On Thursday, May 17, 2012 award winning astrologer Melanie Reinhart will lecture, titled A Centaur among Centaurs – Introducing Chiron for the Astrological Society of Connecticut at Keeney Cultural Center, 200 Main St., Wethersfield, CT at 7:00 PM.
Melanie will review the meaning of Chiron, with its astronomy and mythology. We will take a personal and inward view, considering how the energy and meaning of Chiron is reflected in our own lives and in our horoscope.
On Saturday May 19, 2012 Melanie will continue with her Chiron material in a workshop titled Healing Journey – Transits of Chiron from 10 AM to 5 PM, Fisk Hall, Wesleyan University, Middletown CT.
In this workshop, Melanie will focus on the transits of Chiron, as well as the ‘Centaurs’ Pholus and Nessus, demonstrating the sometimes astonishing literalness of their astrological symbolism. In addition, the ancestral dimension of Chiron’s meaning along with suggestions about how to work with this important material.
Melanie Reinhart was born in Zimbabwe, whose night skies inspired her astrological vocation. She holds a B.A. in English, Music and Drama and has been a professional astrologer since 1975. She is a recipient of the prestigious Charles Harvey Award for ‘exceptional service to astrology’.
