""You may find yourself engaging in some rather strange encounters under the influence of Mars opposing Neptune (active November 6 to 8). When Mars—the planet of lust, passion and desire—faces off against Neptune—the watery planet of mystery and confusion—all bets are off. Boundaries you thought you had set in stone may go flying out the window and clothes you had planned to keep on may go flying off right after them. For this very reason, the Mars-Neptune opposition is a red flag for illicit affairs, secret romances and other messy sexual entanglements.

Since Neptune rules alcohol and addiction, this is a time to be extra careful if booze makes you blur the lines you’d otherwise keep on the straight and narrow. Though you’ll be tempted—as Mars in Leo spurs you on towards dramatic showdowns in your love life—you can set an intention to activate the more “spiritual” side of Neptune instead.

Unconditional love and spiritual growth may sound a little boring when you’re craving a walk on the wild side, but in the long run, you’ll probably get a lot more out of some time spent cultivating your “softer” side than you will hanging out in bars during this transit.

Active meditation, exercise in nature and intense creative activity are just a few of the more life-affirming possibilities for exploring the power potential of the Mars-Neptune opposition. If all else fails and you need a serious break from reality, at least direct your efforts towards the more creative and fun options, as Mars in the sign of the Lion thrives on a playful spirit.
