Overview

September 15th to 19th brings a Boomerang Yod with Chiron Rx as the focal point. Chiron makes awkward inconjuncts to Venus and the North Node in Leo (what you want) and Jupiter in Libra (expansion), suggesting that positive developments will trigger painful vulnerabilities. The hopeful promise may trigger reminders of something uncomfortable. However, Venus will make a liberating trine to Uranus Rx in Aries on September 18th, so there will be some relief if you look past the moment. Consider the unusual option; this may not be everything you hoped for, but it will allow you to find some gold within the discomfort. The Virgo Sun opposes Chiron Rx (exact on September 19th). This is the boomerang part of the Yod- Chiron’s energy bounces back into Virgo (the solution). Easy enough, except that Chiron’s wounds are not neatly erased.

The September 19th/20th Virgo New Moon (depending on your time zone) will not be part of the Yod (Venus will have exited Leo a few hours before the Moon). But it will feature the Sun/Chiron opposition. So this Moon will present a “fix” – a solution after the Yod has passed. But here’s the kicker – it may involve an acceptance of what cannot be fixed. Practical applications of information can point you in the right direction, but making it all better is not the point. Practical acceptance of vulnerabilities and discomfort is the point. This Moon will be jolted by an inconjunct to Uranus Rx in Aries, so there will be an additional challenge of reacting quickly but not carelessly.

September 19th sees Venus’ Virgo ingress, which will apply the magnifying glass to relationships, finances, beauty and self-esteem issues. What’s desired will be refined and examined. Mercury in Virgo opposes Neptune Rx on the same day, and Mars in Virgo opposes Neptune on September 24th. So positive developments will need to be balanced with miscommunication and misguided actions, as Neptune blurs facts and intent.

September 22nd brings us to the turning point of the Fall Equinox, with the Sun’s Libra ingress. The balance between daylight and darkness reminds us that the very next step is a descent into longer nights. And so the wheel continues to turn.

The Sun’s applying conjunction to Vesta is notable for this Equinox. There will be increased focus on a Libra issue – imbalance, fairness, give and take, relating, projection. The focus could take the form of limits or devotion, and it will be given extra power by its proximity to the Fall Equinox (all Equinoxes and Solstices are times of intensified energy).

Aries

The Yod to Chiron in your hidden sector can press on a secret or unacknowledged relationship insecurity. An attraction can draw your attention to what you’d rather keep hidden, but Venus’ trine to Uranus in your sign urges you to take pride in what you have to show off. The New Moon in your sector of routine will present a path to improvement, but you’ll have to acknowledge that something’s actually amiss, first. Too, this Moon can remind you that a health or work issue cannot be ignored any longer. The inconjunct to Uranus Rx in your sign suggests abrupt errors or breakdowns – your immediate response will be demanded, but you’ll have adjust your impatience with the need to focus on the details. Take it one step at a time.

Venus’ entrance into your sector of routine can help with the above. Watch for assistance, favourable dynamics with co-workers/medical personnel or your increased awareness of the best prospects for self-care. However, Mercury and Mars’ opposition to Neptune Rx can trigger moments of muddy communication, overlooked details and weakened efforts. Go slow and pay attention to missing information/errors.

The Sun’s move into your partnership sector, and the building conjunction to Vesta, turns your focus to balance in a partnership. One issue in particular may demand your attention – one partner’s devotion may not match what the other can give.

Taurus

The Yod to Chiron in your social sector can pinpoint an area of public insecurity, as you find your accomplishments and domestic situation up for comparison. Too, your efforts to help another, or contribute to the group, could misfire, although your gut sense of a larger mission/change is accurate. Listen to your instincts. The New Moon in your sector of self-expression can urge you (perhaps impulsively) to go public with your creation/announcement/feelings for another, but this will also leave you feeling exposed. You do have something worth showing off, so you’ll have to decide if you’re ready to risk some discomfort (which may be part of the solution-the poison is part of the cure).

Venus’ move into your sector of self-expression will boost your confidence and power to attract, but Mercury and Mars’ opposition to Neptune Rx will have to be navigated carefully – what you say could be misunderstood by others, and what you do could have unanticipated public results. Or, your actions could simply fizzle out, as you discover that your romantic or creative goal was not realistic. Plan carefully, focus on what you would like others see/hear from you, then try to make your message as precise as possible. At the same, make allowances for what’s misunderstood (on their end and your end). If you’re celebrating, know that the temptation to overdo it will be strong.

The Sun’s move into your sector of routine, and the building conjunction to Vesta, will focus you on a specific health or work issue. Themes will include the balance of service – what you do for others versus how you’ve been looking after yourself. A new job or work situation could demand even more of your time and energy.

Gemini

The Yod to Chiron in your career sector can indicate a professional goal that’s out of reach, or that triggers disillusionment. Expectations of success can remind you of professional insecurities, although there is some encouragement from friends/the public (perhaps when you least expected it). The New Moon in your domestic sector is your anchor – rather than dwelling on what you’re afraid you can’t do, focus on your baseline support (family) or go back to the beginning and remind yourself of what’s working. An abrupt adjustment to home versus work priorities may be called for. It’s also possible that in order to succeed, you may need to admit to a flaw. This is not about pretending that everything is fine.

Venus’ move into your domestic sector can increase family support, or make you feel better about where you’re coming from and what you’re working with. However, Mars and Mercury’s oppositions to Neptune suggest that caution is needed with all business communication and actions/discussions around the home. Make sure your goals are aligned with reality. In some cases, you may need to let go of an ambition. Issues with relocation, buying/selling a home or a home business may also be involved.

The Sun’s move into your sector of self-expression, and the building conjunction to Vesta, can draw your attention to something you want very much. Children/pregnancy, a new attraction, creative work or your personal freedom and downtime may take on increased importance.

Cancer

The Yod to Chiron Rx in your sector of opportunities can raise questions about recent efforts to grow, expand, travel, learn or get published. Ideals could be tested and your future path may be unclear, as you doubt your ability (or desire) to go further. However, know that you are on the right path, regarding career and professional goals. The New Moon in your communication sector will present some clarifying facts  – an abrupt truth could open your eyes. You may be tempted to panic or fire off the first thoughts that come to mind (pressure on the job could demand an immediate response). However, your best bet is to breath, think and then proceed cautiously with what you know. Clear communication and assessment of all the facts will be essential.

Venus into your communication sector can boost your ability to say it/write it in a charming manner, but Mars and Mercury’s oppositions to Neptune can throw you off the path with ill-considered statements or inflated expectations. Once again, caution and precise words will be essential. Look for the proof behind the promise and be ready to back up your words with solid evidence. A new idea or solution has promise, but requires thorough investigation.

The Sun’s move into your domestic sector, and the building conjunction to Vesta, turn your attention to home and family. A domestic relationship, issue from the past or home business may claim all your attention. It could be time to pull back and devote yourself to your hearth.

Leo

The Yod to Chiron Rx in your sector of shared resources can open up a hidden insecurity, regarding debts, taxes, loans, your partner’s finances or physical/emotional intimacy. Expectations of more will have to be adjusted with deeper issues that you’d rather ignore, even as you’re encouraged to explore, expand and consider unusual options. Don’t lose sight of the bigger picture. The New Moon in your sector of personal resources can help you step back and make a realistic assessment of what’s really going on. This will involve your immediate, clear-eyed acceptance of what hurts. Someone else may not be able to give you what you want, and this may come as a shock. Or, your financial resources may need some fine-tuning. The New Moon can present an important opportunity to address financial and emotional difficulties, as long as you look at the facts about what you’re responsible for.

Venus into your sector of personal resources can give you more to work with (a hopeful opportunity for increased income or  reasons to feel better about yourself) but Mars and Mercury’s oppositions to Neptune Rx can make it tempting to avoid certain facts or lose track of what you’ve spent. Rather than giving in to undermining habits/addictions as a way of avoiding discomfort, focus on what you’re trying to avoid. All financial issues (discussions about salary, discussions about client payments, loans, etc) should be approached with extreme caution – make sure the details are in writing.

The Sun’s move into your communication sector, and the building conjunction with Vesta, hi-light an idea, hope or mode of communication. There may be something that you feel you must express. Publishing, public speaking or being heard by others may take on extreme importance. This is about more than just being in the spotlight – the idea that you’re attempting to communicate is sacred to you. An issue with siblings could also demand your complete attention.

Virgo

The Yod to Chiron Rx in your relationship sector suggests that heightened expectations may uncover a painful issue. What’s unspoken could be a trouble spot, although deeper changes/increased independence around intimacy and shared finances are on track .The New Moon in your sign gives you the power to make thing better. Yes, you can apply your knowledge and urge to fix. However, the “fix” may not be exactly what you had in mind. You may need to let go and allow the other person to feel what they feel, while addressing your own issues. Confronting your urge to control by having everything turn out “perfectly” can be an unpleasant shock. Too, there may be a need to accept a romantic situation as it is, or (if that doesn’t work for you) let it go. In general, this New Moon can trigger an uncomfortable but useful shot of awareness.

Venus into your sign can help with the above, as she amplifies your quiet charm and ability to attract. She can also make you feel better about being yourself, even if you’re not feeling perfect or prepared. However, Mars and Mercury’s oppositions to Neptune Rx can trigger relationship miscommunication and ill-timed actions. Before you offer advice or move forward to help, make sure the other person actually wants your help. Too, you could end up making a sacrifice for someone who simply doesn’t appreciate what you’re offering.

The Sun’s move into your sector of personal resources, and the building conjunction with Vesta, focuses you on a financial or security matter. Looking after yourself becomes a priority, and there may be a promising new source of income or increased determination to set boundaries.

Libra

The Yod to Chiron Rx (including the inconjunct to Jupiter in your sign) in your sector of routine can hi-light a health or work vulnerability. What’s broken or inadequate can be triggered by your enthusiasm and best intentions. Perhaps you’re pushing too hard, or attempting to impress someone. At the same time, your talent for cooperation will help one particular relationship progress smoothly (and you could have an ally). The New Moon in your hidden sector suggests that an unexpected reveal can uncover more about the above situation, while giving you access to a surprising solution or workaround. Accepting what’s not working won’t wrap everything up perfectly, but it will allow you to access unconventional treatments. Look behind the scenes for your answers.

Venus move into your hidden sector suggests there’s more untapped potential to what you can’t fully see or understand. But Mars and Mercury’s oppositions to Neptune Rx can lead to moments of confusion and misinformation. Watch for undermining habits that tempt you to give up or escape from the issue. What you’re denying can seriously throw you off track, so your full awareness is essential. Health, diet, exercise, work habits or obligations to others may be themes.

The Sun’s move into your sign, and the building conjunction to Vesta, spotlights a personal issue that’s sacred to you. It could involve a relationship, work or your public image, but there’s something that’s demanding your complete devotion. And it will be about you, rather than what you can do for someone else. Correcting an imbalance could involve setting personal limits and taking stock of who respects those limits versus who ignores them. You are your own sacred temple- are you going to allow just anyone to set foot in your space?

Scorpio

The Yod to Chiron Rx in your sector of self-expression can trigger an insecurity about creative work, public performance, a new attraction or children/pregnancy. Your desire for success and achievement may hi-light an area where you feel undeserving. But if you’ve been rolling with the changes in your daily routines/health/work environment, you’ll find that the basics click into place easily. The New Moon in your social sector can present an external prompt via a friend, group association or public event. This prompt can show you the truth about your insecurity, and (if necessary) what you can do to tighten up your performance, or let go of what you cannot control. In some cases, more recognition can paradoxically heighten your anxiety.

Venus’ move into your social sector favours improved public relations and allows you to connect with the best, most helpful people. But Mars and Mercury’s oppositions to Neptune Rx can lead to some disappointment, as what others say or do falls short of what you were hoping for. Too, your public actions/words can be open to misinterpretation. Tread carefully, and think before you speak.

The Sun’s move into your hidden sector, and the building conjunction with Vesta, turns your attention to a background or undeveloped potential. You may withdraw a bit, as you focus on what brings you internal sustenance – time to yourself can be essential for healing, recharging or reconnecting with an area of faith.

Sagittarius

The Yod to Chiron Rx in your domestic sector pits expansion and heightened ideals against wounds the from the past/childhood. You may be reaching further, only to find that old issues drag you back. Don’t allow this to cloud the joy you feel in a greater accomplishment or celebration, as you show off your talents and creations. The New Moon in your career sector points out that the past and future are always connected. You can’t have one without the other, which means a strategic view of where you’re going depends on dealing with what was. A surprising development around a new job, career path or correction to future goals will be connected to that old issue.

Venus’ move into your career sector boosts your professional image and relationship with management, while allowing you to connect with specific people who can help you get ahead. But Mars and Mercury’s oppositions to Neptune Rx urge caution – professional actions and communication can be blurred by old weaknesses, addictions or issues at home. It may be difficult to focus on your next step, or necessary tasks at work. Keep your eyes fixed on the immediate details, and don’t allow what was to blur your perceptions of what could be.

The Sun’s move into your social sector, and the building conjunction with Vesta, focuses you on a friendship, group association or your connection to the public. A specific cause or public ideal may grab your attention. Or, you may be confronted by restrictions in friendships, which will push you to sort out who is worthy of your time. Who do you want to dedicate your precious energy to? Not everyone deserves your devotion.

Capricorn

The Yod to Chiron Rx in your communication sector suggests good news or hopeful developments (in the areas of career or finances) can stir up some doubts. A big idea or promise may reveal a weakness in the plan, or in your understanding of the facts, although you will find that family/domestic progress is running smoothly. The New Moon in your opportunities sector offers a solution via travel, education, legal matters, publishing or exploration. The big idea is valid, but will need some adjustment via a close look at incoming information. Note that this information may cause friction with developments at home. The insecurity isn’t going to vanish, and may actually assist you if you tap into the energy of compassion and empathy, and then communicate that.

Venus’ move into your opportunities sector adds even more positive potential to unexplored areas. The urge to move forward will be strong, but Mars and Mercury’s oppositions to Neptune Rx ask you to keep your expectations in check. Remember that this is brand new territory, and some of you projections will not be accurate. Use extra caution when travelling, dealing with legal matters or publishing your words – have a backup plan.

The Sun’s move into your career sector and the building conjunction with Vesta make success and ambition you primary motivators. Career progress, or the development of a new business/future goal, will be themes. Too, you could encounter frustrating limits if your current work doesn’t make you feel passionate and motivated.

Aquarius

The Yod to Chiron Rx in your sector of personal resources can hi-light a financial or emotional insecurity. What you want, regarding a relationship or opportunity, might appear to exceed your budget. Take note of the unusual idea, flash of inspiration or unexpected contact – there’s help where you least expect it. The New Moon in your sector of shared resources suggests there may be a way around this, and it involves pooling your resources, or looking more closely at what you can pay off, share or invest. Watch for new developments involving debts, taxes, loans, your partner’s finances or physical/emotional intimacy. These developments may surprise you with their intensity  – you may have to respond quickly to a request or piece of information. But you actually have everything you need to find a solution, and Venus’ entrance into your shared resources sector can give you more to work with, or a financial/emotional gift.

Mars and Mercury’s oppositions to Neptune Rx can introduce moments of confusion and insecurity, where overspending, fears of loss or mixed messages undermine your attempts at improvement. Don’t shy away from the uncomfortable conversations – you need to understand what’s really going on, and intentions (yours and theirs) must be absoltuely clear. Use extra caution when dealing with financial documents and agreements.

The Sun’s move into your opportunities sector, and the building conjunction with Vesta, suggests an area of education, travel, a legal or publishing issue may gain importance. You’ll be focusing your attention on growing what has profound meaning to you. A belief or ideal may become your sacred cause.

Pisces

The Yod to Chiron Rx in your sign suggests a work, health, financial or relationship opportunity can leave you feeling unprepared or exposed. While developments may be positive, you’ll be grappling with a personal vulnerability. Imbalances around how much you give (or sacrifice) may be issues, but if you’re paying attention, you’ll see also lucrative opportunity to make some money, or boost your self-esteem. The New Moon in your partnership sector aims to correct these imbalances by alerting you to some relationship facts. An abrupt development may compel you to look closely at what you’re projecting onto a partner, or the quality of the relationship in general. It might be time for a no-nonsense conversation.

Venus’ move into your partnership sector can increase harmony and cooperation, but the oppositions from Mars and Mercury to Neptune Rx in your sign can make it difficult to accurately discern thoughts and intentions. One or both of you may be unclear about what the next step is. For the moment, suspend expectations and just go with what develops.

The Sun’s move into your sector of shared resources, and the building conjunction to Vesta, can hi-light extreme focus or limits around a financial or intimacy issue. Again, balance/imbalance comes up. You’ll be looking at how much you share/spend, who you allow close to you and what your boundaries are.

New Moon in Virgo: What’s Missing?

The September 19th (10:29 PM PDT) or September 20th (1:29 AM EDT) Virgo New Moon (27 degrees) features an opposition to Chiron Rx in Pisces. This will be a complicated Moon, defined by what’s missing or broken.

The wound will be there, emphasized by a new development that features a supposed solution. But when does a solution make it worse? When you struggle to fix something that can’t be fixed. When you struggle to fill a void that can’t be filled. Chiron’s wounds never vanish  – acceptance is the path to healing, and the weak spot remains.

This will be a struggle for Virgo, because only pure perfection is acceptable. And yet, the challenge of this Moon will be to accept that it’s not perfect. It’s not going to be neatly wrapped up. So you’ll have to make the best of things, while embracing the messy moment or itchy sense that you don’t have everything you need.

This Moon will follow a Yod. Here’s an excerpt from next week’s horoscopes:

“September 15th to 19th brings a Boomerang Yod with Chiron Rx as the focal point. Chiron makes awkward inconjuncts to Venus and the North Node in Leo (what you want) and Jupiter in Libra (expansion), suggesting that positive developments will trigger painful vulnerabilities. The hopeful promise may trigger reminders of something uncomfortable. The Virgo Sun opposes Chiron Rx (exact on September 19th). This is the boomerang part of the Yod- Chiron’s energy bounces back into Virgo (the solution). Easy enough, except that Chiron’s wounds are not neatly erased.

The September 19th/20th Virgo New Moon, will not be part of the Yod (Venus will have exited Leo a few hours before this Moon) but it will feature the Sun/Chiron opposition. So this Moon will present a “fix” – a solution after the Yod has passed.”

The New Moon’s solution won’t be straightforward. Maybe part of the fix will be the acceptance that you were wrong – you acknowledge the error, then move forward. Mercury (ruler of this Moon) will make an exact opposition to Neptune Rx in Pisces on September 19th, which will challenge hard logic. You’ll be left with doubt, and you’ll have no choice but to let go of a cherished certainty. In the process, your concept of what’s right will expand. Now, there’s a danger of blurred reality and sacrificing what’s correct for what’s easier. It will be tricky to find a balance between healing release and blind delusion. Tread carefully.

This Moon also makes an inconjunct to Uranus Rx in Aries. This will create urgency. There may be a panicky scramble to react ASAP and make it all better. But you won’t be able to make it all better. You’ll have to react, yes. But you’ll have to do so thoughtfully, without losing sight of the details. And, without straining to make it perfect.

As I said, it’s a complicated Moon. To sum up: identify the key problem, keep your eye on the details, then work to maintain a balance between doing the best you can and accepting that you can only do so much.
