Have you ever found your self in a relationship dynamic that you didn\u2019t want to be in? Ever find your self, wondering: How did it get this bad?<\/em> Was it the leaky faucet we neglected to fix? All those times I went silent when I should\u2019ve spoken?<\/em> That\u2019s how many of us feel, lately, living in this world gone mad. <\/span>And this dysfunctional relationship is\u00a0extremely one-sided. The\u00a0world is not being a good listener. It doesn\u2019t ask you what you want and need, nor does it care. No matter how much you try to fix it, no matter how much you try to help, like an alcoholic that needs to bottom out on its own, it does what it does. No, it’s not going to change — not anytime soon, anyhow.<\/p>\n Yet here we are, on social media, in our conversations, attempting to have a relationship with a world gone crazy. My social media\u00a0feed is a noisy\u00a0cacophony of responses. Planet of communication, Mercury, in Gemini, is filling out\u00a0a t-square to the illogical Saturn-Neptune square at this Full Moon.\u00a0Language can feel\u00a0futile right now; how does one\u00a0engage nonsense?<\/strong> As the saying goes,\u00a0You can\u2019t reason with crazy<\/em>. Opinions have never been so\u00a0freely\u00a0on tap, and when\u00a0everyone feels the need to speak up and share what they think, how we use our words becomes\u00a0increasingly important.\u00a0Do we perpetuate fear, or love, with our words and thoughts?<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0I\u2019ve decided the only appropriate response to world events is art. Perhaps, poetry. Maybe some spoken word:<\/p>\n Make all things possible again because I cannot see<\/em><\/p>\n I AM\u00a0in a snowstorm searching for my keys<\/em><\/p>\n I\u2019m being bombarded by a thousand things I did not ever want, nor ask for<\/em><\/p>\n None of this is mine<\/em><\/p>\n All of this is mine,<\/em><\/p>\n Now<\/em><\/p>\n No, this isn\u2019t a\u00a0world I created -at least I don\u2019t remember doing so. Yet now it\u00a0is\u00a0mine and I, and you, have a choice about how to participate. We can throw our words into the ring- share the innumerable meme and hate-battling sentiments, fill up our\u00a0rectangular white comment blocks with more… words (sometimes our participation magnifies something, making it bigger). We\u00a0can allow the fire to purify our\u00a0purpose and send us on a mission to do some real good and healing. We can become a\u00a0more\u00a0effective change-maker\u00a0(and if you know\u00a0how to do this, please step forward now). If we’ve ever contributed to the shadows\u00a0of bigotry, prejudice, hate and injustice that’s plaguing us now, we have the responsibility<\/em> to help clean that stuff up. Or we can choose to not participate.<\/p>\n Let me say this:You are not a cruel and insensitive person for not openly bleeding all over your Facebook feed.\u00a0Refusing to engage with a world gone mad is not avoidance. It is preservation of sanity.<\/strong>\u00a0 I\u2019m thinking of the recently deceased Muhammad Ali, a conscientious objector, a man who decided to not participate in something unconscionable- the Vietnam War. I\u2019m thinking of myself, and all the empaths\u00a0who, when\u00a0an act of violence drops into the atmosphere, feel it in our physical body, as something painfully destabilizing that starts making little then more noticeable inroads into our sanity, centeredness, and ability to hold peace and healing for our selves and others. Empathic or not, we are all being impacted\u00a0by world events on energetic levels.<\/p>\n We may not be able to choose the world we live in, but we can choose to inhabit a world we want to live in. <\/strong>Full Moon Sagittarius shines a light beam of hope and possibility into the darkness. Let\u2019s reach for higher ground– if only inside our self. Let\u2019s imagine a world we want to live in. Close your eyes. What do you see? Everything is possible inside your mind\u2019s eye, perhaps not on the outside\u00a0(not yet anyhow)\u00a0but inside you have an arena to play and create. Follow your inspirations, now more than ever. Give yourself permission to have\u00a0a sacred sanctuary that upholds everything you stand for, your beliefs, your loves, beauty, values and truth. Hang out there. Often. You\u00a0are\u00a0not burying your head in the sand. You are holding a light of peace for us all.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n I create the world I want to live in. I take many\u00a0trips to the garden. I court hummingbirds, wear rose oil and read books I love because this\u00a0makes me feel good. Instead of giving myself over to emotional depletion, I vigilantly fill myself up. I remember what\u2019s important, as a practice, many times a day and when fear, paranoia and\u00a0despair arises from the ego structures that perpetuate them, I let that stuff go. That is not the world I want to live in.\u00a0By not participating in a\u00a0world I do not want, I start to create the world I want. That\u2019s how I help heal everything. I plant flowers. I listen to music. I make dinner. I make love. I make art.<\/p>\n I do my women\u2019s work<\/em><\/p>\n The work that all women do,<\/em><\/p>\n Silent but not quiet<\/em><\/p>\n We ask for fresh water, for healing, cleansing<\/em><\/p>\n We make magic disguised as small ordinary everyday things<\/em><\/p>\n Feeling blood pump back into muscle<\/em><\/p>\n Remembering what\u2019s not mine and what is mine, strength grows<\/em><\/p>\n There is power in small places<\/em><\/p>\n A garden can feed a neighborhood<\/em><\/p>\n A bedroom can conceive a life<\/em><\/p>\n A dream can give rise to vision<\/em><\/p>\n An ant can pull 5,000x her body weight<\/em><\/p>\n Miracles happen<\/em><\/p>\n A hippopotamus\u00a0gives strawberry pink milk to her young<\/em><\/p>\n My strawberry flows into me and into you<\/em><\/p>\n I leave a trail of sweet smelling fragrance wherever I walk<\/em><\/p>\n Light follows me<\/em><\/p>\n Sound of music and birds find me<\/em><\/p>\n I open my mailbox and I receive… my self<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n I can find myself again because I know where to look<\/em><\/p>\n I can take nourishment in the Mother<\/em><\/p>\n Venus has just entered Cancer, sign of the Mother Goddess, and the Sun will join her\u00a0on this Full Moon day. The feminine always has healing nourishment on hand.<\/strong> The feminine, with her ability to nourish\u00a0beauty and all of life even in the most desolate of times,\u00a0can turn bitter vinegar into sweet wine, can\u00a0teach us how to heal, and, like a flower gently turning toward the sun, open\u00a0our hearts to love. She awaits, a\u00a0perpetual\u00a0invitation to remember our divinity. This is my world, a\u00a0world I want to live in. I choose to inhabit this<\/em> world.
