The transit of Black Moon Lilith (BML) through the sign of Scorpio, running from March 27 to December 20, 2025, is a profound and unavoidable invitation to the dark. It is not a gentle request; it is an epochal descent into the very core of our collective and personal shadow.
Black Moon Lilith, the astrological point representing the untamed, uncompromised feminine spirit, only graces each sign for about nine months. When she moves into Scorpio—the sign of ultimate transformation, secrets, power, and death/rebirth—the combination is nothing short of explosive. It is time to stop avoiding the basement of the psyche.
What is Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio Asking of Us?
Lilith in any sign illuminates the area of life where we feel most exiled, where our primal power was shamed, rejected, or suppressed by societal expectations. Scorpio governs the realms of:
- Intimacy and Shared Resources (The 8th House): Debt, taxes, inheritance, and the deep, alchemical merging with another person (sexuality, vulnerability, trust).
- Shadow and Transformation: The repressed desires, fears, and psychic baggage we hide, even from ourselves.
- Power and Control: The desire to dominate or, conversely, the fear of being dominated.
The BML in Scorpio transit is a nine-month intensive where we are forced to confront our most taboo and feral urges—the jealousy, the lust for power, the desire for profound (and sometimes vengeful) control.
The Lilith Mandate: Reclaim the part of yourself that was banished for being “too much.”
Three Core Themes of the Transit
1. The Psychic Unleashing
Scorpio is a sign of intense psychic and intuitive power. With Lilith here, the veil thins around the unspoken truths, deep secrets, and subconscious currents of ourselves and others. Expect:
- A surge in intuition and vivid, symbolic dreams.
- The sudden revelation of long-held secrets within families, partnerships, or organizations.
- A compulsion to investigate and know the truth, no matter how uncomfortable.
2. Redefining Sexual Power and Taboo
This transit directly confronts our relationship with our own sexual vitality, the money we share, and the power dynamics within intimate bonds. It asks:
- Where have you been shamed for your desires?
- Are you using intimacy to exert control, or are you truly meeting another soul without the armor?
- It is a period of sexual healing and reclamation, but this process often begins with the painful acknowledgment of past trauma or manipulation.
3. Fearless Shadow Work
This is the most potent period for deep psychological integration. The parts of ourselves we deem “unacceptable” are now clamoring for attention. To work with this energy effectively, we must:
- Embrace the Dark Mirror: Look honestly at your possessiveness, jealousy, or vindictive thoughts without judgment. They are merely misplaced survival instincts.
- Transmute the Obsession: Scorpio energy tends toward obsession. Use this intensity to become obsessed with your own healing and personal evolution instead of external drama.
Synthesis Prompt for the Transit
This transit perfectly aligns with the mission of The Chiron Synthesis Journal. Chiron, the Wounded Healer, finds its resource (the Dispositor) in the depths of Scorpio’s domain. The pain points—the old wounds—are now ready for radical surgery.
- Journal Prompt: Identify one area of your life where you have felt powerless (career, a relationship, a financial situation). Write down the opposite feeling: absolute, uncompromising power. What would you have to do, internally and externally, to own that power? How does owning this power challenge a past fear or shame?
The Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio transit demands authenticity. You cannot fake transformation; you must undergo it. By facing the parts of yourself you’ve disowned, you reclaim the power you were forced to surrender.
