Overview

The December 13th Full Moon in Gemini delivers a Moon/Saturn opposition, and a Jupiter in Libra/Uranus Rx in Aries opposition (with Ceres – fiery rebirth). These stressful aspects are connected with harmonious aspects, creating a unique mix of pressure and flow, limits and freedom (technically known as a Mystic Rectangle). Saturn will pinpoint one issue and essential reality. If you’re blocked, Jupiter/Uranus can present a loophole. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by any surprises that Jupiter/Uranus dish up, Saturn can keep you steady and focused on what needs to be done.

Chiron in Pisces squares this Moon, and makes an awkward inconjunct to Jupiter. Events will not be pain free, but the Cardinal (Libra/Aries) and Mutable (Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces) qualities of this mix can help you push forward while dealing with contradictions. Despite Saturn, this can be a fast-acting Moon that offers you positive alternatives.

Aries

The Full Moon in your communication sector points to an official document, conversation, decision or realization. You may feel some uneasiness with the results, especially if you’re pushed to give an answer. Aspects to Uranus Rx/Ceres in your sign suggest this could turn out well for you. The restrictions may not be so heavy. Look beyond the formalities and you’ll see encouragement for a personal project or new impulse that you’re passionate about.

An either/or situation in a partnership (romantic or platonic) could also be a theme – commit or move on. Some of your uneasiness will be triggered by this. Relationship change will stir up “what ifs” that you’re not openly discussing. Consider what’s making you feel vulnerable, and why you’re holding back.

Taurus

The Full Moon in your sector of personal resources hi-lights a choice or conversation about earned money, personal values or self-esteem. There’s a reality to confront, regarding what you’re earning, or what you need – you may not have enough, but this Moon will illuminate what you can do to change that. Your contributions versus a partner’s contributions may also be a theme. Insecurities will be emphasized, along with the tools you have to address them. There are multiple solutions within the limits you’re dealing with. You may need to approach finances/sources of income/security issues with more flexibility, and consider something that you normally wouldn’t.

Your work, self-improvement efforts and daily routines are crucial for turning the tide in a favourable direction. Growth and expansion is easy to achieve, because it involves the things you do each day. A breakthrough or surprising solution involving a work or health issues is possible. For now, don’t worry about the big picture – look at what you can improve in the immediate future.

Gemini

The Full Moon in your sign hands you multiple issues. The choice or conversation involving a partnership, or your one-on-one contacts in general, can make you feel stuck. You may be asked to deal with an impossible work situation, or commit to something that you don’t feel great about. However, know that you’ve got innovation on your side. A friend, acquaintance or outside source of inspiration can help you get around a tight situation. There is one priority, but there are also more positives attached to it than youthink.

Romance, celebrations, personal projects or self-expression are supported by this Moon, despite its limits. An ending can focus you on something that has greater potential. Or, you can finesse your way around an awkward situation and come out looking good. Keep talking, exploring alternatives, and get ready to take advantage of any happy surprises(even as you struggle with feeling self-conscious or unsuccessful).

Cancer

The Full Moon in your hidden sector can illuminate a blindspot related to work, obligations or health. There’s something you can no longer avoid or put off. Too, some information that you were unaware of could decide the matter. This is in line with your future goals and career progress – attention to the hidden matter can open new doors in your professional life, or encourage the development of a vibrant future. Too, an obligation or work/health restriction can have hidden benefits.

Home and family life can benefit as well, as changes trickle down to all levels. A relocation, home business or expansion of your domestic life can progress quickly, even as you deal with fear of moving into new territory. If you start to feel overwhelmed by all the possibilities, bring your focus back to the immediate concerns.

Leo

The Full Moon in your social sector hi-lights a confirmation and/or limit involving publicresponse to what you’re offering. It may be launch time, or time to cut your losses and consider a new project. Either way, the public results could leave you feeling exposed. Targeting a specific group may be an issue. Too, a friendship or group association could be clearly defined. As the confirmation settles, know that this can be your launch to something hopeful and unexpected. If you’re confronted with limits around self-expression or romance, consider searching in new territory. Branch out – you have more options.

Communication is your ace in the hole. Keep talking, asking or making your ideas known. Push beyond the final answer. The response may be unexpected, but positive. As you gather information or advertise your ideas, some uncomfortable issues involving money or hidden insecurities will be raised. Acknowledge them, but don’t stop.

Virgo

The Full Moon in your career sector can mark a career turning point, choice or reality check about your professional image. Domestic responsibilities versus career success can be an issue, with added pressure from a partner or family. However, there’s also something encouraging brewing in the background – progress in a financial or partnership situation is possible, and is supported by your domestic responsibilities. Continue doing what needs to be done.

Finances and/or emotional security can receive an unexpected boost. Or, a sudden change can present you with more resources than you anticipated. Keep your eyes open regarding new sources of income, or new ways to handle more on your plate. The results can pay big dividends, or allow you to deal with professional and personal pressures in the best possible way.

Libra

The Full Moon in your sector of opportunities can mark a legal or official announcement, decision or ending. Words will manifest as an unbreakable commitment or structure, and you may have mixed feelings about this as the outcome leaves you vulnerable. Despite any concerns, know that steady progress in a relationship, or in your one-on-one contacts, is locked in place. Whatever direction you’re heading, it’s the best one for you.

Aspects to Jupiter in your sign indicate that this is all in support of you. Events can come at you quickly, and you may feel unbalanced and overwhelmed. Perhaps you get what you were hoping for, but its not exactly what you expected. This could be a case of “careful what you wish for.” Nonetheless, everything that’s happening is supportive of the growth in your public identity, lifestyle, relationship or personal project.

Scorpio

The Full Moon in your sector of shared resources can put you on the spot, regarding finances or an emotional exchange. You could feel pushed to agree to something that’s out of your control, or give/pay more than you feel comfortable with. Too, a financial reality may become unpleasantly clear. However, know that these limits will work for you, because there’s still room to incorporate ongoing changes in your work or daily life. Your focus and ability to make the correct changes will be enhanced.

Watch for a breakthrough, positive change in your daily routine/health or solution to a problem. There are hidden benefits to this Moon that you won’t be aware of, at first.

Sagittarius

The Full Moon in your partnership sector can bring a relationship decision,  turning point or ending. Aspects to Saturn in your sign can increase the pressure – your increased responsibilities and focus on what’s essential to you will be key. You may feel that you have no choice, or that the conclusion is inevitable. Innovation or breaking with tradition can work in this situation that appears to be a done deal. You may not be able to change the outcome (and you may not want to) but you can certainly make room for your personal expression and freedom.

The urge to make things public, or speed up favourable results, can see you pushing for more. The results may catch you off guard, and social/relationship outcomes will be connected to developments involving children/pregnancy, creative work or your desire for romantic self-expression.

Capricorn

The Full Moon in your sector of routine hi-lights a work or health issue. A transition or ending may put the pressure on, although it will be from the background. The external results could manifest as excess obligations or stress related symptoms. Discussions with co-workers, or conversations about what needs to be done, could raise doubts and vulnerabilities. Nonetheless, your attention to detail is an important part of major family/domestic changes. Smooth progress (especially involving a relocation, home renovation or family change) is assured if you take control.

Recognition from management and/or career advancement is also a possibility, as a sudden shift at work or home puts you in the perfect position. Things could work out to your advantage when you least expect it, and the excess pressure can be used to keep you focused on getting ahead. A stressful work project could make you look good, if you bring your best to it.

Aquarius

The Full Moon in your sector of self-expression can be the result of a long buildup involving friends, groups, your place in the public, or your desire to be accepted for who you are. A decision or point of clarity can be painful, but ultimately freeing, especially if you’re having a final discussion or putting something into writing. What you hear, say or discover can be the last piece of the puzzle that illustrates what’s best for you. New romance, creative work, children/pregnancy or a celebration of who you are may be themes. The mix could be bitter-sweet, but the end result will favour you.

Revelations can hit suddenly, and freedom (emotional or otherwise) can be yours before you know it. Issues with siblings may be part of the mix. Too, you may be encouraged to reach out, explore, travel or broaden your knowledge, even as social restrictions close another area off.

Pisces

The Full Moon in your domestic sector makes a work or family issue final. Domestic changes or increased responsibility can feel heavy, and the square to Chiron in your sign can leave you feeling unprepared or hurt. However, know that you’ve got significant resources (financial or emotional) on your side. If you don’t see this, step back from the enforced choice or duty, and consider the direction you’re being pushed towards. There’s something that will allow you to get more, earn more or feel freer to express yourself. Too, increased pressure can enable you to buckle down and make the most of a new approach to security.

Finances can shift unexpectedly, with a surprising opportunity, investment or gift. This could be a result of your hard work, or your hard work may be needed to benefit from it.

Full Moon in Gemini: Juggling Contradictions

The December 13th Full Moon (22 degrees Gemini) is a complex one.

The Moon opposes Saturn, suggesting this culmination will involve an enforced choice.  But Uranus Rx/Ceres in Aries aspect Sun/Saturn and the Moon, so it won’t be completely restrictive. Within the limits of the choice, there will be room to accommodate the rebirth of an issue involving freedom, individuality or innovation. Jupiter in Libra opposes Uranus/Ceres and aspects the Moon and Sun/Saturn, so there will also be an unbalanced push or rush to accomplish- perhaps the choice will surprise everyone.

The Moon and Sun/Saturn square Chiron in Pisces, suggesting this culmination will have its painful moments. The choice may not be a happy one, and maybe the act of choosing will make you uncomfortable. And yet, you’ll have to choose, answer, sign, commit or say goodbye. Fortunately, Jupiter is strongly aspected, so even in the midst of your discomfort, there will be something to look forward to. Jupiter’s inconjunct to Chiron means you’ll have to juggle expansion with vulnerabilities, which will be triggered by expansion. Not fun, but not impossible.

If you look at the chart of this Moon, you’ll see it forms a rectangle (I’ve only included the planets/asteroids involved in the configuration). This is known as a Mystic Rectangle, consisting of two oppositions tied together by trines and sextiles. The light of the Full Moon and the flash of Jupiter/Uranus will illuminate something. This illumination will be harsh, due to the tension of the oppositions. But the harmony of the trines and sextiles gives you information to work with it.

This Mystic Rectangle actually gifts you with the best of both worlds – limits that focus the erratic potential of Jupiter/Uranus. And even though Saturn =final, this is a Gemini Moon, and Jupiter/Uranus is stirring things up with last-minute luck, fate, or surges of inspiration. Gemini always has more information and multiple layers. So this ending will not be cut and dried.

Basically, this Full Moon will ask you to make the uncomfortable choice, and then find the freedom within the limits. There will be room for growth and hope – you’ll just have to integrate it into this reality. There’s rebirth (Ceres) after the ending.

This Full Moon is part of the Jupiter/Saturn/Uranus configuration I wrote about here.
