Feliz Cinco De Saturno!<\/em><\/p>\n

This Monday in Mexico (and many parts of the United States) is celebrated as Cinco De Mayo<\/em>, which commemorates a surprise victory by Mexico over French forces in 1862. Ultimately, the Mexicans were defeated by the French a year later… but hey, it was good for a while, and things could always be worse… right? In light of the Cardinal Grand Cross, this is perhaps the most useful attitude to adopt: the worst has passed<\/strong>, so have a beer and celebrate the power of Saturn — still retrograde in Scorpio, yet holding things together in the face of adversity the way Saturn does.<\/p>\n

Jupiter remains in a trine with Saturn, and Jupiter is now starting to approach the exact degree of that trine.<\/strong> The peculiar combination of relentless optimism and rugged determination that Jupiter and Saturn aspecting each other provides is probably just what we all need more of in light of recent events.<\/p>\n

Mercury leaves Taurus and enters Gemini on Wednesday<\/strong>. Your thinking and planning skills may very well turn from slow and steady to brilliant but erratic. Complicating matters on Wednesday is the fact that the Moon is Void of Course in Leo all day long. You may find yourself with brilliant new ideas, but those ideas may very well have a hard time taking root or turning out as planned.<\/p>\n

Those additional few ounces of extra brainpower that Mercury in Gemini provide should be put to good use on the weekend, which contains an interesting combination of romantic promise and peril. After being Void in Virgo on Friday evening (here’s hoping you didn’t count on your Friday Night plans coming together for you at the last minute), the Moon passes through Libra and activates the Cardinal Grand Cross<\/strong>. This will certainly make for heightened emotions, and when you add Venus opposite Mars, you would think that the opportunities for bold new romance would be all over the place. Venus opposite Mars can be incredibly passionate<\/strong>, and anyone who has been sitting on the fence (romantically speaking) could easily be persuaded to get into the fray. That may sound all fine and well, but this weekend also sees Mercury square Neptune<\/strong>, which is the living definition of “fuzzy logic.” A passionate weekend may sound like exactly what you need, but try to use a little judgment.<\/p>\n

So, overall, it’s a potentially constructive week.<\/strong> Just use your head, keep the faith, and be the Prize Show-Horse you know you can be… not the pi\u00f1ata<\/em> life has tried to make of you lately.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
