\"\"<\/a>The first part of the first week of 2017 starts out with Mars conjunct Neptune<\/b>, which is likely to soften a lot of attitudes and make people more aware of the “love” side of Mars as opposed to the “war” side of that planet. This is generally pretty good for romantic pursuits, but a little caution is required. Mars conjunct Neptune isn’t a terribly realistic aspect, so proceed with a little caution and try not to give too much of your heart away all at once.<\/p>\n

If it’s romance more than sex that floats your boat, the good news is that Venus enters Pisces<\/b> on Tuesday. Pisces is the sign where Venus is exalted… in other words, where it does its best work. Venus stays there until February 3rd, so (all else being equal) it should be a good time for finding new love or strengthening an existing relationship. If you think you’ve found your soul mate this week, great… but just remember that caution about Mars conjunct Neptune I gave you. In the Sixties they used to say “if it feels good, do it” a lot. It wasn’t until the Seventies when we realized there could be consequences to unfettered feeling-good-and-doing-it.<\/p>\n

The early part of the week brings a relatively rare chance to express yourself and your feelings in a sweet and heartfelt manner. Mercury sextile Venus<\/b> (exact on Tuesday) lends a touch of creativity to your communications. Just remember that Mercury is still retrograde, so double-check the rhyme scheme on that sonnet you write… and make sure you aren’t accidentally sending it to the wrong e-mail address. On Wednesday, Mercury stumbles backwards into Sagittarius for a few days before the retrograde period is over<\/b>. Avoid opening your mouth and inserting your foot for the rest of the week.<\/p>\n

Weekend dating is well served by a warm and sensual Moon in Taurus<\/b>, but (again) be cautious as to where and how you express those impulses of yours. First of all, Sun conjunct Pluto<\/b> (exact on Saturday) is great for making bold moves, but represents a bit of a hazard when it comes to logic and impulse control. Secondly, even though it isn’t exact until next week, Mars sextile Pluto<\/b> will be in play for the weekend. Mars represents sexual impulses, Pluto represents powerful needs and demands, and the sextile is whispering “hey, why not just go for it?
