February 20th, 2019: Uranus Opposite Pallas Rx in Libra

  • Uranus in Aries opposite Pallas Rx in Libra (29 deg)

Uranus makes the second of two oppositions to Pallas in Libra. The first occurred on February 7th:

“Uranus…opposite Pallas does suggest that liberating moves will trigger some imbalances. Pallas in Libra’s polite social strategies will be upended, or even abruptly abandoned.

Note that this opposition (a culmination) takes places at 29 degrees (the final degree). This strongly points to the end of a social issue – you may be liberated or surprised, but either way there’s no going back.”

With today’s repeat of this aspect (due to Pallas’ Rx) you’re not exactly going back, but you are reviewing the ending. Does someone need an extra push? Do you need to reconsider your finishing strategy? Sometimes a Uranus aspect occurs twice because someone is unwilling to accept change.

Pallas Rx indicates that certain aspects of a social/relationship situation are not quite complete. There may be a couple of loose ends to ties up, or a slightly different angle is needed as you approach (or say goodbye to) someone.

Consider this as a chance to get it right. But be prepared for someone (even you) to feel that what’s happening is not nice. Libra does not enjoy being jolted and Uranus in Aries has no patience for the social game.

February 19th, 2019: Mercury Conjunct Neptune

Henry Ossawa Tanner

  • Mercury in Pisces conjunct Neptune (15 deg)

  • Mercury in Pisces sextile Saturn in Capricorn (16 deg)

Mercury/Neptune is the first of three conjunctions, due to Mercury’s upcoming Rx (see this post for dates and degrees).

Neptune can expand Mercury’s information (more is possible) but it can also undermine and blur the facts. You may “see” something extra or think you have the whole story, but know that what you learn today is only the beginning. You’ll be revisiting this issue until April – facts will morph and what’s true or false will not be clear.

For now, remain open to what you learn. It’s important, even if you don’t know if it’s real. Consider it to be the first layer of a more complex issue. And, know that Mercury’s activation of the Saturn/Neptune sextile means that a sacrifice will be put into words. Not a huge sacrifice, mind you. But an acceptance of a certain reality (Saturn) that involves quiet understanding and release.

If you can maintain your focus (Saturn) on the higher goal (what’s most important, what you’re trying to accomplish) rather than trying to define or understand everything right away, you’ll find this influence easier to deal with. Allow the shifting details to flow around you and keep your eye on the end game. Accept what you can’t understand and what you have to give up in order to manifest what’s important to you.

February 18th, 2019: Today’s Reality (Chiron Enters Aries)

Pieter Brueghel the Elder

Pieter Brueghel the Elder

  • Venus conjunct Saturn in Capricorn (16 deg)

  • Chiron enters Aries (4:07 am EST)

  • Pallas stations Rx in Libra (29 deg)

Venus/Saturn

Continuing yesterday’s activation of the Saturn/Neptune sextile, Venus conjunct Saturn defines what you have and what you can’t have. Here is the reality of a commitment, restriction or responsibility involving relationships, finances, self-esteem or values. Saturn makes it real and (in combination with Neptune) can also define what you have to give up in order to get what you want. Or, perhaps what you have to give up, period.

Venus/Saturn is the dividing line – the new beginning that separates past from present. This is permanent and official. Make it so.

Chiron into Aries

Chiron returns to Aries for the long haul (it won’t be completely done with this sign until April 2027). For details and dates on this transit, check this post.

Chiron’s return will reactivate issues from its first Aries ingress (April 17th, 2018) but now you’ll be pressing forward with the battle. There’s no turning back. Are you ready to fight with vulnerability as your banner? It’s interesting that the Venus/Saturn conjunction happens on this same day because it really does emphasize that hard line between past and present.

But we also have the Sun’s Pisces ingress today, so there’s a reminder that compassion and forgiveness are important. Be gentle with yourself, even as you step into the fray.

Pallas Rx

Pallas reaches the final degree of Venus-ruled Libra, then she stations Rx. The social or relationship strategy that you thought was complete needs a review. You’ll have to rethink how you relate to others, and the connection to Venus/Saturn is important – there’s a clear reality or rule that means you have to reassess your approach.

Pallas will station direct on May 30th (10 deg Libra) and will exit Libra for Scorpio on August 26th.

Pisces Season, 2019

The Sun enters Pisces this evening (February 18th) at 6:03 pm EST. This is the season where nothing is defined and everything (or nothing) is possible. It all depends on how you work with the energy of transcendence, allowance, release and spirituality.

Pisces is an expansive influence because boundaries are dissolved. But it’s often difficult to place any values on what expands because this is not about material gain. More is possible, but only if you release control and expectations. This is very much about going with the flow and trusting that it will take you to the perfect place at the perfect time.

This energy can be soothing or confusing, healing or undermining. As the last sign, endings can occur as situations gently but relentlessly dissolve. You simply cannot hold onto what’s fading away. But if you remain open, something new can flow in just as easily.

This year, expansion is boosted thanks to a square from Jupiter in Sag. This is the “no limits” aspect, but we always have to use to caution with hard aspects to Jupiter – there will be exaggeration or overestimation.

Here are the aspects the Pisces Sun will make:

  • Feb 19th: Full Moon (0 deg Virgo)

  • Feb 23rd: square Juno in Gemini (4 deg)

  • Feb 27th: sextile Mars in Taurus (9 deg)

  • Feb 28th: square Ceres in Sagittarius (9 deg)

  • Mar 6th: New Moon (15 deg Pisces)

  • Mar 6th: conjunct Neptune (16 deg)

  • Mar 7th: conjunct Vesta (17 deg)

  • Mar 9th: sextile Saturn in Capricorn (18 deg)

  • Mar 13th: sextile Pluto in Capricorn (22 deg)

  • Mar 13th: square Jupiter in Sagittarius (23 deg)

  • Mar 14th: conjunct Mercury Rx (24 deg)

  • Mar 15th: trine the Cancer North Node (24 deg)

  • Mar 17th: inconjunct Pallas Rx in Libra (27 deg)

  • Mar 20th: Aries ingress
