The weekly horoscope for Monday April 22 – Sunday April 28. Before I launch into it, here’s a personal update. I am back from my holiday in Spain. While I was there, I had the leisure to experiment with traditional astrology methods like profection and timelord techniques. Traditional Astrology complements my use of the fixed stars perfectly. Fear not tho, this does not mean I have turned into a Hellenistic fundamentalist. Traditional astrology, (Like some of the fixed stars interpretations.) has language and terminology that can seem dry, a tad sexist and fatalistic. Which can be off-putting for most psychologically minded modernists. My plan is to slowly integrate these ancient methods into my modern toolkit. Like Mozart on a synth.
I was always a post-modern collage illustrator. So I find I am doing the same with astrology, not following any one doctrine or school. I have Chiron exactly opposite Uranus in my nativity, so feel I am supposed to marry the ancient with the modern. To reinvent and to revive. I also have progressed Sun conjunct Saturn at the moment. I like the contrast of having a solid structure to underpin my wayward peregrine Aquarian impulses. The terminology was always there, back in my music days I wrote two songs, Peregrine Cat and Timelord. Funny.. Saturn happens to be the most dignified planet in my chart. He is my friend, which explains why hard Saturn transits have always been so productive for me. It is nice to reclaim Saturn as my Aquarian stellium’s ruler. The Week Ahead
The Sun is now in Taurus Decan 1 which contains stars from Constellation Aries. Mars is here too, so the combined heat of the rams and the fertile earth of the bulls make this a fabulous time to start planting your seeds. Many great empire builders were born in this decan, but there is also a risk of going down the dictatorship route. Watch out for bullys. After all that Aries action in March things mellow out for a while. Make the most of the calm because we are about to be shaken up again by eclipse season. You may notice some “mopping up” occurring related to the to the spicy November 2012 Lunar Eclipse. This was the intense Yod to the Hyades and Black Moon Lilith so some of us will be very glad to see this one go. Key words for it: “emotional, controlling, manipulative, cunning, sharp minds, strategic, strong passions, brave, daring, stalkers, obsessive, compulsive”. I wrote “You will need to keep your wits about you. Try to let these bunny boilers down, very, very gently… but don’t be afraid to say no to them. Yes, there will be tears and dramas, they will try anything.” So early this week you may get a repeat oscar-winning performance. Keep strong! Not long to wait for fresh blood though, April 25 we have the Lunar Eclipse at 5º Scorpio.
Weekly Horoscope Aspects
April 22 The Sun aligns with the horny part of the ram. A passionate Venus on Hamal is opposite Rx Saturn. Karmic confrontations with authority, sibling rivalry, competitiveness in love. We all want to be simply the best today, like Tina Turner.
April 23 Moon into Libra. For the next three days Sun aligns with Mesarthim and Sheratan in constellation Aries. The two horny stars close together near the rams horns known as “the Butters”. They are both of the nature of Mars and Saturn, with Sheratan the wilder of the two; “Daredevils and bold, danger is indicated when acting impulsively and in a foolhardy way.” Today the Sun closer to Mesarthin is more likely to show the ministerial, protective, side of the Mars/Saturn qualities.
April 24 We get the start of the formation of the heavenly eclipse kite which will last for the rest of the forecast period. Today is extremely busy aspect wise, we have the daredevil influence from yesterday still plus Mercury sextile Jupiter which is great for writers and study. It will allow you to pull out some freshly baked ideas from the collective. We also get a sensual, sexy Venus trine Pluto for those of you who would rather just stimulate those lower chakras..
April 25 The Lunar eclipse at 5º Scorpio on fixed star Gacrux in the Crucifix. Some of the key words: “Unity, compromise, balance, judgement, karma, fate, telling the future, natural law, culmination, endings, cosmic morphine, seasonal adjustments, awareness of nature, sun worship, son of god, crosses to bear….”
April 26 Sun aligns with the triangle. Triangulum could signify triangular relationships within the family such like Pluto/Persephone/Ceres or be about bringing peace or compromise between warring tribes “is said to give a just, companionable, truthful, righteous and benevolent nature, with interest in architecture and Freemasonry.”
April 27 Moon into Sagittarius. Mars sextile Neptune & Sun sextile Ceres are at the helm of the heavenly Kite. We may very well be tempted to escape with a bottle of fine wine today. With Ceres I suggest making it formal and go off and have a really plush dinner out rather than grab a bottle of cheap Thunderbird. It will blow your head off and you your don’t want to be scraping mashed up brain off the carpet the next day.
April 28 Sun opposite Saturn. If your are scraping mashed brain off the carpet then ha ha ha, I bloody warned you didn’t I? Now you have this heavy aspect to contend with. Say 10 “Hail Marys” for your foolery.
