Away: September 11th to 22nd

I’ll be away from September 11th to the 22nd. I won’t be responding to emails, and comments on the blog will be held in moderation until I return. Posts have been written ahead of time and will be published automatically.

If you purchase a reading, I’ll book you in when I return (consults will be booked in the order payment is received). Purchases of the Saturn/Pluto ebook will not be affected because they are downloaded automatically on receipt of payment. However, in the unlikely event that you don’t receive your download (check your spam folder first), please email me and I’ll look into it as soon as I return.

Thanks for your patience.

September 2nd, 2016: Pluto Opposes Vesta, Eclipse Follow-Up

Pluto Rx in Capricorn opposes Vesta, at 15 degrees Cancer. The focus on home, family, parenting or protection is challenged. The threat of loss/insecurity is amplified by something beyond your control, resulting in obsession. Devotion becomes fixation, and nurturing is used to manipulate. Consider if the threat is actually a projected issue, and remember that refusal to release is Pluto’s cue to release something for you.

Two aspects from yesterday’s eclipse become exact:

  • Mercury Rx conjoins Jupiter, at 28 degrees Virgo. Going back/revising/correcting is the best thing you can do. Sorting through the excess (Jupiter) will allow you to zero in on the perfect ____.
  • The Sun opposes Neptune Rx in Pisces, at 10 degrees. Release and make room. Neptune dissolves the trap of guilt. Or, the illusion is illuminated. This is a culmination – if you can’t fix it or make it better, just leave it. Remember that the Solar Eclipse has defined a new reality. Are you on board?

It’s significant that rulers of both the transiting Nodes are activated. Neptune as ruler of the Pisces South Node, and Mercury as ruler of the Virgo North Node, are intensified due to their Rx status. This means the time is ripe to upgrade towards the future. Now more than ever, “making it better” (the Virgo mantra) depends on connecting the dots, getting specific, and turning away from what’s been draining you. Develop the dream into reality, or say goodbye.

Zodiac Signs That Are Resistant to Marriage

Excerpt from my latest Sasstrology article:

Marriage is not exclusive to a few signs. All signs have the potential to make a traditional commitment, but some are less inclined than others. For a few signs, the idea of promising themselves to one person for the rest of their lives is not appealing. In general, they shrink from the perfect storm of tradition, fidelity, limits and compromise. Of course, the rest of the natal chart always tells the full story. A person with their Sun in one the signs below may have a packed 7th House with Saturn aspects all over the place, encouraging them to settle down.”

Ceres stations Rx, at 5 degrees Taurus. As I wrote in this post:

“Ceres’ Rx will be a review of what’s being nurtured. Delays may be related to fears of loss…Fears can delay growth, but delays can ensure that you’re nurturing something with real potential.”

If you’re worried that you can’t sustain this new area of growth, don’t push it. Maybe you need to intensify your efforts elsewhere. You’re not breaking new ground at this point. If you feel resistance to your efforts, back off. If the situation responds to concentrated care of a previous or existing area, go with that. Intensified survival fears (poverty, emotional starvation, lack of self-worth) are a sign that something needs to be resolved before your crops can flourish.

Mercury Retrograde in Virgo: Selecting The Best

Mercury stations retrograde in Virgo on August 30th, at 29 degrees. As mentioned in this post, Mercury’s Rx will be connected to Venus’ Libra ingress. The Mercury/Venus conjunction in Virgo on August 29th will weave positive new threads into the story. You may hear what you want to hear, or learn something valuable. Helpful suggestions can be delivered with love and the best intentions. But Mercury pausing at the last degree of Virgo suggests gathering all the information and still needing to review the facts. There will be missed details, or corrections that were overlooked.

The story will not be complete.

A notable point in this Mercury Rx is its conjunction with Jupiter (28 degrees) on September 2nd. This will be the second of two conjunctions .The first occurred on August 22nd, along with the Sun’s Virgo ingress. This entire Virgo season has a sub-theme of doing more with what you know, and maximizing the information you’re gathering. Meaning, you’re not just frantically amassing as much intel as you can. You’re using facts (Mercury) and intuition (Jupiter) to identify what will work best for you. And, you’re looking for the truth. The first Mercury/Jupiter conjunction was about more details. The second conjunction (with Mercury Rx) will be about sifting through the excess and selecting the smartest, healthiest, most effective bits. What makes sense. There’s no way you’re going to settle for anything less than the best. Mercury Rx won’t allow it.

Mercury will station direct on September 22nd (at 14 degrees). On September 20th, Mercury Rx will trine Pluto Rx in Capricorn, and on September 23rd Mercury direct will trine Pluto Rx in Capricorn (at 14 degrees). September 20th to 23rd will feature a compulsive focus on one, particular detail. Pluto will intensify Mercury’s analysis, and the change from Rx to direct suggests an answer/breakthrough which arises from going over and over and over (and over) one issue. Virgo’s obsessive attention to what’s broken can pay big dividends. Note that Venus will enter Scorpio (ruled by Pluto) on September 23rd, so there’s your conclusion to the story that began on August 29th. The deeper look at the absolute truth (involving money, relationships or values) may or may not reveal what you hoped for, but you’ll know exactly what you have to work with.

As always with Mercury Rx, make sure you have a backup plan. Some answers will be delayed, some fine print will be overlooked. There will be a need for corrections. You may have to prove your point and ask the same question, more than once. The ultimate goal is to get it right, and this probably won’t happen the first time. So dig in and be prepared to work.
