August 28th, 2019: Progress And What Can’t Be Fixed

Sun

The inconjunct to Chiron illuminates what hurts and what cannot be fixed. Virgo Sun’s purpose is to correct, but this influence will expose the wound that must be confronted rather than neatly tidied up. The focus on what sticks out like a sore thumb (Chiron in Aries) can emphasize distorted Virgo issues of not being good enough/smart enough.

But the messy, aggressive issue can increase awareness that this is a work in progress which requires empathy – helping others by acknowledging their battle rather than enforcing militant solutions. The Sun’s square to Ceres also hints at a crisis of nurturing – trying so hard to care and protect that good intentions become smothering. Freedom or ideals can trigger anxiety, with a resulting focus on “shoulds” and details that stifle growth.

Mars

Mars/Uranus is a nice antidote to the above. Precise, studious actions are injected with enough innovation that they enable change. Moving forward step-by-step can gradually reveal new details. Excellent for working on something that requires careful progress. The painful issue can be addressed with expansive nurturing. Chiron in Aries is about the courage to be uncomfortable/stand out/fight while you’re hurting. It’s the new, painful battle. The Venus/Mars conjunction has another layer as it makes an awkward aspect to Chiron. A wound or sensitivity will be triggered by acting on what you want. This is more of a side thing than the main story, but it will factor in. Pay attention to the slim but annoying thread of doubt or dissatisfaction, even if you get exactly what you desire.

Virgo is never entirely satisfied – the awareness of what needs to be improved means that even when things are “perfect” there’s always something that could be better. Virgo Season: The Best

The Sun enters Virgo on Aug 23rd at 6:01 AM EDT. The focus is on improvement, details and service. This is the season where you’re compelled to look at what’s wrong/missing and how that could be improved. But it’s also easy to remain stuck on what’s broken and ignore how it might be upgraded.

Virgo is the sign of service. This means (ideally) helping others without allowing yourself to become a slave/servant. Or, accepting help because you realize that someone has a more effective solution. “Service” is a difficult issue for many- some see it as a shameful thing and they look down on those who serve them (cashiers, waiters/waitresses, etc.) How you treat those who serve you says everything about the type of person you are. Others try to force their help on those who cannot be helped. It’s important to know when someone doesn’t want your assistance.

At its best, Virgo elevates mundane tasks – pride is taken in the precision of the work. The work becomes a thing of beauty that cuts through time and space like a laser, delivering exactly what’s needed at the perfect time. Details are elevated to something transcendent and the complexity of the thing that’s been built takes your breath away. Virgo specifics are the path to elevation and transcendence – God really is in the details. What you overlook can tear you down. What you focus on can raise you up.

Virgo is also about purity – focusing on the one issue and the best use of energy. Focusing on what’s healthiest. Virgo is self-contained, which applies to the concept of virginity. Virgo season begins on a challenging note with the 3rd Quarter Square – the Crisis of Consciousness. There may be conflicting urges to focus on the details versus the input of fast, new choices and info. Should you take your time or react quickly to what’s coming in? The questions that come up will be important.

This aspect is about questioning what you thought you knew, so the sudden influx of new choices is designed to open your eyes and drag you away from tunnel vision. While the overwhelming vibe may involve looking at one thing, don’t ignore the chatter or distractions. There’s more to consider.
