Are you beginning to feel a bit of a grind in your life? Perhaps you hear a distant, high-pitched squeal like a train putting the brakes on slowly? That’s likely because of Mars in Gemini. Odds are very good that if you have significant placements in your birth chart between about 15 to 25 degrees of the mutable signs (that is: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces), you will find those points in your chart unusually stressed this week and in the following weeks… and thanks to the dreaded retrograde, you will be experiencing these conditions again in late November or early December. And when the retrograde is over, those points will be getting one more hit from Mars between January and March next year. Don’t you just love a good retrograde? Yeah, sure you do. Nonetheless: keep an eye on the patterns that are starting to arise this week. There’s a lesson in this for many of us.
Yes, Mercury Retrograde is still happening, and I’m still tired of it. However, if you find things going astray in your life this week, it is not going to be just because of Mercury. It’s because Mars is in a Mercury-ruled sign, so time to double down on restraint. Please, for both your sake and the sake of any witnesses: get a grip!
On Thursday, the Sun enters Libra. In theory, this gives us all an opportunity to be more diplomatic and careful with each other’s feelings. I know that’s a stereotype, but please people, we should buy into it every once in a while.
On Friday, Mercury enters Virgo. Mercury in Virgo is strong and this will hopefully take some of the edges off of that retrograde. And finally, if everything goes sideways in your life, there’s always the chance to reset it when the New Moon happens. The New Moon on Sunday is at 2 degrees Libra. It is relatively unimpaired by challenging aspects, so you might want to take advantage of this time to settle in, calm yourself and think about where you really want to go in your life in the next month — whether it’s with your romantic interests or otherwise.
