Regardless of your Sun Sign, this is the week you and everyone around you turns into honorary Cancers. Congratulations, Crab People! I’m going to say some very nice things about you. Then because Cancers tend to be a sensitive lot, I’m going to give you an opportunity to turn away before the last paragraph so your feelings don’t get hurt.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday night\/Wednesday morning, the Sun enters Cancer<\/b>. This means more than simply stocking up on thoughtful (but not overpoweringly so) gifts for your Cancer buddies. It lends a certain eager nervousness to those exchanges that involve the Ego — and yes, that certainly includes romance. Cancer tends to downplay its Ego, if anything — living next door to Leo can do that to a Sign — but that doesn’t mean it isn’t there.<\/p>\n
Also on Wednesday, Mercury enters Cancer<\/b>. This will naturally lend an additional reactive tone to your words and thoughts (and those of others). One thing to watch out for is a certain sentimentality over the past… and touchiness in regard to the past or shared memories.<\/p>\n
Friday brings a New Moon in Cancer<\/b>. I always recommend using the New Moon as a time to set goals and deliberately state the changes you want to see in your life in the next month. A New Moon in Cancer is particularly powerful (since the Moon rules that Sign), so changes to your emotional outlook and material comforts will be particularly favored. Don’t forget that Mars is still less than halfway through Cancer, so you’ve likely had a few opportunities in the last couple of weeks to be dissatisfied with something or other in your emotional life.<\/p>\n
All this heartfelt stuff should pay off if you play your cards right this weekend. Venus trine Pluto<\/b> (exact on Saturday) will make pickup lines a little more heartfelt and will move some people from the “casual dating” category to “looking for commitment.” Existing relationships will start reaching for more security, and even first dates are more likely to end with some hints of the long-term.<\/p>\n
So: this all sounds great, doesn’t it? Sure, for many of you, it will be. But for those of you who are too sensitive to bad news (whether you’re an actual Cancer or simply an honorary one because of this week’s transits), it’s time for you to look away. Come back next week though, all right?<\/p>\n

Jupiter in Libra finds its greatest pleasure in relationships and partnerships — and when it’s connected to Mars by a square, that “pleasure” may come in the form of combat.
