Kelly Preston and John Travolta have been together for almost 20 years, which (Scientology and Battlefield Earth aside) already makes us root for them. Sadly, the pair has been through a pretty rough time lately, so we’re thrilled to report that they welcomed a baby this past week!
And it’s a boy! Baby Benjamin was born 8 pounds, 3 ounces in a silent birth, according to the traditions of Scientology. That means there was no music, talking, screaming or communicating with the kid for 7 days so as not to haunt him later in life.
Aside from the bizarreness that is Scientology, these proud parents kicked the strangeness quotient up a notch because of how old they are. Did you know that Kelly just turned 48?! And John’s 56? By the time this kid graduates from college, he’s going to be a pro at changing adult diapers. (Gross. And also: hee.)
