Brace yourselves for a hormone storm, everyone! Sex drives are going to be all over the place this week, thanks to three conflicting aspects to Mars.
First, on Monday, Mars trine Saturn is exact. Nothing ever really gets done without Mars, but that planet needs a little guidance and a sustainable frame of reference in order to get lasting results. That’s where Saturn comes in. That may not sound terribly sexy to you, but in my experience this aspect can really pump the gas on one’s sex drive. That, and it’s nice that the blazing impetuousness of Mars is, for once, being directed in a constructive way.
…Or is it? On Thursday, Mars square Jupiter is exact. While Saturn is trying to keep Mars on task, Jupiter in Sagittarius just wants to party — perhaps at any cost. This sets the stage for a classic battle of wills between Jupiter and Saturn: faith and optimism vs. structure and order. Used wisely, the energy this week could be both fun and constructive. Show impatience or try to bend the rules too much, though? The whole thing could collapse into a hot mess.
In circumstances like this, overall it might be best to err on the side of “cautious optimism.” No problem there — Mercury conjunct Venus is exact on Friday. The turbulence caused by Jupiter and Saturn throughout the week can easily be smoothed out by this aspect. Mercury conjunct Venus is a relatively soft aspect that’s over with quickly, which is a shame, because it’s a wonderful influence… especially when it comes to matters of the heart.
All of this leads into the weekend dating scene, when things really heat up! No less than four major events change the game as far as your romantic pursuits are concerned.
Mars opposite Neptune, although it is exact on Saturday, has been a quiet influence on Mars for the entire week. In a lot of ways this can be called a “negative” aspect. There can be a lot of confusion (or even outright deception) when it comes to what (and who) you really want. However, there’s a lot of good in this transit, at least potentially. It can soften tempers and lend a gauzy romantic haze to your love life. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?
Also, Saturday also brings us a Full Moon in Pisces. In my experience, this is one of the most emotionally-charged Full Moons of the year. Be careful how you let that sensitivity play out.
Finally, and also on Saturday, there is a significant tonal shift in your romantic life, and both Mercury and Venus move from Virgo into Libra.
