  • Moon in Aquarius square Mercury in Scorpio (12 deg)

  • Moon in Aquarius conjunct Mars (13 deg)

  • Moon in Aquarius trine Ceres in Libra (19 deg)

The Moon’s square to Mercury can trigger tense realizations- detached energy will illuminate what’s obscured. Communication can feel uncomfortable, as deep observations clash with the need to remain distant. When the Moon conjoins Mars, watch for a spark that lights a rebellious or unusual urge. The pull of Scorpio’s depths will be forcefully denied. Now is not the time to look for intimacy – the mood is restless and a bit crazy.

If you’re aware of what’s happening, this energy can be channeled in a healthy way via the Moon’s trine to Ceres. Mutual freedom can be nurtured in a relationship. This is about giving the other person room to breath – stepping back and keeping your touch light can actually bring you closer.

Venus and Lilith

Another intense day, as Venus perfects the second of three squares with BML in Aquarius.

I wrote the following about the first square on September 16th:

Venus’ square to Lilith brings another crisis. Venus in Scorpio is dark and intense, but Scorpio’s shadows manifest in the familiar guise of female energy – Venus attracts and is about relationships. In Scorpio, she draws people in so she can get as close as possible. Lilith in Aquarius couldn’t care less about relationships. She’s out there on her own, blazing her own path, offending or unnerving most people. If she does attract someone they’re usually drawn to the truly atypical, independent lady who doesn’t want to attract them in the first place.

When these two square each other, you may experience the clash between merging and repulsing, or the desire for complete intimacy versus complete distance. These are two different types of female power – absorption of the partner’s resources (and in some cases, the partner) versus zero need for a partner.”

These issues will be revisited, but now that Venus is Rx there will be a review of why you want to merge, if merging is possible or if there are deeper reasons behind the tension between intimacy versus rebellion. Between staying hidden/secret versus putting it out there. Venus Rx in Scorpio can reveal the secrets/taboos that are driving BML’s anger or rejection.

Pluto and Ceres

Continuing today’s heavy theme, Pluto (ruler of Scorpio) perfects his square with the Great Mother (Ceres). A specific theme from the October 8th New Moon will reach an intense peak:

“Ceres is about the cycle of nurturing and loss – a square to Pluto is the crisis of loss (the threat of loss). So this new beginning will undoubtedly be intense, because it will involve an amplified desire to hang onto someone/something, due to the real or perceived threat of loss. In Libra, we see a distinct imbalance – one person does all the nurturing. This could be due to a partner’s illness (the imbalance cannot be avoided) or obsessive smothering of a desired object. Ceres square Pluto is the devouring Great Mother whose power lies in her ability to feed and starve. At the root of her power is her fear of losing what she loves.

These dynamics can play out in different ways. Because Libra is involved, there’s always projection to consider. Who really has the power? Under these aspects, the person who feels compelled to offer care may have an agenda.”

The issues of loss, control and what must be accepted in a difficult agreement will be emphasized. In the Ceres myth, she made a deal with Pluto that allowed Persephone (her daughter) to spend part of the year above ground with her (after Pluto abducted her). Not the perfect agreement (Ceres had to accept that Persephone was not with her all the time) and it required her acceptance of what she could not control. But she still got some of what she wanted.

Consider how this might apply to your life, and in the context of the New Moon.

The energy that ties these aspects together is Scorpio/Pluto. The raw truth behind the scenes and the confrontation with shadow issues (manipulation, control, fear of death/loss, the unspoken fight for survival). If it feels like there’s more at stake today, consider what you’re not openly acknowledging. And then, consider if what’s happening is really a fight for survival or if you’re operating on outdated programs. There’s probably something today that you can’t fully control and this fact may threaten you.

What’s the worst that could happen if you acknowledged what’s beyond your control?

October 16th, 2018: First Quarter Square

  • First Quarter Square between the Capricorn Moon and Libra Sun (23 deg)

  • Mercury in Scorpio sextile Vesta in Capricorn (9 deg)

Moving forward from the issues of loss, transformation and rebirth during the October 8th New Moon, the First Quarter Square challenges you to activate boundaries and responsibilities around these events.

It may be time to put your foot down or play by the rules- an exchange (Libra) will remain unbalanced until you do so. It may be easier to play nice or be passive, but the Capricorn Moon demands some adult energy. You can be fair but firm.

This square activates the other side of the parenting energy of the New Moon, which conjoined Ceres (mother’s nurturing). Capricorn is associated with the father, so any mother/child issues can be balanced out. Consider if you need to become the parent, or become your own parent. What do you need to define, shoulder or refuse? What are the parameters of the agreement that came about during the New Moon?

The new and uncomfortable responsibilities will push you forward.

Mercury/Vesta can help, with a nudge of quiet focus. Here is the serious conversation or piece of information – there’s something below the surface to consider (a secret or deep truth) and it’s asking for your complete attention. It should feel natural and easy to do this, although the gentleness of the sextile means it won’t demand that you look at it. But there could be something helpful that can show you the way through the First Quarter Square.

October 15th, 2018: More Than Just Sweet Words

   Gustave Moreau

  • Mercury conjunct Venus Rx in Scorpio (8 deg)

When Mercury unites with Venus in Scorpio, words are sweet and intense. Information is lucrative and research can uncover something deeply beneficial. Getting back in touch, or revisiting the issues, can tap into a pool of love, pleasure and resources.

Ask again and see what happens.

By itself, this energy brings purely positive developments. But there are a couple of extras.

Venus is Rx, which means what you’re discussing/learning may be a revision of what came before. There’s much more to uncover. Relationships, values and finances will offer up what was previously obscured.

Mercury has already squared BML and Venus Rx will do the same on October 17th. While there’s positive potential here, you can’t ignore the tension arising from an awareness of what’s outcast or unacceptable. This is not just about pretty words – what you’re currently discovering (the deeper layer) is being thrown into sharp relief by an outside agitation.

What taboos need to be confronted? What truths are emerging about challenging, rebellious and possibly ugly events? Positive can exist alongside frightening or uncomfortable. Don’t ignore the full scope of this contrast. I still see this as beneficial, but you have to look at the entire picture that’s emerging.

As a reminder, Black Moon Lilith is about the outcast woman, made more powerful because of her outsider status. She refuses to submit, and in Aquarius, she is truly the social rebel. BML represents women’s sexual power and the sides of a woman that many people do not want to accept (the witch, the mistress, the prostitute, the female demon, the sexual woman who is judged for being sexual, the truth-teller).

Full Moon in Taurus: The Surprise That’s Not Really A Surprise

Taurus Full Moon.jpg

The October 24th Full Moon (1 deg Taurus) conjoins Uranus Rx, so you know this ending/result is going to be a tad disruptive.

Uranus always brings a surprise or liberation, although it may be less so with a Full Moon because this is a result – it’s not coming out of nowhere. Moon/Uranus opposes Venus Rx in Scorpio (which conjoins the Sun) and Venus rules this Moon. So the surprise will involve relationships, money or values with an emphasis on what’s best for you – what contributes to or undermines your security.

Venus in Scorpio has already opposed Uranus once (September 12th, 2018) and now she’s Rx and doing it again. (although technically her second opposition won’t be exact until October 31st). So this really is a repeat – you’ve been here before. You’ve heard the call to liberation before.

It could be a disruptive ending or an unexpected (and beneficial) gift. You never know with Uranus, although the hints have been laid out since September 12th.

What’s more, this Full Moon/Venus/Uranus will square the South Node in Aquarius and North Node in Leo. A square to the Nodes means this is a pivotal issue. Again, you’ve been here before and had an opportunity to turn this corner. Venus previously squared the Nodes on September 16th, and while her next, exact square square won’t be until October 30th the energy is still part of this Full Moon. Something you wanted/loved either kept you from moving forward or you needed to manifest it so you could move forward. Think back to September. How did your values support or block your progress? Can you carry what you want forward, or would it be better to cut that cord?

South Node in Aquarius is the past – moving on from detachment, alienation, rebellion to the future (North Node) which is about finding your center in an area that makes you proud. The rulers of the Nodes (Sun and Uranus) oppose each other, which means this is a significant crossroads – you’re at the point where you can choose to step into the light (the place where you have pride) or you can stay on the edge and remain detached. North Node in Leo asks you to care about yourself, your talents and your audience. It’s not “cool” or laid back but sometimes you have to step up and put yourself out there.

But there is a note of stability, and that’s Saturn in Capricorn making a trine to the Moon and Uranus. You can integrate these changes if you follow the rules or apply the focus. Uranus and Saturn means new rules but the trine delivers them in a natural manner. The key is focus, focus, focus – you must apply some sort of discipline to what’s happening. Do your work.

Overview

Mercury, Venus and Lilith

Mercury and Venus Rx in Scorpio conjoin on October 15th, bringing clarity or key information that Venus Rx has uncovered. Reviews, delays or a closer look at relationships, money and values can be put into words, or trigger profound words. Here is the key conversation that reveals more.

While Mercury/Venus usually suggests romantic, sweet or beneficial words, both square Black Moon Lilith in Aquarius (on October 14th and 17th, respectively). This indicates tension between what’s emerging from beneath versus what’s agitating on the surface.

Black Moon Lilith in Aquarius is the disruptive outcast or shocking/uncomfortable expression of women’s sexual power. Her square to Venus is notable because this is the second of three squares – there’s an intense review of conflicting expressions of female energy. The first square happened on September 16th, so events from that date may come up again. This time, Venus’ Rx status suggests the crisis is prompting a deeper look at taboos and uncomfortable honesty around being a woman or dealing with gender dynamics.

Mercury in Scorpio squares Mars in Aquarius and trines Neptune Rx on October 19th – words will be edgy due to anger or a push for freedom. Due to the Fixed nature of these signs, communication will be quite unbending, with Scorpio’s energy adding a powerful impact. This could be a verbal sledgehammer, but the trine to Neptune offers an opportunity to listen, let go and rise above immediate conflicts. The square is felt more strongly than the trine, so the opportunity to sooth/release can be ignored if you focus solely on the conflict.

Pluto/Ceres
October 17th brings an exact square between Pluto in Capricorn and Ceres in Libra. Issues from the October 8th New Moon will be emphasized, specifically agreements involving a loss or difficult compromise. Nonetheless, Ceres is about rebirth, so there is always the promise of nurturing something new.

Aries

Mercury and Venus Rx in your sector of shared resources square BML, revealing intense conversations or discoveries about power/powerlessness, what’s socially unacceptable  and what’s really going on behind the scenes. An exchange (of money, sex or emotions) can reveal where you feel most vulnerable. However, intimate conversations/research can confirm something you sensed about a relationship, investment or profound desire.

Venus’ repeat square to BML will highlight the tension between social discord/being on the fringe versus deeper truths about your values and wants. Any public liberation or sense of restlessness with the status quo will trigger a crisis point regarding internal security or an intimate relationship. Can you be yourself in this intimate union? Too, you may encounter someone (a public figure) who embodies BML’s edgy power and makes you aware of what you really want.  These issues first came up around September 16th.

As Mercury squares Mars, you may run into public disagreements/tension with friends  – the facts will be quite private but the discord will out there for everyone to see. Too, this tension can motivate you to dig deeper. Mercury trine Neptune Rx suggests that despite public challenges, you can find release, forgiveness or peace behind the scenes. Tune into what you sense and allow the flow of intuition/private words to ease any fears.

Pluto in your career sector square Ceres carries forward issues from October 8th’s New Moon: a power imbalance in a relationship may reach a crisis point, and both of you will have to acknowledge the probability of change, along with the power balance associated with nurturing. What agreement have you made, and what’s been given up as part of this agreement?

Taurus

Mercury and Venus Rx in your partnership sector square BML, highlighting a relationship conversation with someone from the past, or a conversation about a previous issue. Your partner’s declaration of what they really want, or an intensified exchange of romantic words, will also reveal some tension regarding professional status or unusual/disruptive ambitions. One person may want something that’s at odds with the other’s desire for open self-expression.

Venus’ repeat square to BML can emphasis the dynamics between “acceptable” relationship behaviour versus “unacceptable” behaviour. However, these dynamics will force a deeper look at what’s really going on between you. In some cases, this can involve a woman working in hostile or unusual environment. Too, there can be issues with a love triangle or disruptive attraction. These issues first came up around September 16th.

As Mercury squares Mars, watch for arguments at work/with a competitor or tension between your professional ambitions versus what your partner wants. Mercury trine Neptune Rx offers some compromise if you’re able see the bigger picture and let go of the urge to stubbornly force the issue.

Pluto in your sector of opportunities square Ceres carries forward issues from October 8th’s New Moon: here is the tipping point regarding a health or service issue. An imbalance around care versus loss (and attempts to control/make it perfect) must be addressed, along with any food or self-care issues.

Gemini

Mercury and Venus Rx in your sector of routine can alert you to a key solution or offer of assistance regarding work or health. A deeper look at what needs to be corrected can reveal crucial information, but the squares to BML suggest this reveal may clash with unpalatable or controversial issues involving legal matters, education or publishing. Women’s issues/sexual dynamics in the workplace may be key.

Venus’ repeat square to BML specifically hilights a second look at what you need to do (or what you want to improve) versus a rebellious urge for freedom and open expression. Unexplored gender dynamics may clash with your daily routine/work environment, urging you to look more deeply for a solution or to reconsider what you want. These issues first came up around September 16th.

As Mercury squares Mars, you may be motivated by the desire to explore, travel or fight for a cause, but the motivation will trigger disagreements over what’s correct or helpful. Co-worker conversations can be tense. Nonetheless, Mercury’s trine to Neptune Rx does suggest that career ideals or issues with management can blend smoothly with your  attention to detail or work methodologies.  You can move one step closer to making a professional dream a reality.

Pluto in your sector of shared resources square Ceres carries forward issues from October 8th’s New Moon:watch for a crisis or turning point regarding intimacy, attraction or finances. There will be a powerful desire to get more of what you want, but also controlling behaviour based on your recognition that something is ending. You can turn a corner here and accept that much is out of your control, thereby freeing yourself up to enjoy the birth of something new (a creative work, new romance, increase in self-confidence). Issues with children can be especially prominent.

Cancer

Mercury and Venus Rx in your sector of self-expression can see you reconnecting with an attraction/flirtation from the past, or looking closely at the details of a current attraction. Words/analysis can help you understand what it is you really want. Creatively, this energy is fantastic for breaking through writer’s block or expressing deeply passionate ideas that reveal your talents. The squares to BML can power up darker issues of obsession, lust or the desire for vengeance. Handle this one with care – used correctly, you can make a powerful statement.

Venus’ repeat square to BML can illuminate sexual dynamics that you’ve been ignoring, or hidden issues of anger related to the denial of your self-expression. A re-evaluation of what you want, and who appreciates you, can stir up resentment or even rage, plus the desire to express what really matters on a deeper level. These issues first came up around September 16th.

As Mercury squares Mars, powerful, passionate words will be driven by buried motivations. The urge to control what cannot be controlled may be an issue, and what you say to get attention/appreciation will have an edge. Mercury’s trine to Neptune Rx can be a creative release if you look beyond what you want and consider a larger audience or bigger issues. Transcending issues of dominance or a craving for power can allow you to express yourself in a truly beautiful way.

Pluto in your partnership square Ceres carries forward issues from October 8th’s New Moon: issues around loss, control and rebirth in domestic partnership will reach a crisis point. A partner’s control, or powerful changes in your relationship, suggest a new chapter at home. But first, you’ll be confronting parental issues or the reluctance to accept what’s ending. Some of this may be based in childhood fears  – try to keep it in the present.

Leo

Mercury/Venus Rx in your domestic sector suggest discussing a relationship or financial issue from the past, or revisiting a domestic relationship issue. A closer look at family dynamics and patterns related to self-esteem, love and happiness can bring a beneficial realization, but the squares to BML suggest conflicts with a partner (regarding power and independence) may be triggered.

Venus’ repeat square to BML triggers a review of partnership dynamics, especially regarding what’s acceptable/not acceptable in your family. A partner’s behaviour can push you to look more closely at what really makes you happy at a core level. In some cases, this can be about you coming to terms with who you are at home versus who you are as a partner. These issues first came up around September 16th.

As Mercury goes on to square Mars, relationship discussions can become heated, with a partner’s actions challenging you to speak your truth. Too, you can feel pressured, pushed and even attacked. But Mercury’s trine to Neptune Rx urges you to tune into the deeper dynamics between you and another. By listening and letting go of old habits (financial and emotional) you can tap into some soothing energy. On another level, Mercury/Neptune allows you to do some significant inner work.

Pluto in your sector of routine square Ceres carries forward issues from October 8th’s New Moon: a health or work issue will reach a crisis point, as nurturing words or promises are revealed to be inappropriate or ineffective. Too, a promise to look after someone may have significant strings attached, and you may be challenged to examine the power imbalance that arises. In some cases, you may turn a corner on your own self-care.

Virgo

Mercury/Venus Rx in your communication sector can see you investigating  a relationship or financial issue. What you uncover (through contemplation or research) can be very beneficial. Too, you could hear from old flame, or find yourself thinking about a past love. Consider why this review is happening- it probably involves a revaluation of what you have right now versus what you had (or thought you wanted). Your words/ideas can be quite compelling, as you tap into a core truth that triggers passionate responses from others. However, the squares to BML suggest tension regarding the dynamics of service/appreciation versus what you want. You may also uncover an error or weakness that triggers some obsessive thoughts.

Venus’ repeat square to BML will specifically hi-light intensified thoughts about self-esteem and the freedom to be yourself in your daily life. There may be an area where you need to liberate yourself or address destructive/challenging behaviour (workplace sexual dynamics could be an issue) and this will come to light via self-examination. These issues first came up around September 16th.

As Mercury squares Mars, watch for an argument or motivating challenge to improve, deliver more or do it differently. Your attempts to correct/get it done will require an adjustment in certain ideas about what’s right. Mercury’s trine to Neptune Rx does suggest that there is room for compromise – open your mind to what’s possible with a partner. This will involve releasing old patterns of mistrust, or perhaps releasing a specific approach to partnering.

Pluto in your sector of self-expression square Ceres carries forward issues from October 8th’s New Moon: here is the peak of a situation involving children, mothering, a creative work or self-expression. Insecurity/fear of loss has intensified events to the point where you must now decide if you can let go/should let go. Know that a rebirth is part of this cycle, but you’ll have to be willing to change the way you honour yourself and your ability to create/attract/nurture. Financial or emotional growth are possibilities after the crisis.

Libra

Mercury and Venus Rx in your sector of personal resources suggest that a second look at a source of income, emotional issue or personal value can reveal deeper resources. There may be a second chance to earn or get what you want. Too, there could be a lucrative conversation that uncovers more/better. But the squares to BML can add an edge to the proceedings, as what you want is sharpened by the tension of radical self-expression. Putting yourself out there (romantically or creatively) in a way that’s not typically acceptable may be rooted in anger, intensified desire or desperation.

Venus’ repeat square to BML reactivates issues around being wanted/appreciated versus your personal values and security. This may be an area where you take it too far. Or, a new attraction/creative effort may challenge your sense of well-being, pushing you to question what you’re really worth. These issues first came up around September 16th.

As Mercury squares Mars, discussions about money or emotional must-haves can be tense, driven by your pursuit of something or someone important. You’ll definitely be motivated to get what you want, but the trine between Mercury and Neptune Rx may offer a better solution- rather than trying to force the issue, allow yourself to accept a solution that involves compassion, release and healing. These things will be enabled by your ability to let go of certain undermining habits.

Pluto in your domestic sector square Ceres in your sign carries forward issues from October 8th’s New Moon: in some way, you’ll be channeling the Great Mother as you confront an issue of nurturing along with a reluctance to let go. Family issues can emerge, triggering deep fears of loss, but also an agreement that involves a permanent ending (and new beginning) on the domestic front. These issues can involve you as a parent (even if you have no children), or your parents.

Scorpio

Mercury and Venus Rx in your sign can pinpoint a key conversation or realization about what you want, your public identity or self-esteem/internal resources. You may speak a profound truth regarding money, a relationship or physical appearance. The squares to BML suggest some conflict between who you are in your private versus public life, and perhaps a desire to speak openly about these things.

Venus’ repeat square to BML once again triggers an issue around being an outcast/unaccepted in your family or feeling the tension between private desires versus public displays. Female strength, power and sexuality, expressed in a discordant but honest form, may be themes. This could be a “coming out” for you. These issues first came up around September 16th.

As Mercury squares Mars, watch for family disagreements or strong public statements driven by private anger/initiative. There will be a lot of force behind your words, and perhaps an unwillingness to consider other options. Mercury’s trine to Neptune Rx is a suggestion that creativity, idealism and belief in yourself can take the edge off some of what you say.

Pluto in your communication sector square Ceres carries forward issues from October 8th’s New Moon: potent conversations or discoveries will be driven by a background loss/fear of loss. The mix of endings/new beginnings can open your eyes to what you cannot control and what may need to be sacrificed. This could be a deep moment of understanding, as long as you’re willing to release controlling tendencies. Too, there could be a crucial agreement (with hidden aspects) that involves some tough compromises. Carefully consider what you’re willing to accept, because there will be no going back.

Sagittarius

Mercury and Venus Rx in your hidden sector suggest a moment of deep intuition and clarity regarding a hidden attraction/want or unacknowledged desire regarding your core values. Pay attention to what’s hinted at or what you suspect. The square to BML indicates controversial or edgy communication/realizations will be connected to what you realize on a deeper level. The tension between what’s being openly discussed versus what’s going on in the background can open your eyes to a certain truth.

Venus’ repeat square to BML reactivates issues around an affair, being the “other woman” or looking at what you’ve been holding back. A second dive into contentious issues (that first came to light around September 16th) can be triggered by vocalizing forbidden truths.

As Mercury squares Mars, an argument, verbal challenge or passionate drive to get your point across will stir up tense realizations in the background. However, you may not be ready to openly speak of this just yet. Allow yourself to process what’s happening before you speak out – Mercury’s trine to Neptune Rx can help if you’re ready to let go/forgive old family disappointments or weaknesses. Something from your past can be worked through in private (or in your own head).

Pluto in your sector of personal resources square Ceres carries forward issues from October 8th’s New Moon: profound transformations regarding your security base, personal values or financial status can hi-light a social issue where you want to help/save another, or in some way  be a “mother” to the group. But the crisis of the square indicates that you may have to accept a loss (involving security) which will be essential to your transformation. This could involve a change in your public image or friendships.

Capricorn

Mercury/Venus Rx in your social sector suggests a discussion with a key friend or attraction from the past. Too, there could be an announcement or realization triggered by the review of your public image, or another chance to take advantage of a social opportunity. Your public words will have added impact, and the square to BML adds an edge – there may be some anger or controversy (driven by your insecurity) but this could actually add to your magnetism.

Venus’ repeat square to BML hi-lights the friction between your social image/social connections versus what you have to do (or want to do) in order to get what you need. Issues around survival, money and self-esteem will be pronounced and could reveal some key people who truly accept you (and those who don’t). These issues first came up around September 16th.

As Mercury squares Mars, watch for public arguments or passionate discussions with friends. Anger or ambition will push you to speak out and your words could be quite powerful. However, Mercury’s trine to Neptune Rx encourages you to consider a gentler approach – verbal force may be necessary, but keep your eye on areas where forgiveness and empathy are possible.

Pluto in your sign square Ceres carries forward issues from October 8th’s New Moon: a new career chapter or new approach to authority can be marked by tension and power struggles. You may be dealing with fears of losing something (your power?) but at the same time an agreement is being made that is essential for this next chapter. You are witnessing the birth of a new career goal, but it won’t be without tension. Nurturing others, children, women’s issues or food may be themes.

Aquarius

Mercury/Venus Rx in your career sector suggests a repeat issue involving a work relationship, your professional image or a career opportunity will gain clarity. There could be a key conversation that uncovers more, or you could put something into words that reveals the essence of who you really are. The square to BML in your sign will also reveal tension between what’s emerging in your personal life versus your professional life. There could be issues with sexual expression, or the freedom to be yourself versus what’s acceptable.

Venus’ repeat square to BML indicates that the above tension will be centred around a deeper look at your professional values, and the importance of status versus honesty. You may be rethinking certain opportunities, or you might be running up against a situation that impacts your reputation. Consider what’s most important to you and how what’s being revealed is accepted or rejected by others. These issues first came up around September 16th.

As Mercury squares Mars in your sign, you’ll be speaking out with anger, passion or ambition. Professional conversations or goals will be fired up by your desire to break away from the past, but know that your reputation will also be on the line. Mercury’s trine to Neptune Rx can offer an outlet if you go with the current flow – accept that certain aspects of your security and financial situation are gradually changing, and something new is emerging. If you focus on this and put it into words, you’ll deliver your message with power, persuasion and smoothness.

Pluto in your hidden sector square Ceres carries forward issues from October 8th’s New Moon: a background transformation involving a loss or ending is triggering the rebirth of a new opportunity. Travel, education, legal matters or publishing are areas where you can nurture new possibilities, but first you’ll have to confront the fear that’s in the shadows. What must be released or accepted in order for this to happen? In some cases, there could be an agreement with hidden aspects.

Pisces

Mercury/Venus Rx in your opportunities sector suggests a second look at something intriguing in the areas of long-distance romance, travel, education, legal matters or publishing. A review or delay can uncover more information and more possibilities for you. The square to BML will trigger hidden issues of rebellion, taboos or socially unacceptable behaviour. Don’t deny what’s hidden.

Venus’ repeat square to BML indicates that you’ll be looking more closely at what’s held back versus what’s public or emerging. Issues of justice or morality (especially in a legal context) will push you to uncover secrets or ignored aspects of gender, women’s power, sexuality or women’s rage. What’s “right” is in the process of being transformed. These issues first came up around September 16th.

As Mercury squares Mars, watch for volatile statements, conversations or announcements  – the unexpected (in the guise of anger or disruption) can change your plans or push you to speak out (perhaps in an official capacity). Mercury’s trine to Neptune Rx in your sign suggests that you’ve got your finger on the pulse of the moment, and you can put it into words. You have the power to reach a wide audience and sway others with your convictions if you’re open to what’s possible while not trying to force the issue. Allow your words to work their magic and let events to take their own course.

Pluto in your social sector square Ceres carries forward issues from October 8th’s New Moon: a change/ending in a friendship, group or your social status will trigger a deeper ending/new beginning. Finances, intimacy or a new psychological chapter are possible areas of transformation, and this could include processing trauma and achieving a breakthrough.

  • Mercury in Scorpio square Black Moon Lilith in Aquarius (7 deg)

  • Venus Rx in Scorpio sextile Vesta in Capricorn (9 deg)

Mercury/Black Moon Lilith

Mercury/BML suggests Scorpio’s secrets or taboo truths conflict with BML in Aquarius’ radical lady. While Lilith herself is about the taboo (and unpalatable truths), in this case, what’s spoken or understood about her will be discordant. Perhaps too much is revealed about a Lilith issue. Or, perhaps a BML-type person speaks her truth and it comes across as too heavy or too horrific.

Yes, BML’s energy can naturally be “too much” under the best of circumstances, but when she makes a hard aspect to Mercury, her message is extra challenging. Keep this in mind if you’re thinking of communicating things that others don’t want to hear – this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t, only that you should be aware of today’s energies.

Venus/Vesta

Venus Rx in harmony with Vesta might smooth things out a bit, or least remind you of what’s most important.

An area of Venus- themed (money, relationships, self-esteem) investigation or review will be enhanced by Vesta’s strict (Capricorn) focus. You can zero in what really matters while tuning out the white noise of social discord or disapproving chatter. Venus’ energy is elevated and Scorpio’s darkness becomes the sacrament – Vesta (the temple) is about purity of intent, so you can consider what boundaries or rules (Capricorn) should be applied to what matters most. Do you treat yourself and your resources (financial and emotional) like they are sacred? Only a select few are allowed to enter the temple.

Remember that when Scorpio’s energy is used correctly, it too is quite selective. Only those who respect the power and enhance chances of survival/evolution are allowed to get close.

  • Sagittarius Moon sextile Mars in Aquarius (11 deg)

  • Sagittarius Moon square Neptune Rx in Pisces (14 deg)

  • Waxing Sextile between the Sagittarius Moon and Libra Sun (20 deg)

  • Moon Void of Course in Sagittarius at 8:56 PM EDT

  • Moon enters Capricorn (and Void ends) on Oct 14th at 3:16 PM EDT

The Sag Moon brings buoyant, hopeful energy that’s enhanced by its aspect to Mars (actions) – you may be ready for a bit of an adventure, or at least, ready to step in a new direction. Rules and boundaries may feel a bit oppressive, especially when the Moon squares Neptune. Here is the big dream and reality could be left behind.

Sag is the sign of the explorer and Neptune dissolves boundaries, so the mood will be impractical and full of hope. This is ok as long as you’re aware that what you’re wishing for may not manifest exactly as you envisioned.

On the plus side, this leads you to the Waxing Sextile, which is a time of potential. You can move ahead into new territory as long as your ideals (Sagittarius) are balanced (Libra). The Neptune square may be just what you need to open your eyes to this new potential (as long as you don’t take it too far).

This Waxing Sexitle is social and enthusiastic.

As the Moon goes Void (until October 14th) allow yourself to float and rest with the leap that you’ve just taken. Don’t push it any further, for now.
