Mars conjoins Pluto at 15 degrees Capricorn. This is the ultimate manifestation aspect: actions are a direct conduit for what’s ready to come into being, or what’s ready to end. This can be empowering or brutal, depending on your focus and level of awareness. The last Mars/Pluto conjunction occurred on November 10, 2014 at 11 degrees, and the next one will happen on April 26th, 2018 at 21 degrees. Each conjunction refers to the previous one, building on or completing what was initiated. Whether you’re wrapping something up or setting something in motion, know that what you do matters, on an immediate, physical level. Act accordingly – focused, direct, efficient. Because Mars/Pluto can be ruthless, awareness of consequences is essential.

Venus’ Transit of Sagittarius: What If It’s Going To Be Ok?

Venus’ Sagittarius ingress begins on October 18th. After the exploration of what lay beneath relationship, financial and self-esteem issues, she reaches out and up. The exploration continues, but now the search for new truths and new possibilities takes you over the horizon.

This transit urges you to have faith that something better is coming. Love will improve and grow. What you want may actually be out there, and you can afford it. Beauty lies in the glow of promise that you can see…just over there. If you don’t have faith that things will improve, that things will be ok, you’ll never get out of bed. And you can choose to not have faith. To believe in nothing. You can sit this one out, because sometimes it’s easier to be hopeless. Hope leaves you open to pain.

But…

…for those who want to progress, you have to move on. You have to take that risk and start believing again. Even a rock solid relationship or value system will stagnate if there’s no expansion. And for sure…the pain of an eviscerating love or the abyss of zero self-esteem will remain magnetically fresh if you don’t move forward. You have to make room for something new, even if you’re not certain that you’ll achieve it. With this transit, the cliché about the journey being more important than the goal is true. What you learn along the way is what triggers growth.

Venus will be in mutual reception with Jupiter in Libra. This adds an extra layer of optimism, as Venus and Jupiter strengthen each other. Partnership issues will be key- new ways to cooperate, new people to meet, new things to learn about a partner you’ve been with for many years. For those who’ve been dancing the same, painful relationship dance, these influences can open your eyes to different ways of connecting. Maybe you don’t have to play the role of ____. That’s the core of Jupiter/Sag’s optimism – you are given a broader perspective, which encourages you to try something different. Sag is a Mutable sign – truth is not carved in stone. The downside is “flexible” honesty. The upside is busting out of unhealthy truths you’ve been telling yourself.

Who knows where this might lead?

The Venus/Jupiter sextile (October 26th) will be an important date. Another key date will be Venus’ conjunction with Saturn, on October 29th – the finish line, reality check or formal commitment.

Here are the aspects Venus in Sagittarius will make:

  • Oct 25th: square Neptune Rx, 9 deg Pisces
  • Oct 26th: sextile Jupiter, 10 deg Libra
  • Oct 27th: square the Virgo/Pisces Nodes, 11 deg
  • Oct 29th: conjunct Saturn, 14 deg
  • Nov 3rd: sextile Pallas, 19 deg Aquarius
  • Nov 4th: square Chiron Rx, 21 deg Pisces
  • Nov 5th: trine Uranus Rx, 21 deg Aries
  • Nov 7th: trine Ceres Rx, 24 deg Aries
  • Nov 11th : Capricorn ingress

October 17th, 2016: Venus in Scorpio Aspects Vesta and Ceres, Pallas Stations Direct

Venus in Scorpio trines Vesta, at 29 degrees Cancer, and makes an inconjunct to Ceres Rx, at 29 degrees Aries. The focus on what you love will deepen, and the flow may become almost obsessive. The greater the intensity of devotion, the greater the tension between this and something independent that’s being nurtured.

Vesta and Ceres are squaring each other (this aspect was exact on October 16th), triggering a crisis between birth/rebirth (Ceres) and devotion (Vesta). Focus in one area will clash with nurturing in another area. Compulsive attraction/love (Venus in Scorpio) will trigger this issue. Vesta is associated with purity (purity of intent, discipline) and Ceres is associated with mothering. When the two are at odds, difficulties with children and parental roles can come up.

The solution is to not plunge so far into what you want, that you forget about what’s struggling to be free. Love that is one thousand fathoms deep is powerful, but it can drown the independent spark. Love deeply, love completely, but make sure you can see the light on the surface.

Pallas in Aquarius stations direct, at 18 degrees. The unconventional pattern that’s been under review since August 12th, 2016 (when Pallas Rx reentered Aquarius) is now complete. You can move forward with it, or let it go.

Overview

Venus enters Sagittarius on October 18th, applying the Sag themes of growth, optimism and adventure to relationship, financial and self-esteem issues. This is a next-step influence, with new possibilities on the horizon. This transit is given extra sparkle due to Venus’ mutual reception with Jupiter (ruler of Sag) in Libra (ruled by Venus). Relationship growth is a biggie, and not just romantic relationships. All mutual exchanges can benefit.

October 19th sees the conjunction of Mars and Pluto in Capricorn. External action meets internal transformation, for a truly powerful union. What manifests will be a direct result of your conscious actions. The last conjunction between Mars/Pluto occurred on November 10th, 2014. The next conjunction will happen on April 26th, 2018. Each conjunction brings results of what began (roughly) two years before. You may start a new chapter that builds on your efforts from the past, two years. Or, you may experience a demolition, and have to start fresh. The opposition between Mercury in Libra and Uranus Rx (on October 20th) follows with a shock of information/understanding. The surprise can motivate, liberate or upset you.

October 22nd sees the Sun’s ingress into Scorpio. The season of deeper waters and undeniable truths will help everyone process the upheaval from the 19th and 20th. Scorpio season urges us to look inwards and (if necessary) withdraw in order to heal, understand, regenerate.

Aries

Venus into your sector of opportunities can attract, in the areas of long-distance romance, travel, education, legal matters or publishing. The key will be your desire to consider new possibilities. Growth in partnerships will be hi-lighted.

Mars/Pluto in your career sector draws your attention to ambition or ruthlessness. A line will be crossed regarding your dealings with authority, or your expression of authority. The turning point will conclude one career chapter and propel you into a new one. The true power dynamics of a situation will be revealed – your self-aware actions could harness this energy, or you could be overwhelmed by it. Meanwhile, Mercury opposing Uranus in your sign can trigger a clarifying conversation/realization in a business or romantic partnership. The balance between you and another could shift in a surprising direction. Too, there could be a sudden reversal as someone does the complete opposite of what was previously discussed.

The Sun into your sector of shared resources will activate issues around debts, taxes, loans, your partner’s finances or physical/emotional intimacy. It will be your choice to examine or ignore the deeper truths behind these issues. Some of what’s hidden may be uncomfortable, but this could also be about getting closer to someone.

Taurus

Venus into your sector of shared resources can increase physical/emotional intimacy, or put a positive spin on debts, taxes, loans or your partner’s finances. The urge to acquire more, share more or get closer can sweeten an existing situation, but watch that expectations/spending don’t exceed reality. Adjusting the balance around how you give, or ho much you want to share, may be an issue.

Mars/Pluto in your sector of opportunities suggests wrapping something up in the areas of long-distance travel, education, legal matters, publishing or exploration. At the same time, a new door to the future will open. Initiative or anger can fire up an ideal, belief or adventure, but use extra caution if you’re travelling or dealing with legal issues. Unchecked Mars/Pluto can be destructive. Mercury/Uranus presents a sharp discovery/conversation about work, co-workers, or health. Issues may conclude abruptly as you get your answer or solution.

The Sun into your relationship sector turns the spotlight on partnership issues (romantic or business). Attached or single, your awareness of the exchange between you and another will increase. Themes will include authenticity, possessiveness and the reality that lies beneath the surface of the one-on-one dance.

Gemini

Venus into your relationship sector sweetens an existing partnership. Too, someone new and intriguing could catch your eye. In general, you’ll feel ready to expand your concept of what partnershipshave to offer. You may be more in the mood for a playmate than a serious commitment, but this attitude can freshen up an existing relationship that’s grown a bit stale.

Mars/Pluto in your sector of shared resources indicates a turning point around debts, taxes, loans, your partner’s finances, or physical/emotional intimacy. A positive situation can intensify, when passion and commitment uncover new strengths. Good for investing, financially or emotionally. Then again, if you’ve mishandled your resources or are not happy with a relationship, this can be a finish line/time to pay.  Mercury/Uranus indicates that the deeper Mars/Pluto eruption may trigger a public announcement or revelation. You could be ready to take a risk and say what you really feel, or your words could be in the spotlight.

The Sun into your sector of routine emphasizes work, health and daily obligations. The reality beneath your routine will be an issue – going through the motions versus a commitment to authentic, empowering habits.

Cancer

Venus into your sector of routine can make things a bit easier for you in the areas of health, exercise, work or daily obligations. Others may help you, or be more receptive to your assistance. Too, you could feel an increased sense of optimism around a diet, exercise or medical issue. If you have a relationship goal in mind, know that the time is ripe for a major change. Mercury/Uranus cap it off with abrupt domestic and/or professional news. A sudden decision may change the course of your future, and your family’s future. Overall, this energy is uncompromising, which is why you need to adopt a tough, boundaries-are-set attitude.

The Sun in your sector of self-expression hi-lights what you want to create. Whether it’s a new life (children), artistic work, more romance or overall pleasure, this time of the year asks you to consider what might happen if you intensified your efforts/observations in these areas.

Leo

Venus into your sector of self-expression can boost your confidence, desire to play, and ability to attract. Fun, flirtations and celebrations are the themes, and your expansive communication/positive mindset will be key. Stay open to new contacts and synchronicity. Excellent selling, promoting or performing.

Mars/Pluto in your sector of routine can signify a finish line/fresh start around health, work scenarios or obligations. The structure of your daily life can reach a point of completion due to your hard work, or it may be time to tear it down and start over. The quality of your work, on yourself or for others, will be crucial. In some cases, a power struggle with a co-worker may come to a head. Mercury/Uranus follows with a snap decision, surprising conversation or rush of clarity. The light may be harsh, but the truth will be liberating. You may decide to jump into something brand new, or sever ties.

The Sun into your domestic sector spotlights home and family. Domestic issues are always rooted in the past. You don’t have to go digging, but an awareness of what’s really going on can help you make strategic decisions, and consciously respond rather than running on automatic pilot.

Virgo

Venus into your domestic sector encourages home improvements, home expansion and a desire for positive family relationships. This influence won’t erase all domestic difficulties, but your expectations and perspective will broaden, which can help you rise above some tensions. Your urge for more security, harmony and happiness will increase, and that’s the first step towards making it happen. On a different note, watch for an increase in purchases – some may be necessary, and some may be indulgences.

Mars/Pluto in your sector of self-expression keeps the momentum going, regarding personal desires. Romance, celebration, creativity, or issues involving children/pregnancy can become areas of increased intensity and ambition: there’s something that you really want, and you may achieve it, or turn a corner and refocus your efforts. On the surface it may appear to be a “nice to have” but it means much more than that. Mercury/Uranus can push you to make a sudden decision regarding money or emotional security. What’s essential will become clear, even if it’s unexpected.

The Sun into your communication sector can increase the flow of emails, phone calls, discussions and brief meetings. This can be a busy time, with an emphasis on the authenticity of information that’s being exchanged.

Libra

Venus into your communication sector can sweeten exchanges with others. Contacts will be friendly, hopeful or flirtatious, and the mutual reception with Jupiter in your sign suggests that the time is right to reach out and contact those who can benefit you. Even if you don’t have a specific goal in mind, you never know who might cross your path.

Mars/Pluto in your domestic sector draws a line between the past and the present. You may see the results of a major domestic change, or it may be time to launch an overhaul of your home and family life. Too, conflicts with family can reach a peak. Mercury in your sign, opposing Uranus, can trigger your no-turning-back moment. A snap decision, relationship change, or clarifying conversation will leave no doubt as to where you’re going next.

The Sun into your sector of personal resources shines a light on earned money, values and self-esteem. Who and what appears to have increasing value in your life will becomeimportant. Can you continue and go deeper with the relationship/job/habit, or is it time to amputate?

Scorpio

Venus into your sector of personal resources can draw your attention to new sources of income, new goodies to buy, or more time where you feel loved and appreciated. Indulgences, spending and earning may appear straightforward on the surface, but a prominent theme/habit is actually connected to a background hope or potential that’s quietly growing. Consider if you’re feeding an ideal, dream or addiction.

Mars/Pluto in your communication sector can indicate the results of a concerted push for information, an ongoing discussion/argument, or your attempts to make yourself heard. A difficult truth can come out, or you may find yourself pushing relentlessly to win an argument. The next chapter could involve a new ambition/plan, fuelled by your determination. Issues with siblings can reveal some heavy truths. Mercury/Uranus continues the truth-telling, with a flash of insight or disruptive revelation. Secrets or facts that were overlooked may be key.

The Sun into your sign says it’s your season. Overall, this solar energy means you have some increased power at your disposal – other transits hitting your chart can support or undermine this. As your birthday approaches over the next month, use this opportunity to take stock of the past year, and the one coming up. No matter what else is happening in the sky, your priority will always be absolute authenticity, within yourself and in how you relate to others. This is your source of strength.

Sagittarius

Venus into your sign ups your charm, optimism and magnetism. You may not win the lottery, but you can certainly attract positive financial and relationship situations, just by being yourself. Social expansion, and connecting with the right people at the right time, is emphasized. You won’t have to think about this – just step out and follow whatever path looks interesting.

Mars/Pluto in your sector of personal resources brings the results of financial and emotional developments over the past two years. The effort you’ve put into saving, reconstructing your relationship to money, and creating solid support systems, can bear fruit. Too, if you’ve been ignoring the unmistakable signs that you need to change your financial habits and personal values, you’ll reach a point where the undermining of your security must be stopped. That may mean a relationship or job ending, or confrontation about money. Either way, the next chapter will involve your energy and ambitions, focused on building up your resources. New sources of income and self-esteem are available, but you have to take action. Mercury/Uranus can trigger a surprising meeting, discussion with friends, or abrupt change in public image.

The Sun into your hidden sector can nudge some background issues, dreams or hidden yearnings. It can be easy to overlook these quiet whispers – tuning into them will take more effort, but you could uncover something valuable.

Capricorn

Venus into your hidden sector can see you pulling back a bit, regarding strategic social or career relationships. Some may be put on hold, others may be up for your deeper consideration. Right now you are in a growth phase – accelerating towards the future. Some will support you, but others won’t be aligned with this new future you’re creating. The Sun into your social sector emphasizes this trend. It’s a general influence, but if you pay attention, you’ll notice a pull to observe others and note whether or not they show up for you when you need them.

Mars/Pluto in your sign can deliver the results of a two-year ambition or project (personal or career). These results can show you that you’re on the right track, or that you need to scrap it and start over. This aspect puts your motivation and (in some cases) anger at an all time high. You may be challenged, or you may do the challenging. You’ve got some serious firepower at your disposal, so act cautiously. If these energies are mishandled, destructive anger can be directed at you.

Social gatherings and group activities can benefit you, with the emphasis on stepping outside your comfort zone. Broadening your social circle, or interacting with people who open your eyes to new truths are possibilities.

Mars/Pluto in your hidden sector may be felt as a background push to manifest a dream. If you’ve been actively trying to make something real, this aspect could deliver results. Or, it may be time to step away from something that is no longer valid and actively set about creating a new framework. Mercury/Uranus can add to the momentum with a sudden announcement/change of plans, in the areas of travel, education, legal matters or publishing.

The Sun into your career sector hi-lights your future goals, and the authenticity of your current work. Pay attention to that deeper feeling of truth (you feel validated by your work) or the sense that your energy is being drained.

Pisces

Venus into your career sector can be very good for your relationships with management, your professional image, job search or professional relationships in general. You can attract positive attention, but know that this is also about deeper potentials unfolding. One relationship in particular could bring more to the table. Mars/Pluto in your social sector marks a result or ending involving a friendship, group activity or your public image. Results will be based on the need for evolution in your social life, and how responsive you’ve been to this. In some cases, a simmering conflict with someone, or with a group, could finally emerge. The next phase is about your public actions, designed to build new connections between you and the collective. Mercury/Uranus can churn up some unexpected information, or an abrupt change of heart,  involving debts, taxes, loans, your partner’s finances, or physical/emotional intimacy.

The Sun into your sector of opportunities hints that there’s more out there, if you’re courageous enough to step into the unknown. This doesn’t have to be a dramatic leap. It could simply involve taking a trip, learning something new or exploring something that catches your eye. The key will be strategic exploration. Does it resonate with you? Don’t just try anything new on for size.

October 13th, 2016: Mercury in Libra Square Mars, Ceres Rx into Aries

Mercury in Libra squares Mars, at 11 degrees Capricorn. Irritation and anger will colour today’s communication. The drive to make your point can upset the social balance. Too, someone may challenge your ideas. But due to Libra’s polite mask, disagreements may be expressed through a gritted-teeth smile.

Ceres Rx reenters Aries. Since July 17th, 2016 she has nurtured the growth of values/resources/self-sufficiency in Taurus. Now, she revisits a beginning that may have occurred when she first entered Aries (April 14th, 2016). This Rx ingress will take you back to an initiation/resurrection. Is it still valid? Has its promise been fully developed? There’s a reason it’s up for review. With Mars (ruler of Aries) challenging Mercury, we can expect part of today’s tense discussions to be triggered by this review.

Today’s influences hit all the right notes –  enthusiasm, harmony and acceptance, with a touch of magic. If you have something to launch, submit or attempt, today’s overall ease and opportunity can help.

Mercury in Libra conjoins Jupiter, at 6 degrees. Jupiter expands Mercury’s wit and verbal grace, and Mercury puts Jupiter’s beliefs into words. Discussions will be open and hopeful. Excellent for introductions or any social function where it’s essential to be polite and positive. This aspect gives all one-on-one communication an optimistic spin, so if you’re trying to make amends or find something to talk about, Mercury/Jupiter can inject fresh perspective and ideas.

Continuing the open-minded trend, the Libra Sun trines Pallas Rx, at 18 degrees Aquarius. Odd patterns are given a social outlet. Something that’s too revolutionary for polite company has a better chance of being accepted. And, the Moon conjoins Pallas Rx, making this part of a Waxing trine between the Sun and Moon. This part of the lunar cycle makes integration easier. Events ease forward and understanding grows. Libra and Aquarius blend group dynamics with one-on-one connections.

Venus at 21 degrees Scorpio conjoins Juno and trines Chiron Rx in Pisces. Love and profound commitment merge, while Chiron adds a shot of empathy. Unconditional expressions of fidelity come from the acceptance of each other’s wounds. Pain is shared and makes the relationship stronger.

Mars in Capricorn makes a sextile to Neptune Rx in Pisces, at 9 degrees. This is an aspect of gentle manifestation, as Mars’ determined actions ground Neptune’s dreams. A vision can be solidified, as you work to integrate magic into the real world.
