This is going to be an unusual weekly forecast, in that the biggest news of the week (astrologically speaking) actually happened last week. If you read last week’s forecast, you will recall that Mars square Saturn is in effect throughout this week as well. Even though the influence of this aspect will be slowly diminishing throughout the week, it is still very much a factor in your personal dealings. Proceed with caution, and be careful you don’t trample on anyone else’s toes on your way to getting what you want.
Similarly, the biggest new aspect of this week isn’t exact until next week. But… we’ll get to that later.
This week, your Ego (and those of others around you) might be experiencing some sudden power surges. Sun opposite Uranus is exact on Monday, and that aspect can make for some weird effects. Some of the people you deal with will be taking themselves far too seriously, and others won’t take themselves seriously enough. Make sure that you yourself are walking that fine line between those two extremes.
The biggest influence on the week (as far as the pursuit of romance and love goes) is exact on Wednesday. Mercury conjunct Venus is an excellent time for expressing your affections in new and effective ways. You will find that you are able to bring a more creative approach to most of your endeavours. If you need to write a love letter or make an apology, this is prime time.
Come to think of it: when it comes to writing messages, you better get on that ASAP. Thursday is when Mercury turns retrograde. If you’ve been following astrology for long, you know that Mercury retrograde is the time when all your usual communications and short trips and agreements are subject to more difficulties, more confusion, and more unintended consequences. The standard advice at a time like this is to think carefully before you open your mouth or send that message.
All of that probably seems pretty innocuous, and if that’s all there was to it, you’d be right. However, as I mentioned earlier, one of this biggest influences on the week and in fact the year is not exact until next week, but it’s still having a big influence on this week.
If you thought Mars in Libra square Saturn in Capricorn was a big ol’ drag when it came to keeping the peace with the people around you, just wait until you get a taste of Mars square Pluto. Although that aspect isn’t exact until early next week, it is still an influence on much of this week. Combined with the ongoing effects of last week’s Mars square Saturn, you might want to consider treading very carefully around other people’s feelings.
Come to think of it, you might want to consider staying at home and not talking to anyone. Don’t worry though, this will pass. Just make sure you don’t provoke any unnecessary hostilities between now and then.
