Then again, this particular Full Moon carries more than the usual potential for things going haywire — and things going haywire on a Monday sounds just a little more painful than any other time of the week.

In my experience, the Full Moon in Virgo is one of the wackiest ones of the year. When its Evil Twin, the Full Moon in Pisces, falls in line with the first weekend after school starts, you can expect the neighbor’s lawn ornaments to be kicked over, or for some other manifestation of adolescent agitation to manifest itself. This particular Full Moon in Virgo carries a similar, agitated vibe. When you combine that with the beginning of the work week, all bets may be off as far as getting much work done. This is especially so for a Full Moon like this one, which is in a tight square to Jupiter in Gemini. Jupiter is the traditional ruler of bosses and authority figures and such, so (regardless of your own personal transits this week) perhaps “laying low and quietly doing your job” isn’t such a bad idea. Of course, if you had planned to quit your job this week anyway, this could be the way to do it in style … before security shows up to haul you away and stop your screaming. Otherwise, try not to over-react to your supervisor’s nonsense this week, okay?

Fortunately, although the Full Moon starts the road with a bump, the effect it casts over the next couple of weeks should be surprisingly positive overall. Jupiter sextile Uranus gives a boost to your creative visions and spurs your moves towards greater independence, and Mercury conjunct Mars puts a fire under your words and thoughts.

But: where is the love? Can we have a bit of romance with that, please? With all this furious celestial activity, we could all use a break — and fortunately, one will be provided. Venus conjunct Neptune is possibly the softest, fuzziest, so-cute-you-gotta-squeeze-it conjunction possible. Sure, it may not be the most practical of aspects, and sure it’s better for laying back and spotting shapes in the clouds rather than meeting deadlines and getting things done — but you’ve got to admit that with everything else going on, we could all stand to spend some time on the lawn staring at the sky. Or: staring blankly at the monitor and dreaming of a better world before your shift at work ends. It’s also an excellent time to express your romantic lingerings, longings, and intentions. Either way, it’s a welcome escape from all that stress and stuff the Full Moon set up. Just be cautious operating heavy machinery (literally or figuratively): agitation and romance may both make life more interesting in their own ways, but they’re lousy for staying focused on practical matters.

Can Love heal all wounds?
