December 26th, 2018: A Good Day to Share Your Message

  • Waning Trine between the Virgo Moon and Capricorn Sun (5 deg)

  • Mercury in Sagittarius sextile Black Moon Lilith in Aquarius (15 deg)

The Waning Trine integrates solutions (Virgo) with existing traditions and rules (Capricorn). The energy of the Waning Trine involves a smooth exchange of information. Great for delivering practical info, helpful suggestions or putting together an effective plan. The more proof you have (show your work) the more you’ll be able to manifest words into a reality that people will respect.

Virgo’s details do not always get the respect they deserve because they are viewed as inconsequential or annoying. But Capricorn is the sign of authority, so the little things are given more weight and focus today.

Mercury rules this Moon, and in Sagittarius it makes a supportive sextile to Black Moon Lilith. This tells us that the information in the Waning Trine can be used to give Lilith a voice. BML’s taboo/uncomfortable issues can be communicated – people will be open to hearing what they usually don’t want to accept.

The witch/other woman/agitator who blazes her own path and doesn’t care if she disrupts the party.

The Moon goes on to square Venus (relationships, money, self-esteem) and Ceres (mother’s nurturing) in obsessive Scorpio, suggesting that expressions of love and care may be suffocating, with strings attached. There could be attempts to overdo it, with fear of loss or demands for attention as the primary motivators.

The final square to Juno suggests tension between a relationship agreement versus one person’s drive for attention or appreciation. Leo extravagance versus Taurus stability.

Despite the tense aspects, Leo’s power and joy is the dominant energy. Family and relationship dynamics will come and go, but Leo reminds us that there is something to take pride in, even if it’s just the fact that you made it this far. Leo is the fire that will not be extinguished – the lust for life, the power to create, the passion for self-expression. December 24th, 2018: Reasons to Celebrate and Questions to Ask

Waning Inconjunct

The Waning Inconjunct presents an adjustment to the results of December 22nd’s Full Moon – despite the seriousness of Capricorn, Leo will stir things up with a reminder that there’s something to rejoice in or put the spotlight on. Playfulness and joy may not be energies that you feel like embracing, but the inconjunct always asks that you find a way to integrate incompatible issues.

On Christmas Eve, consider what you have to celebrate. Even if you’ve been weighed down by responsibilities or family issues, perhaps you need to take a break, take a mild risk or enjoy what you’ve accomplished this year. You’re not forgetting about the heavier stuff but you are taking pride in how you’ve held it together.

Mercury/Neptune

While the illusions and confusion of the Mercury/Neptune square may initially make it difficult to rejoice, remember that this is actually the conclusion of November 16th’s applying square (which faded when Mercury stationed Rx and backed away).

That initial whisper or promise was almost but not quite. You glimpsed something more (or something suspicious) as Neptune expanded Mercury in Sag’s big, buoyant words (which may have sounded too good to be true). And now you’ll see the truth- the square is a crisis but also a turning point. After the fog lifts there may be some disappointment, but you’ll know exactly what’s real and what isn’t.

Mercury in Sag can also be about words of faith which are undermined by Neptune’s doubts. Again, there will be a crisis but then you’ll come out the other side. Your faith may be tested and questions may be asked. Wouldn’t you like to know the answer?
