That’s certainly important, but first an important word about Mars.

Whatever else may happen in your life this week, keep in mind that Mars is relatively unaspected. Although nothing may be agitating it, nothing is really holding it back either. This doesn’t necessarily spell disaster, but Mars is one of those kids I’d rather not see left unsupervised. If you have any important placements around 15° of the Fire or Air signs, get ready to feel an energy boost. If you any of those placements in Virgo or Pisces, you may want to prepare to duck and cover.

And what causes temper flareups? An excess of emotion, perhaps. Speaking of “an excess of emotion,” the Sun enters Cancer on Thursday. It joins Mercury and Venus there, and has the potential for many heartfelt conversations. Also: it holds the potential for the occasional nervous meltdown, breaking of diets, or outbursts of sentiment. Managed properly, these energies can make for a sweet and wonderful time … but please refer again to my Mars warning at the beginning of this forecast.

Jupiter spends its last week in Gemini for over a decade this week. Adding Jupiter to the emotional stew of Sun, Mercury and Venus has a lot of potential. So much so, in fact, that if you were expecting an emotional confrontation soon, you might be better off getting it out of the way now rather than waiting for the king of the planets to enter the watery sign of its exaltation. Jupiter lends bigness to everything it touches, and next week you might find the diffuse and airy mood of Jupiter in Gemini is something you should have taken advantage of while it lasted.

Sunday brings both the week and the lunar cycle to a close, with a Full Moon at 2° Capricorn. Although the Full Moon is often enough to jangle people’s nerves regardless of the sign placement, this one has the potential to be a little more constructive than usual. With the Sun still loosely conjunct Jupiter, and the Moon sextile to both Saturn and Pluto, the usual mood that accompanies the Full Moon might result in a positive outcome for you. If there is something in your life that needs to be shaken up — but in a constructive way — Sunday could well provide the opportunity.

Everything in Cancer is leaving Mars behind.
