  • Transiting Juno enters Leo

Partnership agreements are expressed through the sign of pride, recognition, creativity and joy. This transit urges you to look at all your contracts and agreements (romantic and otherwise) to see if they make you proud.

Questions to ask yourself during this transit:

  • Do you feel free to express your true self in your relationship?

  • Does your partner encourage your talents or sense of playfulness?

  • Are you proud to tell others “This is my partner”?

As the “marriage asteroid” Juno is associated with fidelity, especially in the face of challenges (Juno remained faithful to Jupiter no matter how many mortals he fooled around with). But Leo is sometimes associated with affairs – despite its fixed nature, its childlike qualities and craving for constant attention and risk (this is also the sign of gambling) means certain partnerships may be confronted with challenges to fidelity. This is more likely to happen if one or both partners are bored, immature or unappreciated.

In general, this transit encourages the exploration of playfulness and pride in relationships. New agreements that manifest may be about who gets the spotlight.

Juno exits Leo for Virgo on August 23rd.

June 19th, 2019: Mercury/Mars Opposite Pluto Rx

Goya

  • Waning Inconjunct between the Capricorn Moon and Gemini Sun (28 deg)

  • Mercury and Mars in Cancer opposite Pluto Rx in Capricorn (22 deg)

After the results of June 17th’s Full Moon, the Waning Inconjunct adds another wrinkle. The truth or the story/promise needs to be adjusted according to a rule. You may not want to apply this rule – it may feel strict, unfair or harsh. But there are certain structures that need to be put in place. This will help you narrow your focus or make the wise choice.

Mercury rules the Gemini Sun, and along with Mars opposes Pluto Rx. This adds more tension to the inconjunct- forceful (Mars) words (Mercury) are extremely challenged or challenging. Subterranean truths are dredged up by obsessive actions and thoughts. In emotional Cancer, it will be very difficult to have a balanced, civil discussion. Nothing will be logical – there may be tears, angry neediness, words screamed from the child that sits inside all of us.

You may be pummeled by someone’s truth, or you may project anger/obsessiveness onto someone else. Projection is always a risk with the opposition. As always with Pluto, awareness is the best defense – think carefully before you act and speak, especially if you feel that a truth must be delivered. If someone comes at you, recognize that much of what’s happening is probably projection or attempts to manipulate through intimidation.

Can anything positive come out of today’s aspects? Well, Pluto always reveals what lies beneath. If you’re very careful, the union of words and actions can be focused for maximum effectiveness, using brutal honesty as fuel. Pluto is the subconscious or secrets and (if your eyes are wide open) can be focused through the conscious expression of words united with actions. You can obliterate a lie with this power. You can also destroy something perfectly good.

Be careful.

This takes us back to the Waning Inconjunct – that annoying rule or limit can act as a brake. Select your words with care and apply discipline, maturity and judgement.

June 18th, 2019: Making it Real

  • Mercury in Cancer conjunct Mars (21 deg)

  • Saturn Rx in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces (18 deg)

Mercury/Mars is the unification of words and actions, driven by emotions. This can be a powerful aspect if used wisely – tune into what feels most authentic/urgent and make sure your words are aligned with what you do.

Do what you think, think what you do. Walk the talk, especially if passion/anger is involved.

The second Saturn/Neptune sextile underscores the above with a subtle but important energy. Form (Saturn) harmonizes with formlessness (Neptune) to make things real. But any combo of Saturn and Neptune also suggests sacrifice, so you may have to give something up in order to manifest the dream.

Refer back to Jan 31st for the first Saturn/Neptune sextile for a hint about what this issue might be. It won’t jump up and grab you, but it will be a persistent, background energy.
