Moon Opposite Saturn is serious about getting ahead and the mother may have instilled this driving ambition in the child at a very young age. The mother will have had very high standards (and maybe been a tad too critical) so that the child is continually striving to better itself. August 17 New Moon – Rude Muse
The New Moon on 17 August 2012 is at 25º Leo and on the star Alfard the watersnake. This is an ardent, creative and inspiring new start after the horrendous “Barking Mad New Moon” of July. The closest aspect is a saucy sextile to a bondaged up Mars conjunct Saturn, but there is also a square to Black Moon Lilith now on the Lilith star Algol no less. A wanton moon, very intense, and maybe a tad repressed, so he is stalking. (Venus opposite Pluto in the horoscope.) Both Mercury and Venus are activating the sexual revolution through the Uranus square Pluto, maybe this Moon can provide a lasting solution between warring couples. The New moon is also conjunct Asteroid Calliope the muse of epic poetry, after all the squabbles, at least we have something concrete to show for it. Moon Sextile Pluto
Moon sextile Pluto seems to have many more sinister undertones than one would expect from a soft aspect, but this is still a Hades moon. Moon/Pluto aspects are never going to be easy because the sensitive moon combined with the sometime hellish transformation of outer planet Pluto is going to be hard for an individual to carry on a personal level. What the sextile can do however, is at least channel this intense, penetrating and occasionally ruthless energy into something creative. The artistic products are not going to be light hearted or bubble-gum, they will have the tinge of the underworld to them, be powerful or even political. The Full Moon on August 2 2012 is at 10º Aquarius and conjunct Asteroid Cyrene, the lion-taming huntress. We have a sparkly and enthusiastic Moon trine Jupiter, roaring fun and innovation. We have some nice geometry too, what Esoteric Astrologers call “The Cradle” See chart. Pluto is pulling fresh, exciting ideas and visions out of cocoon, like a butterfly.
