  • Venus in Capricorn sextile Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (25 deg)

Traditional expressions of female energy (Venus in Capricorn) can be integrated with subversive expressions of taboo female energy (Black Moon Lilith). A previously undefined sexual urge or desire to drift outside the lines can work more effectively within a certain structure. This could be about combining two sides of yourself or learning to accept someone who is an outsider or target of judgements.

BML adds another dimension to Venus’ restrained values, and Venus’ boundaries can increase BML’s power (sometimes BML in Pisces can undermine herself as she drifts into victim scenarios).

Overview

December 19th features a solid sextile between Mars in Scorpio and Saturn in Capricorn. Followed by Mars’ sextile to Pluto on December 22nd, you have a quiet but powerful opportunity to act in a profound way. Deep impact will be based on strategic focus and just the right amount of push.

Also on December 19th, Mercury in Sagittarius makes a doubtful square to Neptune in Pisces, blurring the facts in favour of big dreams, lies or fantasies.

On December 20th, Venus enters Aquarius and makes a sextile to Chiron in Aries until December 21st. New and somewhat detached expressions of affection, values or self-esteem can provide gentle assistance with what hurts, but Venus’ jarring square to Uranus in Taurus (December 22nd) can trigger risky expressions of liberation regarding what you want.

The Winter Solstice greets us on December 21st with the Sun’s Capricorn ingress, and the Sun’s square to Chiron (until December 23rd) will define this solstice. This is a seasonal turning point (the shortest day) which suggests that this can also be a turning point for you as you once again confront a wound or vulnerability that’s been active for months.

Aries

Mars in your sector of shared resources aspecting Saturn/Pluto suggests that career goals, results or power will be driven by behind-the-scenes efforts. This could be about pooling your efforts with another or tapping into previously unexplored reservoirs of strength or finances.

Mercury in your sector of opportunities square Neptune raises some questions about travel, education, legal matters, publishing or matters of faith. Secret or unacknowledged issues can exaggerate expectations or set you up for disappointment based on unrealistic visions.

Venus into your social sector (sextile Chiron in your sign) indicates that unusual new friendships or approaches to your public image can help you address insecurities. However, there is also a danger of risking your finances or values if you attract (or are attracted to) situations that place you so far out on the edge that you compromise your security.

The Sun into your career sector (and the Winter Solstice) features a square to Chiron in your sign. The tension between status/success versus your vulnerabilities will emphasize a wound as you struggle to work with new rules or goals. However, this dynamic tension will encourage you to confront the difficulties and start a new chapter.

Taurus

Mercury in your sector of shared resources square Neptune cautions that the influence of others (friends, groups, the public) can blur the facts involving shared finances, intimacy or psychological matters. The exploration of hidden or uncomfortable subjects can result in exaggerated fears or delusions, based on external influences.

Aspects to Venus into your career sector suggests that a new professional desire or relationship can help you address hidden wounds or unspoken insecurities. Embracing new energies can boost your confidence, but the square to Uranus RX in your sign is a caution to not push things too far- big risks can compromise your reputation or future goals.

The Sun into your opportunities sector (and the Winter Solstice) can be a powerful turning point regarding travel, education, legal matters, publishing or faith. Aspects to Venus in your opportunities sector suggests that intriguing developments in the areas of long-distance romance, travel, legal matters, publishing or faith can reassure you if you’re dealing with social anxiety or difficulties with friends. But a hidden or unacknowledged drive for freedom (or an unforeseen disruption) can push you further into unknown territory than you’re prepared to go. Use extreme caution and try to minimize risks

The Sun into your sector of shared resources (and the Winter Solstice) once again triggers public wounds or insecurities. Issues behind the scenes (involving shared finances or intimacy) can hi-light doubtful social connections, but this time you’re at a turning point: watch for a result or breakthrough.

But external, social influences can disrupt a deep connection or push you to invest unwisely. Too, you may take a risk in an intimate relationship that pushes things too far.

But watch for jarring or unexpected developments regarding professional goals or radical changes to your future plans – a relationship can take a sudden left turn because of this.

The Sun into your sector of routine (and the Winter Solstice) reactivates ongoing tensions between daily health or work issues versus travel, education, legal matters, publishing or faith. But now the energy has reached a peak and you should be able to use the tension to make some constructive, real-world changes.

Virgo

Mars in your communication sector aspecting Saturn/Pluto suggests that a blend of passionate actions and words can be focused and empowered by your creative or romantic goals. Excellent for turning ideas into reality.

Mercury in your domestic sector square Neptune indicates that conversations with a domestic partner, or involving family history or a home business can be misleading. Try not to get caught up in projected suspicions or hopes.

Aspects to Venus in your sector of routine look good for addressing painful (and hidden issues) with a partner, finances or psychological wounds. An injection of new assistance or innovative approaches can help, but be cautious about taking huge risks or making radical changes. Aim for slow and steady, even if a major update is tempting.

The Sun into your sector of self-expression (and the Winter Solstice) activates ongoing wounds in the areas of debts, taxes, loans, your partner’s finances, intimacy or psychological matters. Your attempts to manifest a romantic or creative goal will once again bring you to a turning point, but now there is a buildup of energy that may allow you to turn a corner.

Aspects to Venus in your sector of self-expression indicate a blend of compassion and attraction when dealing with another’s pain. But there can also be an unexpected and disruptive angle to a new attraction, celebration or your desire to treat yourself. This can be exciting but risky for finances and (regarding a new attraction) not necessarily long-term.

The Sun into your domestic sector (and the Winter Solstice) triggers ongoing difficulties with a domestic partner or relationships in general. Once again, you’re confronting another’s pain or your projected wounds, via rules/traditions at home. But now you’ve reached a turning point or finish line.

Once again you’re confronted with verbal/written rules or focus that draw your attention to what’s weak or broken. But at this point you can turn a corner in how you deal with this issue (this may involve a formal document or agreement).

The Sun into your sector of personal resources (and the Winter Solstice) once again activates doubts and insecurities around a romantic or creative issue. Finances or the definition of your values and boundaries have reached a point where you must decide what your next step is. Or, you could be ready to take charge of what’s been undermining you.

Aspects to Venus in your sector of personal resources can provide a gentle boost of reassurance involving family wounds or financial concerns. But there’s a strong risk of overdoing it regarding spending, celebrating or putting yourself out there, romantically. A risk may be attractive, but make sure you can afford it.

The Sun into your sign (and the Winter Solstice) reactivates a domestic wound or family difficulty from the past. Once again, you’re attempting to define or control a painful area but there should be enough energy now to come to terms with what’s happening and reach a conclusion.

Aquarius

The Sun into your hidden sector (and the Winter Solstice) once again activates ongoing wounds regarding lack of respect for your words or your fears about speaking out. You may be dealing with a secret but now you’ve reached a point where you’re deciding whether to let it go or define it and speak openly.

Pisces

Mars in your sector of opportunities aspecting Saturn/Pluto indicates that social rules, traditions and changes (including an ending in your social circle or public image) can add weight and power as you move forward in the areas of travel, education, legal matters, publishing or faith. Public developments can empower you.

The Sun in your social sector (and the Winter Solstice) reactivates ongoing difficulties in the areas of money or values. Social rules or judgments can push you to confront an area where you feel you’re lacking or aren’t quite good enough. This is your chance to turn a corner on that issue and make some permanent changes.

December 15th, 2019: Jupiter Trine Uranus (A Solid Opportunity)

Anders Zorn

Anders Zorn

  • Jupiter in Capricorn trine Uranus RX in Taurus (2 deg)

Here we have a balanced blend of innovation and realism. Any combo of Jupiter (expansion, optimism) and Uranus (surprise, liberation) can bring a sudden flash of luck. But when this energy is grounded in the Earth signs you have a valuable opportunity to move in a favourable direction while building something that lasts. This is the promise that’s backed up by physical proof.

The trine delivers energy that runs along a path of least resistance, so this opportunity may slide into your life naturally. It may seem a bit unusual but very promising-don’t ignore it! You can safely step outside your comfort zone by expanding structures/traditions/authority (Capricorn) and tapping into the updates that are happening with your finances,, values or security (Taurus).

Especially good for business matters, construction or physical health.

December 14th, 2019: The Cancer Moon

Anthony van Dyck

Anthony van Dyck

  • Cancer Moon opposite Saturn in Capricorn (19 deg)

  • Cancer Moon opposite Pluto in Capricorn (21 deg)

  • Waning Inconjunct between the Cancer Moon and Sagittarius Sun (22 deg)

  • Cancer Moon opposite Venus in Capricorn (23 deg)

  • Moon Void of Course in Cancer at 10:56 AM EST

  • Moon enters Leo at 10:55 PM EST

The sensitive Cancer Moon is hit with some difficult oppositions as Saturn suggests an impassable wall or ending, and Pluto indicates forced transformation. The vibe is heavy, with unavoidable challenges that push you to look after your own needs (this is not a warm and nurturing moment). Parental dynamics will be strong, whether you’re recalling unpleasant moments from childhood, dealing with a current tradition or struggling to parent yourself.

The Waning Inconjunct can make honouring those needs awkward but necessary. The sense that you should just “relax” or not take things so personally will be strong, and indeed there will be reason to maintain your perspective. But what you’re feeling on a personal level is valid and cannot be ignored.

The last aspect before the Moon goes VOC is an opposition to Venus: the tension between wants versus needs can make a relationship, financial or self-esteem issue seem impossible. Wants will be intensified along with the rift between between status versus comfort and success versus self-protection. Use the VOC period to contemplate what holds priority in your heart.

As the Moon enters Leo, watch for a welcome shift in the energy as confidence and the urge to make the most of who you are/what you have returns. What’s most important? You are.

December 13th, 2019: Venus Conjunct Pluto, Mars Trine Neptune

Arthur Hacker

Arthur Hacker

  • Venus in Capricorn conjunct Pluto (21°)

  • Mars in Scorpio trine Neptune in Pisces (15°)

Venus/Pluto is the intensification of defined desires. Pluto adds a “must have” quality to a relationship, financial or self- esteem issue. The intensity of what you want or love will teach you about your personal limits: how far are you willing to go and how much control are you willing to give up? The truth of what you want will be excavated so there’ll be no room for denial. This could be about a total commitment or total ending and transformation (aspects to Pluto often indicate a metaphorical death).

Neptune can enable Mars’ actions as a smooth flow of motivation with zero resistance. It will be easy to dive deeply into something, so this energy can enable healthy and not so healthy actions. Just because an aspect (the trine) is harmonious, doesn’t mean that the outcome is always positive. You really have to look at what you’re doing and why. On the plus side, Neptune can encourage Mars in Scorpio’s deeply compassionate or healing efforts as boundaries are dissolved.

Overall, this is about serious actions (Mars) and attraction (Venus). There’s the potential to go deeper than you ever have, regarding what you want and what you’re prepared to do to get it. As noted, efforts will be easy but that may or may not be a good thing. What you end up with will reveal the true power or transformative potential in a relationship or resource.

Full Moon in Gemini

The December 12th Full Moon at 19 deg Gemini (12:12 AM EDT) will square Neptune in Pisces. A square to Neptune is a crisis driven by disbelief or deceit. The results of this Full Moon may appear to have limitless choices and information (Gemini) as Neptune dissolves facts and creates confusion.

But what looks limitless or complex (shifting layers of truth) could actually be one, big illusion. Don’t get distracted by what-ifs. Focus on what you know, and if you don’t know anything, take a step back. Sometimes a distant perspective can help you see things more clearly.

This Moon will make a difficult inconjunct to the separating conjunction between Saturn and Venus in Capricorn. So there will be some strict realities (regarding a relationship, financial or self -esteem issue) that you’ll have to acknowledge. Limits or responsibilities around what you want can actually clear up some of the confusion. Certain choices will simply not be available.

While the inconjunct will be frustrating, don’t allow it to overwhelm you. This culmination is not all about what you can’t have or what you’re responsible for. You need to find the balance between wishful optimism versus hard truths. Honour the realities but don’t let them crush you. If it turns out that an illusion is being restricted, isn’t that for the best?

December 12th, 2019: Chiron Direct

  • Chiron stations direct in Aries (1 °)

When Chiron stationed RX on July 8th at 5° Aries, it was a process of going back over old wounds and reactivating sore spots. Situations may have reoccurred as a way of testing you-had you really dealt with that vulnerability? Maybe you found yourself fighting the same battle.

Now as Chiron moves forward it will once again activate 1-5° Aries. So even though you’ll be going over the same ground again, there should be a sense of progress and increased courage. Now you know what to expect and you’ve been tested and tempered.

Of course, Chiron will station retrograde again (on July 11, 2020) but it will be permanently done with 1-3° Aries as of March 1, 2020. So if you have anything in the Cardinal signs at these degrees, you can experience some relief-your battle is over (at least when it comes to Chiron in Aries).

As Chiron moves forward, watch for an increase in motivation or a feeling that you’re ready to confront what’s made you vulernable. Chiron is also the teacher, so you can look at these transits as an ongoing lesson. What wisdom have you gained from the review?
