December 15th, 2019: Jupiter Trine Uranus (A Solid Opportunity)

Anders Zorn

Anders Zorn

  • Jupiter in Capricorn trine Uranus RX in Taurus (2 deg)

Here we have a balanced blend of innovation and realism. Any combo of Jupiter (expansion, optimism) and Uranus (surprise, liberation) can bring a sudden flash of luck. But when this energy is grounded in the Earth signs you have a valuable opportunity to move in a favourable direction while building something that lasts. This is the promise that’s backed up by physical proof.

The trine delivers energy that runs along a path of least resistance, so this opportunity may slide into your life naturally. It may seem a bit unusual but very promising-don’t ignore it! You can safely step outside your comfort zone by expanding structures/traditions/authority (Capricorn) and tapping into the updates that are happening with your finances,, values or security (Taurus).

Especially good for business matters, construction or physical health.

December 14th, 2019: The Cancer Moon

Anthony van Dyck

Anthony van Dyck

  • Cancer Moon opposite Saturn in Capricorn (19 deg)

  • Cancer Moon opposite Pluto in Capricorn (21 deg)

  • Waning Inconjunct between the Cancer Moon and Sagittarius Sun (22 deg)

  • Cancer Moon opposite Venus in Capricorn (23 deg)

  • Moon Void of Course in Cancer at 10:56 AM EST

  • Moon enters Leo at 10:55 PM EST

The sensitive Cancer Moon is hit with some difficult oppositions as Saturn suggests an impassable wall or ending, and Pluto indicates forced transformation. The vibe is heavy, with unavoidable challenges that push you to look after your own needs (this is not a warm and nurturing moment). Parental dynamics will be strong, whether you’re recalling unpleasant moments from childhood, dealing with a current tradition or struggling to parent yourself.

The Waning Inconjunct can make honouring those needs awkward but necessary. The sense that you should just “relax” or not take things so personally will be strong, and indeed there will be reason to maintain your perspective. But what you’re feeling on a personal level is valid and cannot be ignored.

The last aspect before the Moon goes VOC is an opposition to Venus: the tension between wants versus needs can make a relationship, financial or self-esteem issue seem impossible. Wants will be intensified along with the rift between between status versus comfort and success versus self-protection. Use the VOC period to contemplate what holds priority in your heart.

As the Moon enters Leo, watch for a welcome shift in the energy as confidence and the urge to make the most of who you are/what you have returns. What’s most important? You are.

December 13th, 2019: Venus Conjunct Pluto, Mars Trine Neptune

Arthur Hacker

Arthur Hacker

  • Venus in Capricorn conjunct Pluto (21°)

  • Mars in Scorpio trine Neptune in Pisces (15°)

Venus/Pluto is the intensification of defined desires. Pluto adds a “must have” quality to a relationship, financial or self- esteem issue. The intensity of what you want or love will teach you about your personal limits: how far are you willing to go and how much control are you willing to give up? The truth of what you want will be excavated so there’ll be no room for denial. This could be about a total commitment or total ending and transformation (aspects to Pluto often indicate a metaphorical death).

Neptune can enable Mars’ actions as a smooth flow of motivation with zero resistance. It will be easy to dive deeply into something, so this energy can enable healthy and not so healthy actions. Just because an aspect (the trine) is harmonious, doesn’t mean that the outcome is always positive. You really have to look at what you’re doing and why. On the plus side, Neptune can encourage Mars in Scorpio’s deeply compassionate or healing efforts as boundaries are dissolved.

Overall, this is about serious actions (Mars) and attraction (Venus). There’s the potential to go deeper than you ever have, regarding what you want and what you’re prepared to do to get it. As noted, efforts will be easy but that may or may not be a good thing. What you end up with will reveal the true power or transformative potential in a relationship or resource.

Full Moon in Gemini

The December 12th Full Moon at 19 deg Gemini (12:12 AM EDT) will square Neptune in Pisces. A square to Neptune is a crisis driven by disbelief or deceit. The results of this Full Moon may appear to have limitless choices and information (Gemini) as Neptune dissolves facts and creates confusion.

But what looks limitless or complex (shifting layers of truth) could actually be one, big illusion. Don’t get distracted by what-ifs. Focus on what you know, and if you don’t know anything, take a step back. Sometimes a distant perspective can help you see things more clearly.

This Moon will make a difficult inconjunct to the separating conjunction between Saturn and Venus in Capricorn. So there will be some strict realities (regarding a relationship, financial or self -esteem issue) that you’ll have to acknowledge. Limits or responsibilities around what you want can actually clear up some of the confusion. Certain choices will simply not be available.

While the inconjunct will be frustrating, don’t allow it to overwhelm you. This culmination is not all about what you can’t have or what you’re responsible for. You need to find the balance between wishful optimism versus hard truths. Honour the realities but don’t let them crush you. If it turns out that an illusion is being restricted, isn’t that for the best?

December 12th, 2019: Chiron Direct

  • Chiron stations direct in Aries (1 °)

When Chiron stationed RX on July 8th at 5° Aries, it was a process of going back over old wounds and reactivating sore spots. Situations may have reoccurred as a way of testing you-had you really dealt with that vulnerability? Maybe you found yourself fighting the same battle.

Now as Chiron moves forward it will once again activate 1-5° Aries. So even though you’ll be going over the same ground again, there should be a sense of progress and increased courage. Now you know what to expect and you’ve been tested and tempered.

Of course, Chiron will station retrograde again (on July 11, 2020) but it will be permanently done with 1-3° Aries as of March 1, 2020. So if you have anything in the Cardinal signs at these degrees, you can experience some relief-your battle is over (at least when it comes to Chiron in Aries).

As Chiron moves forward, watch for an increase in motivation or a feeling that you’re ready to confront what’s made you vulernable. Chiron is also the teacher, so you can look at these transits as an ongoing lesson. What wisdom have you gained from the review?

December 11th, 2019: Venus Conjunct Saturn

Diego Velázquez

Diego Velázquez

  • Venus in Capricorn conjunct Saturn (19°)

What you want will be defined and limited. There will be rules around money, relationships or how you express self- esteem. These rules will make your responsibilities undeniable; for example, the work that you must do in order to manifest what you want. You may feel pressured, and this will define the absolute reality of what you love and how you love.

If you’re comfortable with reality, this conjunction can herald a solid commitment that makes you happy. This is about the security of knowing exactly where you stand with someone else, with your finances and your values. This can also be about taking control of a relationship or yourself-exercising maturity and authority In order to manifest something good.

But if you’ve been avoiding reality or your responsibilities, this can represent a difficult obstacle that denies you what you want and forces you to restrain your spending/indulgence/expressions of affection.

A conjunction is a new beginning. The last time Venus and Saturn met up was on February 18th, 2019. A situation has come full circle since then. Consider if the rules and limits have changed, or if your approach to them has. If you’ve been trying to build financial, relationship or inner security, this is the time to take stock of how far you’ve come.

In some cases, a situation may mature to the point where it has reached its natural conclusion. Therefore, the new beginning will consist of what lies beyond the finish line.

December 10th, 2019: Mercury Trine Chiron RX

  • Mercury in Sagittarius trine Chiron RX in Aries (1 deg)

This aspect encourages you to talk about what hurts. Mercury in Sag’s optimism and broad perspectives can be used to integrate a wound or vulnerability. The difficulty is not insurmountable when you discuss it in the context of future growth (things will get better) or wisdom (you can learn from this).

Chiron is often associated with teaching; the hard-won wisdom you’ve gleaned from pain lets you help others. Sagittarius is also associated with teaching, so this is the perfect energy for giving or receiving enlightening messages.

What new perspectives or future possibilities can you apply to a current (repeat) difficulty? Chiron RX in Aries is about returning to the battle that must be fought when you feel weak, or the pioneer who is an outcast/ scapegoat, yet again. What stories can you tell about your battle?
