Taurus decan 1 is ruled by Mercury. The Sun steam rolls through constellations Aries, Cassiopeia, the Triangle, the River and the Goldfish from April 21 – 30. These can be the raging bulls of Taurus, with less of the usual placid, laid-back energy they are known for. Due to precession, this sector is totally dominated by the constellation of Aries. The influence of Queen Cassopeia is also very strong, even though the poor love was strapped upside down in her throne and hung far up in the poles for her boasting. There is aggressive energy here and Mercury ruling Taurus decan 1 also speeds things up considerably. These people are gifted orators and fight their battles with words. They are supreme propagandists. For them the pen really is mightier than the sword. Taurus decan 1 is the dictator zone. This is a bestial sign so their directing style might sometime lack grace or tact and their expression is frank and to the point.
Taurus decan 1 are like primary school children, demanding and cute at the same time. Doe-eyed Bambi when asking for treats, then a fuming, silent tantrum if they don’t get their way. Taurus decan 1 can do petulance like no-one else. Eradinus the river gives a meandering, adaptable element surprising in a fixed sign. They will go with the flow, “Whatever your want dear” and adapt to fit your idea of a dream lover… until they have bedded you. Then the famous fixed stubbornness then comes out. Try telling them where you want to eat tonight and watch for the silent “No” (a snort), while the hooves drill themselves into the ground.
Mercury bulls love to learn and are great conversationalists. Talking and eating at the same time is their unique talent. They are useful at dinner parties, since they bring the best wine and fill in awkward silences. Too much of the fine wine though can turn them into ranting bull who never leaves. Very hard to move them once they get comfortable and fixed into a juicy topic. Their stars commence with Angetenar, in the bend in the river near Fornax. It “gives a love of knowledge and science, much travel and many changes, a position of authority” The love of learning and research comes with a healthy scepticism. Everything needs to be tested and proved. There is also the capability for letting the mind wander but then being able to organise all its many disparate ideas into one coherent form.

Taurus 3º 58’ ~ Sheratan in the left horn of Aries the Ram. 2.7
Taurus 5º 07’ ~ Caph in the chair of Queen Cassiopeia. 2.4
Taurus 6º 52’ ~ Metallah in the Triangle. 3.6

Taurus 7º 47’ ~ Schedir in the breast of Queen Cassiopeia. 2.5
Taurus 7º 79’ ~ Alpha Dorado in the Goldfish. 3.4
Mesarthim and Sheratan are two horny stars close together known as “the Butters”. They are both of the nature of Mars and Saturn, with Sheratan the wilder of the two; “Daredevils and bold, danger is indicated when acting impulsively and in a foolhardy way.” If the planet is closer to Mesarthim then they are more likely to show the ministerial, protective, side of the Mars/Saturn qualities. Caph in Cassiopeia has a brief but interesting interpretation “A troublemaker as concerns the fortunes of Islam.” (!?). The constellation as a whole “It is said to give haughtiness, boastfulness and exaggerated pride, but at the same time the power of commanding respect.” [1]. We can see the outspokenness. Taurus decan 1 can make huge claims with words, so copywriters, journalists and spin-doctors do well here. Some could get into trouble for their outlandish claims, and could at worse be sued for libel.
Raging Bulls
There is also a covetous side to Cassiopeia here. Manilus associated it with goldsmiths and “the enhancement of beauty and devices for adorning the body: from gold has been sought the means to give grace to the appearance; precious stones have been spread over head, neck, and hands….” .[3] Together with the influence of the alpha star of Dorado in the goldfish this can bring out the typical Taurean love of luxury goods. Metallah in Triangulum is associated with Ceres who asked that it be put in the sky to represent her island Sicily in the sky as a gift to her daughter Persephone. There may be an issue with money, either sudden great wealth or sudden poverty. The psyche has to adjust to the effect of insecurity V power. So Taurus decan 1 could either be very anti-consumerist or conversely, greedy for a high status lifestyle with all the trimmings.

Taurus decan 1 can breed thieves or extortionists. Schedir is the main star in Cassiopeia and “Incorporates serious demeanor with joi-se-vivre. This star is not considered unlucky, but a certain amount of demonic power seems to be ascribed to it. Should good living transgress reasonable limits the results will be disadvantageous.” One can see the temptation for Taurus decan 1 to abuse its position here.
Acting with integrity and resisting the bling Queen Cassiopeia promises is paramount. Hamal its neighbour also warns of “violence brutishness, cruelty and premeditated crime.” [4], even sadism! We immediately think of Hitler and Saddam Hussien from the list below. However if this star resists the urge to totally dominate, it can also produce exceptional leaders who defend the social welfare of their community. This sector of the sky is packed with many potent stars so Taurus decan 1 must be expecially mindful to use this power wisely.
