In that spirit, this week’s forecast is focused primarily on something that was actually exact last week — specifically, on Sunday.

If you’re a fan of astrology (and especially if you’re a fan of astrology and being frightened of things) you’ve probably read all about the Mars-Uranus-North Node conjunction that happened last Sunday. Mars is a slow enough planet that this aspect is still in effect for this week.

You may have read elsewhere that that makes this a time when bonds are being broken and people are cutting loose from old unnecessary karma and seeking out new meaning and possibly new adventures. In many people’s minds that translates into, “Oh my God, all the horrible things that have been happening the last few months are going to suddenly get much worse!” To which I can only say, “Settle down there, buddy. You’ve been through worse. And you’ll likely survive more, at some point in the future.”

Besides, if you like using astrology to be nervous about life, I’d also mention that Mars is currently square and contraparallel to Saturn. Look THAT up if you need a thrill!

But, having said that, even a Mars with a lot of challenging aspects to it can be useful within the context of a relationship. Sometimes things need to be firmly addressed. And sometimes you just need to get over it and work things out in bed. Either way, Mars could be a great assistant to you this week.

On Thursday, Mercury enters the sign of Virgo. Overall, this should make for clearer and improved thinking and communications — certainly when compared to Mercury in Leo, which has a reputation for being better at karaoke than at concentration. With all that Mars action going on this week, there’s going to be plenty to talk about whether you want to or not. So find a loved one, sit them down, and tell them about everything they are doing wrong. No, wait, don’t nag. Mercury in Virgo can get a little that way sometimes.

And if your life gets out of hand in the next week, Venus is still in Cancer and will be there until the middle of next week. So why not treat yourself to a little Venus in Cancer kindness? Specifically, I recommend lying under a big blanket on the couch or in bed with a big glass of milk and a bag of cookies and a few of your favorite stuffed toys and watch cartoons (or Hallmark movies if you prefer). Yeah, I know. That doesn’t sound like the sort of thing a well-adjusted adult would do. But hey, if you don’t tell anyone, I won’t either. I’ve got your back!

Mars-Uranus Part 2: The Re-Aggravating!

Read more →

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[650
post-122069","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","tag-forecast
["GET
