Overview

September 26th sees a fortuitous union between the Sun and Jupiter in Libra, which points to developments during September 30th’s New Moon in Libra. Jupiter’s influence increases hopes, future possibilities and goodwill. Nothing is set in stone at this point, but it can certainly feel good. Social aspects (platonic and romantic) should receive the most significant impact, so use this week to reach out and see what others have to offer. Increased receptivity and cooperation can create progress in an area that you wouldn’t usually consider. Note that this Moon features a questionable inconjunct to Neptune Rx, so there is a risk of overestimating. But there’s also a nice sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius, lending support to realistic efforts.  

September 26th also sees Pluto in Capricorn stationing direct, and September 27th marks Mars’ Capricorn ingress. Forward movement of Pluto’s total metamorphosis, combined with Mars’ immediate actions, mean significant progress. Mars is the visible manifestation (via initiative, effort, passion or anger) of Pluto’s evolution, and Capricorn gives this energy structure and focus. Train your sights in the right direction and apply sustained effort. 

Note the disparity between Jupiter/Libra’s buoyancy and Pluto/Mars/Capricorn’s more solitary, serious vibe. One may be favoured over the other, depending on your situation.  But ideally, a blend of both (social optimism underpinned with grounded focus) will deliver maximum results.

Venus’ Transit of Scorpio: Beauty of the Coiled Truth

Venus enters Scorpio on September 23rd. Relationships, values, self-esteem and financial issues get real, as truths are exposed with unblinking passion. But this transit is not just about the intense desire to possess. Venus in Scorpio’s intensity comes from in-depth exploration – going beneath the surface to understand the truth of the attraction. Why is this relationship satisfying/not satisfying? Why do you want this person or item? How far can you push this attraction? She is the beauty in what many consider ugly, frightening or forbidden. 

Virgo is the sign of intellectual analysis, but Scorpio is instinctive analysis.

True intimacy happens when limits are crossed, in a healthy, empowering way. Mercury’s shift from Rx to direct signals progress, answers and the results of corrections. The trine to Pluto adds profound understanding and impact. Improvements can be more meaningful than you realize. Combined with the Autumn Equinox on September 22nd, this will be a significant turning point.
