Aquarius Decan 2

The fixed stars of Aquarius Decan 2 reside in the goat, the crane, the swan, the southern fish and the dolphin. The Sun aligns with these stars from approximately January 31 until February 9. This is a gentle breed of water bearer, things are a little more mellow here, but it doesn’t mean this section is any less eccentric than Aquarius Decan 1. There is still the famous Aquarian rebelliousness; only here they are mostly mild-mannered. In Decan 2 we find the brooding and sometimes insolent Aquarians. These are the folk who dig their fixed-sign heels real deep if you try to push them while at the same time beaming you an arresting electric grin. This is the Uranian smile that zaps you into laying off them. Willpower is very strong here and we get great success from this decan mainly because they are too darn stubborn to be swayed from pursuing their goals. In this section we get influence from the water bearer itself with Albali in the left hand of Aquarius, this star in Arabic means “The good fortune of the swallower”, curiously named because this star appeared to absorb the light of some of the stars in […]

Moon Trine Ceres

Moon trine Ceres seems to give great luck and the ability to bounce back from tragedy. Their fortunes tend to fluctuate from one extreme to another, but they take it all in their stride saved by their ability to see the funny side of life. Their sense of humour gets them out of the stickiest of situations, but they can have quite a dark side to their comedy too. This is also an extremely sensuous aspect with an appreciation for the aesthetic and general good taste. They can be quite indulgent and love their luxury, however they are generous too and charity is important to them. Moon trine Ceres are fascinated by history and can be very nostalgic. Family and their ancestry is important to them. They like to keep archives and preserve the past for posterity. Passing on their talents to the younger generation seems to be strong with this aspect as is having some inheritance to hand down to their children. As with all Ceres aspects the need to nurture is marked and they will do this in the most basic, material way. Providing food, warmth and shelter to those they love. 2013 – The Year Ahead

2013 continues the intense revolutionary changes and karma burning started in 2012 However later in 2013, Jupiter, the planet of growth, luck and optimism will be there to bounce us back with renewed hope after the tougher moments. The first big aspect of 2013 is Saturn sextile Pluto which we had a taste of on December 26 2012. We get this again on March 8 with Saturn on fixed star Acrux in the Crucifix. This proves to be a very important constellation this year. “It gives religious beneficence, ceremonial, justice, magic and mystery, and is frequently prominent in the horoscopes of astrologers and occultists”. But it can also be the cross of burdens and hardships. At times this year you may feel crucified by it all, but somehow rise and rise again… Saturn with god of resurrection Pluto, makes for a very stoic, determined and tenacious energy. Those decan 2 Capricorns and Scorpios will find this gives them superhuman powers to withstand any storm. To a lesser degree all decan 2 Water and Earth signs get steel-plated backbones in 2013, they will be the world’s industrious worker bees, building the foundations for our future. The biggest transit of the year is still the Uranus square Pluto, which […]

Moon Conjunct Ceres

Moon conjunct Ceres is super-mum, the ultimate in matriarchs, the Queen of Pentacles and the Empress archetype. This does not necessarily mean he or she is particularly maternal however. For even if they do happen to spawn many children they may actually be quite distant and not that physically affectionate or close to their offspring. […]
