  • Sun in Libra opposite Chiron Rx in Aries (0 deg)

  • Mercury in Libra square Saturn in Capricorn (2 deg)

  • Mercury in Libra trine Mars in Aquarius (3 deg)

Sun/Chiron illuminates a sore spot or an area requiring unusual courage. You may be reluctant to step up because it’s socially unacceptable. You may want to avoid the issue, or the issue may be projected (it’s not really about you). But Chiron in Aries demands a confrontation. This will be a continuation of yesterday’s Mercury/Chiron opposition.

Speaking of Mercury, the square to Saturn suggests excruciating politeness. Mercury square Saturn can manifest as stiff, halting words. And when Libra is added there is a fear of saying something that’s not acceptable. This will probably be related to the Chiron opposition- if you do the wrong thing, it might hurt. There will be an imbalance between courage and social harmony. Saturn’s rules can’t be broken, but something still needs to be confronted. Libra is about taking that impossible mix and somehow finding the middle ground.

Not great for spontaneous ideas, although the trine to Mars can present an outlet, if you’re paying attention. Watch for a less obvious but still significant way to get your point across. Mars trine Mercury is about words with an easy flow of passion and force, although the shadow of Saturn will clamp down on some of that. Nonetheless, you can still speak out as long as certain rules are respected.

All of the above aspects are part of the September 24th Full Moon, and can be considered advance influences.

Overview

Full Moon

The September 24th Aries Full Moon conjoins Chiron Rx and squares Saturn/Vesta. Painful issues and restrictions will be part of this culmination, and the Libra Sun’s conjunction to Mercury suggests unbalanced conversations or enforced politeness.

However, the Sun/Mercury trine the Aquarius South Node with Mars and Black Moon Lilith. The Moon and Chiron trine the Leo North Node. So there’s energy and passion pushing you in the right direction (forward). Yes, you’ll encounter difficulties. But you’ll also be motivated to move on, stand up, stand out or fight for what’s special. Saturn’s limits may be the discipline you need to tackle that issue.

Mars’ third and final conjunction to the South Node on September 26th concludes an ongoing battle to step away from the past or activate a karmic resolution. Mars previously conjoined the South Node on June 8th and July 20th (when he was Rx).

The Full Moon’s influence will extend forward with the Libra’s Sun’s square to Saturn (September 25th) and trine to Mars and the South Node (September 27th).

Chiron Returns to Pisces
On September 25th Chiron Rx backs out of Aries into Pisces. On the day after the Full Moon, Chiron’s return suggests the illumination of that painful issue will force a second look at an old wound. There may be a retreat, but this can also be about recuperation, healing and a final release.

Pluto Direct

As Chiron steps back, Pluto steps forward. September 30th sees Pluto stationing direct in Capricorn. Pluto’s relentless excavation, destruction of old foundations and reveal of new authority/power continues. Change marches on and nothing remains stagnant.

Aries

The Full Moon in your sign can hi-light a vulnerability involving professional responsibility/limits or pressure to achieve. A turning point around your future goals or career will also involve a revealing and uncomfortable partnership conversation. This could be a cards-on-the-table moment where someone else clarifies what you didn’t want to discuss. A partnership commitment (professional or romantic) will be binding.

Pluto direct in your career sector signals the next chapter in the overhaul of your career, professional image and future goals – this Moon’s culmination will be connected to this next chapter.

Positive aspects to the Nodes, Mars and Black Moon Lilith indicate that this result will fire up your independence and individuality. You’ll see how you can stand out and where you may have to step away from the crowd. You may feel exposed and uneasy but also energized as you wrap up a difficult social issue. There’s still room for you to do things your way, even as you’re limited by certain rules. Mars’ final conjunction to the South Node in your social sector can indicate a goodbye (to a friend or group) or final push to initiate a social activity or connection. This will be connected to efforts or conflict from June 8th and July 20th, 2018.

As Chiron retreats into your hidden sector, you can temporarily step back from the vulnerabilities exposed by this Moon. The issue will be on the back burner, giving you time to process what’s happened and gather your strength for the next round (which will occur on Feb 18th, 2019 when Chiron returns to your sign).

Taurus

The Full Moon in your hidden sector illuminates an uncomfortable secret or issue that you’ve been ignoring. A practical conversation about work or health will be defined by external limits on how far you can go in the areas of travel, education, legal matters or publishing. Official rules may force you to confront what you’ve been denying. The Sun’s inconjunct to Uranus Rx in your sign suggests this will involve a sudden imbalance regarding workload or self-care – you may have to scramble to make adjustments.

Pluto direct in your sector of opportunities indicates that despite any barriers, a new path forward continues to open up. While you’ll be dealing with restrictions, the bigger picture insists that you are steadily moving into new territory.

Positive aspects to the Nodes, Mars and Black Moon Lilith say that these events are also part of your efforts to balance personal and professional. A career or future goal, or your professional image, can be energized as you realize a unique talent or see where your true place actually is. Mars’ final conjunction to the South Node in your career sector suggests the conclusion of a job search, efforts to promote yourself or exercise your ambition. Now you should see the results of what you’ve been striving for. This will be connected to ambitions from June 8th and July 20th, 2018.

Chiron’s return to your social sector suggests that the hidden issue revealed by the Full Moon will be dealt with in a public forum. What’s uncovered will reflect on your group connections or friendships- an awkward social issue is not quite finished, but the conclusion should happen on Feb 18th, 2019 when Chiron returns to your hidden sector.

Gemini

The Full Moon in your social sector hi-lights an uncomfortable issue with the group or a friendship. A social insecurity or embarrassment could be illuminated, along with background limits or fears on what you can publicly say. You may find that your public voice is greatly restricted.

Pluto direct in your sector of shared resources suggests that this Moon’s results will lead to a deeper shift involving shared finances, psychological issues or intimacy. Shared boundaries or responsibilities around what you owe will be the jumping-off point for the next chapter of a profound shift or ending – consider what’s being taken away.

Positive aspects to the Nodes, Mars and Black Moon Lilith encourage you to think big and think differently. Despite the limits or embarrassments you encounter, there’s another avenue opening up that allows you to take an ideal, future goal or journey to the next level. You’ll be encouraged to look beyond what you know and play with some truly controversial ideas. Mars’ final conjunction to the South Node in your opportunities sector indicates a breakthrough regarding travel, education, legal matters, publishing or a cause that you feel passionately about. Your efforts can finally propel you forward, and will be connected to issues from June 8th and July 20th, 2018.

Chiron’s return to your career sector can you being confronted (one last time) with a professional vulnerability or difficult issue with management. Weakness or lack of success involving respect may be revisited, but you can say goodbye to these issues as of Feb 18th, 2019 when Chiron permanently exits your career sector.

Cancer

The Full Moon in your career sector spotlights an insecurity or sore spot regarding success, ambition or the expression of authority. A job ending, new job or turning point in your career path will be defined by partnership limits or pressure from a competitor. While someone else may have more authority in this matter, make sure that you’re not projecting all your authority outwards – it may be time for you to take responsibility.

Pluto direct in your partnership sector suggests the results from this Full Moon will involve the next level of transformation that a relationship, or your approach to relationships, is going through. A partner may be in the midst of intense change, or your identity as a partner may be permanently transformed.

Positive aspects to the Nodes, Mars and Black Moon Lilith do suggest that despite any difficulties, this is your chance to wrap up an issue involving intimacy or shared finances. Trust, vulnerability and claiming your power and self-sufficiency are some of the possibilities that can come out of this. In some cases, intensified sexual dynamics may be a theme. Mars’ final conjunction to the South Node in your sector of shared resources suggests the end to a power struggle or hidden but intensive push that is not entirely within your control. At this point in time you may be permanently breaking away from old sexual, psycological or financial habits.  This will be connected to issues from June 8th and July 20th, 2018.

Chiron’s return to your sector of opportunities can temporarily take the pressure off a career sore spot as you revisit issues involving travel, education, legal matters, publishing or exploration. You may be reconsidering an ideal or area where you’ve been spreading your wings – perhaps there are a few more doubts (or lessons to learn) about where you’re going before you address certain career issues. Too, Chiron’s return can present an opportunity to finally address a fear of the unknown and by Feb 18th, 2019 you can move on.

Leo

The Full Moon in your opportunities sector can pinpoint a vulnerability or fear related to travel, education, legal matters, ideals or publishing. Practical limits or heavy work/health responsibilities will define how far you can go and this may involve a formal statement or document. What you want to fight for, or where you want to explore, could be curtailed.

Pluto direct in your sector of routine ties into the above with the next stage of a major health or work transformation. Old habits and routines are being uprooted, and recent delays in these areas will now end. It may be time to accept a whole new reality.

Positive aspects to the Nodes, Mars and Black Moon Lilith (including the North Node in your sign) are encouraging – this is your cue to step up, show off what you’ve got or explore a new area where your talents can shine. The limits you experience can push your focus in the right direction, and part of this will involve resolving a partnership issue. Mars’ final conjunction to the South Node in your relationship sector can mark the end of a relationship conflict, your dealings with a partner from the past or a final argument/action that pushes events across a threshold. This will be connected to issues from June 8th and July 20th, 2018.

Chiron’s return to your sector of shared resources suggests a step back into a private issue as a final opportunity to heal deeply buried wounds or address trust issues is presented. You may have to go deep one more time, but by Feb 18th, 2019 you can close the door on this for good.

Virgo

The Full Moon in your sector of shared resources can trigger intense feelings of vulnerability or deeply buried wounds involving intimacy, trust or dependency. Watch for an imbalance regarding self-esteem and looking after yourself versus giving away your power to someone else. You may feel restricted by what you can’t have or what you have to struggle for – discussions about finances or personal values can feel unfair.

Pluto direct in your sector of self-expression reactivates a relentless push to create, honour yourself and take your talents/contributions seriously. If something is being taken away or insecurities are being excavated, this may not feel like a good thing, but in reality you are being urged to focus your energy on what’s most important to you. If this involves a new attraction, you’ll be learning lessons about who really values you and how much you value yourself.

Positive aspects to the Nodes, Mars and Black Moon Lilith encourage you to go beyond your current reality. This will involve efforts around self-care, breaking old habits and updating your work/health routines. But the payoff will involve the manifestation of a dream or higher purpose – what you’re really meant to do but haven’t had the courage to pursue. Mars’ final conjunction to the South Node in your sector of routine can present a solution, diagnosis or correction that ultimately frees you. In some cases, efforts to make it better can finally pay off. This will be connected to issues from June 8th and July 20th, 2018.

Chiron’s return to your partnership sector will be about wrapping up old relationship wounds and vulnerabilities. You may be dealing with a partner’s pain, or your approach to healing others. In some cases, this could be about the pain or weakness that you project onto others – there’s still something that needs to be addressed here, but as of Feb 18th, 2019 you can walk away from this issue.

Libra

The Full Moon in your partnership sector can signify a painful relationship turning point. A partner’s vulnerability, or your own projected insecurities, may be hi-lighted by a conversation that encompasses domestic responsibilities or rules from your past. You may feel limited around what you can say, or pressured to say the correct/polite thing. All one-on-one interactions can be touchy during this Full Moon.

Pluto direct in your domestic sector once again accelerates the pace of transformation as structures from the past drop away. Old traditions, family history and habits will continue to be revealed and discarded, as something new emerges.

Positive aspects to the Nodes, Mars and Black Moon Lilith suggest that any difficult partnership issues can actually be a doorway to something better. Here is an opportunity for you to go public or shine in a unique way, even if you’re concluding a romantic or creative issue. Others may be impressed by what makes you feel conspicuous. Mars’ final conjunction to the South Node in your sector of self-expression suggests a wrap up regarding an attraction, creative work or efforts to be noticed. This time you could be successful, or move on to something better. This will be connected to issues from June 8th and July 20th, 2018.

Chiron’s return to your sector of routine asks you to once again confront a weakness or error involving health or work. There may be something that still requires correction or healing (and this can be an excellent opportunity for both). As of Feb 18th, 2019 Chiron will exit your sector of routine for good.

Scorpio

The Full Moon in your sector of routine can illuminate a physical wound, difficult health issue or area where you feel weak, unprepared or disorganized. Difficult conversations or realizations may be involved, including a secret or repressed issue. Too, you may be focusing so much on a flaw that you fail to see what you’ve accomplished.

Pluto direct in your communication sector triggers the next stage of intellectual evolution, the reveal of buried info or your emerging courage/passion to speak about what’s most essential to you.

Positive aspects to the Nodes, Mars and Black Moon Lilith suggest that, despite the restrictions and difficulties, work or routine issues can actually help you advance in your career or future plans. Part of this will involve actions that help you permanently step away from the past (especially family history) and this may involve embracing your status as an outsider in the family, or accepting the part of your self that those closest to you won’t accept. Mars’ final conjunction to the South Node will be part of this – watch for a conclusion to a relocation, renovation or family dispute. This will be connected to issues from June 8th and July 20th, 2018. Your next step is all about the future as you focus your ambition and pride in a professional area.

Chiron’s return to your sector of self-expression can see you confronting doubts about attractiveness, talent or the freedom to be yourself, one last time. But now you can focus on healing and acceptance of self, rather than what you feel you’re lacking. As of Feb 18th, 2019 Chiron will permanently exit this sector.

Sagittarius

The Full Moon in your sector of self-expression can trigger feelings of insecurity or being unwanted/unattractive. A tremendous focus on financial issues or self-esteem can hi-light something that you feel is lacking, or an area where you feel undeserving. It’s possible that you will not achieve a desired objective, or you may hear some disappointing news. Too, going public with something or putting yourself out there can hi-light your doubts, even if your efforts are successful.

Pluto direct in your sector of personal resources reactivates major changes regarding finances or security. There could be progress around a new source of income, change in income stream or new approach to basic needs.

Positive aspects to the Nodes, Mars and Black Moon Lilith suggest the Full Moon issues can help you define a specific idea or answer, and carry that forward. This could be something you feel passionately about, or perhaps it’s an ongoing argument. The subject matter will probably be somewhat controversial. Mars’ final conjunction to the South Node can represent the conclusion to the argument or your final push to get your point across -this could be about you finding your voice in the face of external judgement. This will be connected to issues from June 8th and July 20th, 2018.

Chiron’s return to your domestic sector signals a wrap up of family issues and wounds from the past. As you step back to do some healing and address family history, consider this as a chance to forgive, release and move on. Chiron will exit your domestic sector on Feb 18th, 2019.

Capricorn

The Full Moon in your domestic sector illuminates a family wound or pain from the past. This could be the result of an ongoing domestic conflict or delving into family history, and the square to Saturn/Vesta in your sign suggests you’ll feel a sense of responsibility. Too, you may be calling the shots and setting the terms, especially where future/career goals are concerned. A career result could trigger some sensitive family issues.

Fortunately, Pluto direct in your sign gives you a power surge as you move forward and enter the next stage of your ongoing transformation. Pluto can gift you with renewed passion and focus, even as the past drops away.

Positive aspects to the Nodes, Mars and Black Moon Lilith suggest powerful changes regarding finances and emotional resources. Issues in your personal and professional life can involve the activation of a financial ambition or your basic survival instinct. Part of this will require you to step away from old habits of mistrust or dwelling on the surface – you’re being asked to go deeper, open yourself up to someone or merge your resources for more success. Mars’ final conjunction to the South Node can signal a conclusion to financial or self-esteem issue as your efforts bring results. This will be connected to issues from June 8th and July 20th, 2018.

Chiron’s return to your communication sector can see you revisiting a painful conversation or having an opportunity to forgive, release or say goodbye. There may be something left unsaid, and now is your chance to achieve closure. Chiron will exit your communication sector on Feb 18th, 2019.

Aquarius

The Full Moon in your communication sector can reveal a painful conversation or answer. This final decision will be defined by hidden rules/fears, which can make it more difficult to deal with if you’re not fully aware of what’s going on. This could involve travel, education, legal matters or publishing.

Pluto direct in your hidden sector will be a subtle but relentless push forward – an ending or deep transformation continues to gain momentum.

Positive aspects to the North Node in your relationship sector and South Node/Mars/Black Moon Lilith in your sign suggest that despite any touchy news that comes your way, this can still be a very empowering Moon. Results can boost your determination to permanently step away from an aspect of your past while taking pride in who you are. This can involve moving away from being the outsider/outcast and taking pride in your relationships (or choosing to have a relationship). Mars’ final conjunction to the South Node can be a significant turning point fuelled by anger, ambition or courage. This will be connected to issues from June 8th and July 20th, 2018.

Chiron’s return to your sector of personal resources can help you come to terms with any leftover insecurities about money and self-esteem. You may be confronting a loss, or embracing a new approach to what makes you feel secure (including a new source of income). Chiron will exit your personal resources sector on Feb 18th, 2019.

Pisces

The Full Moon in your sector of personal resources suggests a result involving a financial or emotional shortfall. What you don’t have enough of, or what you feel is missing, will be defined by social rules or responsibilities. A private conversation or agreement may be part of this, including some necessary but burdensome financial documents.

Pluto direct in your social sector continues the transformation of your social image, friendships or connection to the public. Certain people may leave your life, or you could find that you’re drawn to new groups/associations. A major change in your public reputation could accelerate.

Positive aspects to the Nodes, Mars and Black Moon Lilith suggest that events from this Full Moon will encourage you to ground yourself in the real world. The limits you encounter are meant to draw your attention to what needs to be manifested in a work or health context. How can you improve your daily life? Mars’ final conjunction to the South Node in your hidden sector can represent an ending, as you detach from what’s no longer realistic. Too, you could find that certain efforts finally manifest physically. This will be connected to issues from June 8th and July 20th, 2018.

Chiro’s return to your sign is an opportunity for healing, forgiveness or exploration of a unique talent/opportunity. Sometimes Chiron is about what hurts, but it can also be about what’s unique and magnetizes others. Either way, there’s a second chance or unfinished issue.  Chiron will exit your sign on Feb 18th, 2019.

September 22nd, 2018: Make Room For Flaws

  • Waxing Inconjunct between the Aquarius Moon and Virgo Sun (29 deg)

  • Mercury in Libra opposite Chiron Rx in Aries (0 deg)

  • Mercury in Libra square Vesta in Capricorn (1 deg)

  • Mercury in Libra inconjunct Uranus Rx in Taurus (1 deg)

Waxing Inconjunct

The Waxing Inconjunct at the final degrees of Aquarius/Virgo brings you to a tipping point before the September 24th Aries Full Moon. There’s one more area of adjustment- something new and untested must be added to the existing details. It may be a complete oddity, but this weird little wrinkle somehow needs to be integrated with predictable, practical details.

The emphasis on final degrees (with the Sun’s move into Libra, and the Fall Equinox, later today) means this adjustment may be bigger than usual. You should feel a significant shift – a shifting of the gears.

Mercury

Mercury gets a bit of a workout with some fractious aspects. Harmonious communication will be difficult today as painful issues come up. The first impulse may be avoid what’s awkward, or even project the discomfort onto someone else. Consider the true source of what hurts and accept that (for today) the perfect thing to say doesn’t exist. You can’t gloss over the embarassment, and the square to Vesta suggests that rigid focus on socially acceptable words may actually make it worse. At the very least, you could find yourself fixating so strongly on saying the nice thing that you end up saying nothing.

Mercury/Uranus ensures that the unexpected will leak out, no matter how carefully you phrase things. You may discover something surprising and out it comes before you realize what’s happened. Or, someone may throw you a verbal curveball. This is ok – it was never going to come out neat and pretty, so just roll with it.

Note that Mercury rules the Virgo Sun (involved in the challenging inconjunct) so information and communication today will really test you. Both Libra and Virgo want things to be “just so” but it’s not happening. Discard expectations of perfection and make room for flaws, awkwardness and surprises.

Libra Season With Saturn and Chiron

The Sun enters Libra on September 22nd, and we see another Fall Equinox.

During this brief, balanced moment when the hours of daylight and darkness are equal, we look ahead to the cold winter months and take stock of what we’re harvesting and what will sustain us.

There is a time of reaping what you’ve sown, and the Sun’s square to Saturn (and Vesta) in Capricorn will clearly define what you have to work with. You may have less than usual or you may find that this second half of the year is quite unbalanced due to responsibilities. It may feel unfair, or you may dig in because you’re up to the task. Either way, it’s Saturn and he plays a key role in this Equinox (the square will be active as the Sun enters Libra, which means this energy will define the entire season).

What can you do with Saturn? You can’t argue with him and you can’t avoid what must be done. I mean, you can try (it’s your choice) but this will only increase the pressure. What you can do is step up and do the work. It’s harvest time baby, and for this year you may have to lift a heavier load or tighten your belt.

And of course, the Sun opposes Chiron Rx before the square to Saturn, so you’ll also be looking at one area where you feel vulnerable or uncomfortable. But it’s an opposition and Libra does involve a lot of projection, so the issue may not even be about you. But rest assured that Chiron’s wounds will also factor into this Equinox.

My post on the September 24th Full Moon in Aries really sums up the energies for this Libra season.

So. Probably not what you wanted to read, but it’s better to be prepared. Is there anything good for this Libra season? Something to take the edge off? Yes! There is a lovely conjunction with Ceres (see the aspect list below) which can hi-light a truly selfless day of nurturing and balanced give and take. You give, they give in return. The cycle feeds on itself and you have a blooming moment of unconditional care and affection that is mutual.

Here are the aspects the Sun in Libra will make:

  • Sept 23rd: opposition to Chiron Rx in Aries (0 deg)

  • Sept 24th: inconjunct to Uranus Rx in Taurus (1 deg)

  • Sept 25th: square to Saturn in Capricorn (2 deg)

  • Sept 25th: square Pallas in Capricorn (2 deg)

  • Sept 27th: trine the Aquarius South Node (4 deg)

  • Sept 27th: trine Mars in Aquarius (4 deg)

  • Sept 29th: trine Black Moon Lilith in Aquarius (5 deg)

  • Oct 7th: inconjunct Neptune Rx in Pisces (14 deg)

  • Oct 7th: conjunct Ceres (14 deg)

  • Oct 12th: square Pluto in Capricorn (18 deg)

  • Oct 22nd: inconjunct Chiron Rx in Pisces (28 deg)

Mercury’s Transit of Libra: Listen

  Delphin Enjolras

Delphin Enjolras

Mercury enters Libra on September 21st: communication and ideas are focused on agreements/disagreements, balances/imbalances and reflection. Harmony is important – words can be superficial or diplomatic in an effort to preserve the peace. Much is not said directly and it’s interesting to consider how conversational balances are achieved.

This can be the ultimate passive-aggressvie energy, as pretty phrases disguise ugly barbs. Or, it can be a relief to simply nod and smile and talk about nothing – sometimes you don’t want to discuss your inner pain. Everything that’s said is socially appropriate.

However, Mercury in Libra is a champion listener – this sign’s objective awareness means truly paying attention to what the other person is saying and reflecting what they’ve said back at them. This is done in a way that validates their ideas and encourages them to say more. It takes some skill (it’s not just about parroting their words).

Libra learns through comparison, so this brief transit can be an excellent opportunity to absorb what others tell you. Remember, Libra is always about the other and sometimes it’s better if you let them do the talking. Once Mercury enters Scorpio you can make use of the knowledge you’ve gained.

Having said this, Mercury in Libra is also very social – chatting, flirting, sprinkling compliments. The key is allowing the other person to have their say and pay close attention to how they respond to what you say. And, consider how their words reflect your energy.

Here are the aspects Mercury in Libra will make:

  • Sept 22nd: opposite Chiron Rx in Aries (0 deg)

  • Sept 22nd: inconjunct Uranus Rx in Taurus (1 deg)

  • Sept 22nd: square Vesta in Capricorn (1 deg)

  • Sept 23rd: square Saturn in Capricorn (2 deg)

  • Sept 23rd: trine Mars in Aquarius (3 deg)

  • Sept 24th: trine the Aquarius South Node (4 deg)

  • Sept 25th: trine Black Moon Lilith in Aquarius (5 deg)

  • Sept 27th: conjunct Ceres (9 deg)

  • Sept 30th: inconjunct Neptune Rx in Pisces (14 deg)

  • Oct 2nd: square Pluto in Capricorn (18 deg)

  • Oct 9th: inconjunct Chiron Rx in Pisces (29 deg)

  • Oct 9th: Scorpio ingress

September 21st, 2018: Easy Agreements

   Marinus van Reymerswaele

  • Virgo Sun trine Juno in Taurus (28 deg)

  • Mercury in Virgo trine Juno in Taurus (28 deg)

Coming off of yesterday’s Sun/Mercury conjunction, the trines to Juno suggest that the illumination of crucial details can solidify a partnership. This is excellent energy if you want two people on the same page – the facts will mesh naturally as both parties share their practical knowledge and solutions.

This is about the quiet, easy agreement – what makes sense, what’s been proven and what works for both people. It’s not romantic, but it is reliable.

Full Moon in Aries Conjunct Chiron Rx

Aries Full Moon.jpg

The September 24th Aries Full Moon (1 deg) is going to be a painful one. It conjoins Chiron Rx, so this ending/result will illuminate a sore spot, weakness or area where extra courage is needed.

The Moon will square Saturn conjunct Vesta in Capricorn (Saturn is limits and rules, Vesta is ultimate focus) so your attention will be forcibly drawn to where you’re constrained. The Libra Sun will conjoin Mercury (which will oppose this Moon) so there will also be a sense of limits around what can be said – there may be hard rules about what’s appropriate to discuss. Enforced politeness that will feel uncomfortable, because Aries hates being limited. But the Chiron/Saturn/Vesta square square means there will be a rule/responsibility you cannot avoid, no matter how awkward it feels.

Note that the Sun makes a sharp inconjunct to Uranus Rx in Taurus. It’s not a major aspect but it does suggest a jolt that will unbalance (Libra) you. Not everything about this Moon will go according to plan.

Good News

But there’s also good news. The Sun and Mercury trine Mars, the South Node and Black Moon Lilith in Aquarius. The Moon and Chiron trine the Leo North Node. Harmonious aspects to the Nodes suggest that whatever happens, you can and you will move forward. Mars will power up that final break from the past (especially as he’s making his third and final conjunction to the South Node on September 26th). Black Moon Lilith ensures that this will enable a harmonious integration of truly rebellious, out-there energy: what was cast out can be brought into the center. And aspects to the North Node mean you can transmute the pain, discomfort and courage into something that makes you proud.

The battle won’t be for nothing. The work will amount to something.

The day after this Full Moon, Chiron Rx returns to Pisces. This tells us that the painful culmination will stir up issues from the past (possibly from April 2018). You’ll be revisiting an issue of forgiveness and/or release that hasn’t quite been released. Chiron temporarily out of Aries (until February 2019) will give you some breathing room if you’ve found this new battle to be especially painful.

If you look at the chart at the top of this post you’ll see a blue rectangle. This is called a “Mystic Rectangle” which consists of two sextiles and two trines joining four planets (in this case, two of the points are Nodes). There are two oppositions inside the rectangle. The mix of harmonious and challenging aspects is supposed to be excellent for making constructive things happen (the challenge motivates you while the harmony helps you). So the potential is certainly ripe for taking the pain and turning it into something better (the Nodes are your keys for this).

But of course, it’s always your choice. And I’m not going to pretend that Chiron is a fluffy bunny. Best advice is, focus on that Leo North Node (pride, power, confidence, creativity)- what’s happening there in your chart? That’s your light at the end of this tunnel. The Moon/Chiron conjunction is your motivator, and the Leo North Node is what you’re reaching for. Mars, the South Node and BML are what you’re wrapping up which will propel you towards the North Node.

Go get ‘em.

September 20th, 2018: Sun Conjunct Mercury in Virgo

  • Sun in Virgo conjunct Mercury (28 deg)

This superior conjunction delivers a result in the context of the Sun/Mercury cycle. The previous conjunction (inferior) occured on August 8th at 16 deg Leo and was considered to be a new beginning (even though Mercury was Rx). This was the midpoint of Mercury’s Rx cycle.

Now as we arrive at the superior conjunction, there may be a culmination related to what began on August 8th. The Sun illuminates some crucial details or corrections – there will be no doubts about what’s presented. Virgo always relays the absolute facts.

This is an excellent influence if you have to communicate something practical, focus on some essential details or make a logical decision. Sun/Mercury is the ultimate clarifier, and the Sun adds power to whatever’s being said/written.
