Venus is currently enjoying her trip through the later degrees of Leo and will enter Virgo next week. Later in the week should be a good time for all of your Venus-related pursuits — but proceed with caution early in the week. That would be because, on Monday, Venus is finishing off the opposition to Saturn, which is a very chilly place for Venus to be. All else being equal, you may find you’re having a harder time having fun than usual. But towards the weekend, Venus manages to remain relatively unencumbered (other than the quincunx to Pluto). And when it gets to the point where you’re looking at quincunxes, you’re probably just looking for trouble. Relax and enjoy it.
That’s all fine and well for the more passive, feminine or Yin side of romantic pursuit. But what about that old hothead Mars? As you probably know by now, Mars is still in the early degrees of Gemini and it is scheduled to spend an ungodly long time in that sign. Whether or not this is good or bad or indifferent news for you will depend in large part on the details of your birth chart. However, I should mention that on Wednesday, Mars sextile Jupiter is exact and remains a major influence throughout the entire week. This can give you a lot of energy and a lot of drive. It can also be the final bit of fuel that’s needed to add to the fire to really make things blow up with someone. So just remember to be diplomatic and do your warm-ups before you start flexing (literally or figuratively).
I should also mention that Uranus is retrograde now at 18 degrees Taurus. It doesn’t make the exact square to Saturn in Aquarius again (as it did three times in about the last year). But still: it’s close enough that the grind this aspect put you through in 2022 may get an unwelcome (but probably relatively minor) sequel.
And of course, as always, if you screw up your relationship, there’s always a chance to recover at least somewhat if you’ve established proper communications. “Communication” is the domain of Mercury, and Mercury is still having a pleasant time in Libra, which so many of us like to call the relationship sign — so good news overall, right? Well… enjoy that while it lasts. You see, next week both Venus and Mars will be in Mercury-ruled signs. And on the 10th, Mercury just has to turn retrograde, doesn’t it? Consider yourself forewarned now.
