If you were patiently waiting for Monday night\u2019s Powerball numbers to be drawn,<\/a> you\u2019ll have to wait a little while longer.<\/p>\n

A technical error has caused a delay in Monday\u2019s numbers being drawn, a games spokesperson said during the scheduled drawing at 10:59 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

According to the California Lottery, Monday\u2019s drawing has been delayed \u201cdue to a participating lottery needing extra time to complete the required security protocols.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCurrently, one participating lottery is still processing its sales and play data,\u201d the Multi-State Lottery Association said in a statement late Monday night. \u201cPowerball requires all 48 participating lotteries to submit their sales and play data prior to the winning numbers being selected. Once Powerball receives the outstanding submission, the drawing can proceed.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
