Congratulations on having survived yet another Mercury retrograde! I hope you had as much fun blaming everything and anything on it as I did. Now we have to roll up our sleeves, set aside the excuses, and deal with what else the zodiac has to hand us this week.
When it comes to your romantic and social connections, we always have to take a look at Venus and Mars. Those two planets are in an interesting position. As has been the case for some time now, Venus is in Virgo and Mars is in Gemini. These are both Mercury-ruled, and with Mercury (finally off the retrograde) there may be an opportunity for us to make more sense of our connections to others.
Then again, with Mercury, Venus, and Mars all headed in a straight line and relatively unaspected, there will also be opportunities to head-butt your way into the wrong relationship for the wrong reasons or at the wrong time.
Meanwhile, Saturn and Uranus both continue to be retrograde and in a square aspect to each other. Yes, I know 2022 has already been a long enough year without more of that nonsense going on. It’s going to be difficult to make permanent, solid sense of things in the next couple of months. My recommendation is to double down on the kindness and compassion. We all need more of that.
On Saturday, Pluto turns direct at 26 degrees Capricorn. Pluto has a scary reputation, but it is incredibly slow. If it has made trouble for you, it has probably done so for a long time. If it has been a benefit to you, you get to continue that roll for a while. Mostly though, this indicates that we are now in a time where if you have any major placements in your birth chart strongly aspecting 26 degrees Capricorn, then the grind will continue (looking at you United States of America, born July 4 1776!).
So in a lot of ways, this week feels sort of like an in-between time. It’s a time where there may be no great explosions happening today — but they certainly have in past, and odds are good they will in future. Knowing this is a good way to be prepared for what life may throw you in the next month.
And if you want to get your head straight about things, we have a Full Moon in Aries on Sunday that appears custom-designed to ruin your concentration and make everyone a little edgier. It’s at 16 degrees Aries, so check that point in your birth chart to see where the crazy may happen this weekend. And yes, that Full Moon is forming a sextile to Mars in Gemini… so whatever Full Moon nonsense breaks out is likely to be louder and more assertive than usual. Sounds like a good excuse to me to stay home Sunday evening. How about you?
