When it comes to the more receptive, romantic or sweeter side of love, astrologers look primarily to Venus. Venus is still having a great time in the early degrees of Leo, which as you’ve probably heard by now, promises a fun-loving good time for one at all. Of course, that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but there’s certainly something to it and that’s especially true this week as Venus makes the trine to Jupiter in Aries. Yeah, quit worrying about Jupiter being retrograde. It’s still Jupiter. And it is a good aspect that usually does more good than harm.
So how have you enjoyed Mars in Taurus so far? Yes, I know it’s a debilitated placement and it doesn’t seem to have done the world a lot of good in general lately, but it may have had some benefits for you personally depending on the details of your birth chart. If Mars in Taurus has been as godawful for you as it has been for many of us, you will be pleased to know that on Saturday Mars enters Gemini. Yes, I know Mars in Gemini is not considered the best possible placement for that planet. But hey, it’s still theoretically a lot better than Mars in Taurus.
Make sure you watch out for various forms of verbal aggression, whether it’s from you or others. Also, unlike Mars in Taurus, Mars in Gemini will eventually make a decent transit to Saturn in Aquarius, but that is a long way away. In the meantime, try to stick to the positive version of Mars in Gemini and use your words and logic to make breakthroughs but not bust any heads.
A preview of next week: next Monday, the Sun enters Virgo. The Sun rules Leo so is theoretically strong there and isn’t quite as strong as the Sun in Virgo. But you know what? Sometimes romance involves focusing more on the other person’s ego than on your own. And this is one thing that the Sun in Virgo absolutely excels at. So basically if you blew off your big bazoo with someone this week, you will have a chance to make up for it at least a little starting next week. In the meantime, in the spirit of Virgo, I ask this time-honored question: why can’t we all just get along?
