On March 25 seven new millionaires were created by the Mega Millions multi state lottery. Those of us that bought tickets go” Why couldn’t it be me?”
With the overall odds of hitting that one combination of 5 white and 1 yellow ball at 175,711,536 to one, it seems impossible that anyone would win at all. So what does it take to win that lottery?
There are two questions to investigate. One is “when” those magic balls will give up a winning combination, and the other is “where”? Can astrology provide an answer?
Sleuthing the chart of Mega Millions is not easy. This lottery is run by the Mega Millions consortium, but this consortium doesn’t seem to have business address. Wikipedia gives an imprecise date of May 2002 as the date it replaced its former incarnation, the Big Game. No day, no place and certainly no time! However, the Mega Million website on the other hand was set up on April 4, 2001 by the New Jersey Lottery, Lawrenceville, NJ as sourced by the WhoIs Database, the listing of all websites on the internet. Absent any other legal documents, the purchase of the web address of the same name constitutes a beginning of this game. Certainly if any other astrologers disagree with this reasoning, please leave a comment. I use the time of 9:00 AM, the time when many businesses commence their business day for the birth time, though of course this most likely is not the correct time. However, I find it useful in evaluating businesses to use this time. This means we can’t consider house or moon positions, just aspects to the planets. But as we will soon see, there is enough of those to make some very meaty observations.
This birth chart features a Sun in Aries sitting alongs side the planet of money, Venus and the planet of commerce, Mercury. Oh this game is in the business of making money! Saturn in the money oriented sign of Taurus is in challenged aspect to the planet of the unexpected, Uranus. This game does not giving up its money, but sitting next to this Saturn is Jupiter, the planet of expansion, luck and gambling. Saturn is made to “give it up” eventually but virtue of this Jupiter. But what really tells the tale is the planet Uranus.
In examining the results of three large jackpots we see something interesting. In all three cases, that Uranus is hit and hit hard.
Largest MegaMillions jackpot won on 1 ticket on March 25, 2011, this ticket was bought in New York State.
Here we see Chiron, Neptune and Venus sitting on the natal Uranus opposite natal Moon. Of course when you are dealing with slow moving planets like Chiron and Neptune, you look for a fast moving “trigger” planet like Mercury, the planet of commerce, or the Moon. In this case, Mercury in friendly energetic connection to natal Uranus appears to be the trigger.
Global record for cash value jackpot, two tickets won, one in Idaho and the other Washington.
On this January 4, 2011 win Transiting Chiron and Neptune again are prominent, but this time transiting Mercury is making an applying sextile to Uranus.
“Mega Millions’ largest annuity jackpot, of $390 million, was for the March 6, 2007 drawing. Two tickets also won this jackpot; one each from Georgia and New Jersey; both sets of winners chose the cash option, splitting $233 million.”
Neptune and Chiron are conjunct Uranus, but here Mercury is directly overhead.
But where things get really interesting is when we look at the Astro*Cartography*Maps of these wins. To get this information I use the transit current to the day and time of the drawing, but apply the location of Lawrenceville, NJ as the location.
March 25, 2011 Megamillions Prize
The Venus, Chiron and Uranus transits run straight through New York and if you look closely enough extremely near Albany, NY where the ticket was purchased!
January 4, 2011 Megamillions Prize
Neptune, one of the transiting planets hitting the natal Uranus of the MegaMillions chart runs straight through Idaho and a corner of Washington.
March 6, 2007 Megamillions Prize
Neptune runs straight through Georgia and New Jersey is between the Mercury and Neptune lines.
This is only three jackpot prizes, and though the results are intriguing, 3 charts don’t prove a theory about lottery prizes. However though there is something here to study. With these lottery charts there is synchronicity in the numbers
