Hand your credit cards to a trusted friend, with instructions to not hand them back until next week.
Seriously: Venus square Saturn sucks. You can negotiate around the worst of it, but any work on your romantic life is going to be harder than usual and less likely to result in progress. But stick with me here… there’s potential good news this week as well. Just one more bit of bad news to go, hooray!
Communications will be particularly challenging this week. The Venus-Saturn square is book-ended by two Mercury aspects that might make thinking clearly or expressing your intents difficult. First, Mercury sextile Jupiter (exact on Tuesday) would normally be a time for broad and creative thinking, but it is held back by the impending weight of Mercury square Pluto, which is exact on Thursday. When these two influences are combined, it can be a little like having an easy and creative time expressing your needs — and those needs involve you taking hostages and making some demands. Again, if you haven’t figured it out by now: this is not the week to go making any major changes to your love life.
Fortunately, the week ends with two more influences that are a lot more conductive to romance. On Saturday, there is a New Moon in Libra. New Moons tend to represent the beginning of a new cycle, and with a little conscious effort on your part there can be a considerable payoff in the following month. Given that this New Moon is in Libra, re-dedicating yourself to better things in your love life makes a lot of sense this weekend, even if the payoff doesn’t happen that day.
Finally, the day of the New Moon also brings us Venus sextile Jupiter, which is an aspect that can make for warm and wonderful results in your relationships. And, at the end of a week like this? That’s exactly what a lot of us are going to need.
