Moon opposite Pluto subjects have the ability to penetrate to the core of an issue without leaving a trace of themselves. A good example of this is the talk show host who knows exactly what the public wants to ask of his guests can fish the information out of them before they realise they have been broken into. Moon opposite Pluto is the aspect of exposes, hacking, covert operations and skilled invaders. This is because at some point in their lives they themselves have been “invaded”. The mother may have left the child no room for privacy and was perhaps obsessively protective for fear of something dreadful happening to the child. Sometimes the worst does actually happen where the toxins of the whole family seem to get absorbed by the Moon opposite Pluto subject. The Pluto scapegoat receives all manner of “evils” projected onto them from the other side of the opposition. These subjects find it difficult to trust others with their feelings or secrets, yet somehow they become the catalyst for bringing to light others peoples deepest darkest demons. They can push the collectives boil to the surface so to speak, which is why they make great psychologists, in-depth researchers […]

Moon Trine Saturn
Moon trine Saturn subjects usually have experienced some hardship in their early years that makes them all the more determined to succeed as they get older. These people are tough as old boots and born survivors. Some experience physical injury and criticism from others as children, which leaves them feeling insecure as they are growing up. They are very proud though and will never show this vulnerable side. They have a strong need to prove themselves to the world if they have experienced cold, disapproving or fault-finding parenting. The trine has a Jupiter influence so this combination can balance out the earlier harsh experiences. In their older years if Saturn is not afflicted they can achieve the success, financial security, high status and critical acclaim that they have always yearned for. They tend to be conservative in their domestic lives with strong emphasis on traditional family values. Moon Trine Saturn Celebrities Debra Winger (01’), Academy award winning American actress with a reputation of being difficult and mouthy. “Most bad behavior comes from insecurity. Even though I loved what I was doing, I didn’t always know I could pull it off. (…) I took [my insecurities out] on everybody. But in my […]

New House, New Start
Jamie has moved and will have no internet for a week. Uranus crossed his IC the day his house application was approved. My second home is 3 minutes walk to the town center and beach! It’s an important move psychologically as previously Jamie lived on the wrong side of the Pacific highway. It was all our budget could afford 3 years ago when we first got together. At night the trucks thundered past, very unsettling, and we were so isolated from the town center. 2012 turned out to be our most difficult year as a couple. In April Jamie was diagnosed with early stage bowel cancer. The operation was a success and Jamie has made a fantastic recovery. (He wrote about his diagnosis and recovery in the Hygeia post comments.) However the health crisis has slowed us down in terms of what we wanted to achieve this year both professionally and in pushing forward with our long term plan of living together full time. But it has made us look at where we need to focus energies and our priorities. Website changes We have decided to discontinue the weekly horoscopes. Jamie needs time to write the all important 2013 horoscopes. He is […]

Asteroid Hylonome
Asteroid Hylonome 10370 was a female centaur in Greek mythology. Hylonome was heartbroken and killed herself when her beloved partner, the centaur Cyllarus was killed in battle. She immediately took her own life with the very same fatal arrow. This is the ultimate centaur sacrifice; suicide in order to be reunited with one’s soulmate and be at one with the cosmos. Like Chiron and all centaurs, Hylonome bridges two outer planets and has a transforming influence. Here she transforms Uranian shock into altruism and Neptunian yearning to connect with source. The negative manifestation of this is fairly obvious, playing the martyr and thinking ones life is meaningless without a partner. Suicide bombers are a good example of this archetype, with the explosive thunderbolt Uranian energy being the passport to ultimate Neptunian redemption in heaven. The story of Hylonome and Cyllarus is indeed touching. The two were inseparable. Ovid states “Their love was equal; on the hills they roamed together, and together they would go back to their cave”. So then when her soulmate died what else could Hylonome do but join him in the afterlife. Its safe to say that Cyllarus would have followed suit such was their devotion to each […]
Mars Conjunct Pluto
Mars conjunct Pluto. There is something very tragic about this conjunction. It doesn’t mean that all these people are doomed, but they do seem to have a melodramatic aura about them. Some will channel the pain and passion into their creations. In the case of the musicians here, it makes for sincere, heart-felt music and a searing emotional delivery of their songs. This aspect is rare amongst the famous, so I would think it takes quite an exceptional person to use this explosive conjunction in such a way that it does not self-destruct. Mars conjunct Pluto seems to be the proverbial phoenix from the flames. If they learn to channel this wild energy well, then they can survive anything. This combination is also a dare-devil. It is fearless to the point it may indeed have some kind of a death wish. They enjoy the adrenalin rush of dangerous sports. Sexually, this is a red-hot as you can get, they like the taboo and the thrill of chasing the forbidden fruit. The harder-to-get the lover plays the better, for Mars conjunct Pluto likes a challenge. Mars Conjunct Pluto Celebrities Patsy Cline (12’) died aged just 30 at the height of her […]
Moon Quincunx Pluto
Moon quincunx Pluto is the intense Hades moon with a twist. They may have lost a sibling or a parent at an early age, which meant they had to grow up quickly and accept death as a natural part of life. Otherwise something about their childhood left them in the dark and alone, so that they would need to find some pastime or quest to fill the Plutonic black hole. Their sexuality is sultry, but eccentric and taboo in some way. They may have multiple marriages, same sex relationships, be very uninhibited or have some strange sexual fetish. Whatever their sexual preference, they will always be experimental and yes with a Pluto quincunx, kinky! Moon Quincunx Pluto Celebrities Dorothy Parker (04’) was an American poet, satirist and writer. She lost her mother at just five years old and hated both her father and stepmother, claiming her father was physically abusive and calling her stepmother “The housekeeper”. Parker was best known for her acerbic wit and wisecracks and was very much the dark, tortured Hades soul. She married three times, twice to the same man, had numerous affairs, but found love elusive. Heartbroken she attempted suicide numerous times, was depressive and […]
October 15 New Moon – Dare To Shine
The New Moon on 15 October 2012 by Darkstar Astrology. This new moon is at 22º Libra, on the brilliant fixed star Spica in constellation Virgo and opposite daredevil
The Hyades
The Hyades star cluster is in the face of Taurus the bull, spanning 5 to 9 degrees Gemini. Some include Aldebaran here, but really he is separate from the rest of the cluster and needs to be read separately also. The Hyades themselves cluster around the left eye of the Bull and the face. Ain is the star in the eye, but Prima Hyadum is the alpha star of the Hyades which has separate interpretations for the planets listed below. For Hyades as a whole Manilus writes: “The Hyades are a stormy star group and was regarded as a separate constellation. Those born at this time take no pleasure in tranquillity and set no store by a life of inaction; rather they yearn for crowds and mobs and civil disorders. Sedition and uproar delight them” [1] Generally Robsons interpretations for the Hyades are much harsher than those of Aldebaran. It is interesting that Robson himself has both his Sun and Midheaven in the Hyades. However Robson’s personal life is a mystery, so we have no way of knowing if he based his conclusions on himself. He says the Hyades; “give tears, sudden events, violence, fierceness, poisoning, blindness, wounds or injuries to […]
