when the fire alarm du jour rings; <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
when another inconvenience and discomfort threatens my peace, <\/span><\/div>\n
Again<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I ask myself:<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Do I want to suffer death from a million tiny papercuts?<\/span><\/div>\n
…little annoyingly uncomfortable things that for some reason, just. keep. coming.?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
(and does any of this really matter to me? Truly?)<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I decide.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
to re-anchor my Awareness into the ground, the soft, cool grass<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
to remember the ones I love,<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
and actually<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
energetically<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
place them in my heart<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Yes, instead of allowing IT to move me, <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I move MY Awareness<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I decide to not allow what’s “outside” to yank me to and fro<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I call my Self back<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
to all that I love and value, <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
to all that I AM<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
for my Awareness is my ship,<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
and I am in COMMAND<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
steady in this resolve,<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
one: <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
love,<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
remembrance,<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
sunset,<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
sweet gesture- a kindness toward myself, <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
at a time,<\/span><\/div>\n
~I pause ALL else~<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
so I can guide my ship away from the stormy weather,<\/span><\/div>\n
and back into the grace, ease, and peace that I AM<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
in this light-drenched calm <\/span><\/div>\n
I soon discover<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
the weather can no longer find me, not anymore<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

the dark clouds go elsewhere<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
distractions, irritations that once followed me,<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
now do not<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n

\n
…my Awareness cannot be commandeered<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
when I am in command of my Awareness.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
